This used to be our "go to" pizza place, but we are going to find a different one after tonight. We ordered delivery and had a coupon. They told us our cost on the phone, but when the pizza arrived it was $5 more than what they had told us it would be. Also, the pizza was ice cold when it arrived. I've ordered from them weekly for about 7 years. Having moved from Queens, it was as close to the pizza that I wanted as I was going to get in Darien CT. We enjoyed a quick pie at a fair price. Ordered at 5:30 they said delivery would take an hour, almost 2 hours later still not here and they could not tell me when we would get the order. Told them to keep it! Pizza is ok but they have no idea how to operate a business. 30 minute wait for take out is an hour because they have one register and everyone is running around like chickens with their heads cut off. It was bad enough at the old location but since the moves it's a DISASTER! We received a menu in the mail and figured hey lets try something new! We ordered delivery at 6:40pm on a Friday night. We ordered thru seamless and it said to expect our order in 30-45 minutes. Our food came in 1 hour and 15 mins. ( we live 2.9 miles away). When the food came, everything was ice cold. Overall, we were very disappointed. The food wasn't good, delivery was beyond late. If people think this is the best pizza in Darien they are clearly mistaken and not Italian! Skip this place. read more

Seriously cheap pizza, and you need to know that going in. It's thrown together quickly, delivered quickly, and the only differentiation is it's made with mostly fresh stuff. It's like a pizza version of Subway sandwiches in that regard. If you are a Darien soccer mom who just needs something to throw on a plate for the kids and babysitter, then I guess I understand why you love this place... otherwise, I don't understand the reviews. Oh well, it's not about me, and even if it were I'd tell you I order here a few times a year and happily crush 5-6 slices of pizza when I do. We are regular customers here and I am extremely disappointed with the last order that we had from here. I am handicapped and I specifically ordered delivery so they could bring the food to me. The driver called me down stairs and would not call up so I could let him into the building and bring the food to the door. He made me come downstairs to get the food. I was extremely disappointing and wish I had not left a tip cause if your not going to do the job right its not worthy of reward. Another big thing that was disappointing was I ordered the Calamari appetizer it came but it was ruined because they didn't poke holes in the top, so it was soggy and gross. read more

I like Heights for their delivery service - it usually takes a reasonable time to get the pizza (though I would order earlier on Friday or Saturday nights). If the wait time is too long, you can always go pick it up.... that normally is pretty fast! The pizza and sides are fresh and yummy - always key for good pizza. The crust is doughy, not too thick but not too thin (and it has never been burnt). And the guys who both make the pizza and deliver it are charming - a definite plus!! read more

Good pizza. Not great though. Whenever I go to a party serving pizza, it's Heights. Perfect for takeout. I rarely ever eat in the restaurant. It's a tiny place with only a few tables. after 16 years of being a patron of Heights Pizza, have to say that they are not living up to what is expected. Delivery's late, cold...in restaurant no regard for patrons, too busy talking among themselves and being roudy. Nothing arrives as it should be on sandwiches, always cold and unappatizing...and when you call to say they haven't delivered, they should be there any minute all the time...nice to know from the guy on the phone that the guy who used to deliver has been fired for stealing! On a two hour wait, mangement said "on us", driver tried to colledt anyway saying that would never be the case. Pizza is some of the best in the area HOWEVER,the service is some of the WORST we have ever experienced and we have meals delivered on an average of 2-3 times a week!! The people who answer the phone for orders are rude,not friendly,,seem rushed at all times and not at all concerned with helping the caller. Was that chicken parm sandwich really just microwaved? Bread was chewy/soggy and cheese was hard like when my nephew makes sandwiches in the microwave. Wrapped in tin foil so all the cheese came off when opening it up. Balsamic vinegarette is actually just Balsamic in a little cup. Disappointing. read more

Wow! Thoroughly impressed! Most places suck at salads, they just put a thin layer of toppings and the rest is big chunks of iceberg lettuce with crappy dressing but not here! Their Pizza is pretty good, but not great, and that's the best thing that I can say for this place. Their Mozzarella Sticks are the worse I've ever had. Ever. Really. Service, if you pick up, is always disorganized with lots of confusion and it can be difficult to get someone to serve you. The last time I went in, the guy behind the counter, who's mouth always hangs open due to an obviously confused state, started to get my order together but then the phone rang and he never looked at me again... He completely forgot about me. after a couple of minutes someone else came in from having a cigarette and and asked if I was being helped. I told her that I was but that seems to have come to an end so she took over. After a minute, I was told that it would be a couple minutes because my soup wasn't ready yet. So my pizza was sitting on the counter, getting cold, and they hadn't even started my soup yet! That was my last visit. My other two visits were similar experiences and everyone knows what happens after three strikes. Called Heights to find out where driver was several times and they gave me a bs answer that he was close and on his way. Then gave me a fake number and told me to call the delivery guy and find out where he was!! Unbelievably bad service. Pizza arrived cold, mushy, and ruined my daughters party.
