I have used their services at least 3 times and every time our family received excellent service. They were prompt in picking up the remains, because two family members died in their homes. The staff that transfered the remains were respectful. When on the phone with the representatives they too.were so very helpful and courteous. The family is able to view their loved one with a small service. Very cost efficient. I highly recommend their services. Especially if your love one was uninsured. We weren't left in the dark about any part of the process. They were outstanding to me and our family. We thank them. They made the grieving process easier to deal with. read more

I would say the only reason I didn't give 4 stars would be because the few times they said they were calling me back with an update and never did. other than that, they were extremely nice over the phone and in person when I came to pick up the remains. read more

It has been over 2 weeks since they picked up the body. They do not respond to phone calls or emails, when they finally do, they are rude and insensitive. This place is shady. I am strongly considering calling IDPH on the and I strongly suggest you do not use their services. They made a sad and stressful time even more stressful. The funeral service that taking care of my dad's arrangements to be shipped back down to Arkansas called "these people" Wednesday 8-26-20 to have his funeral viewing 9-4-20. Here it is 9-3-20 6:30am and his body has not been shipped. Mid you he was supposed to be in Arkansas Monday morning. The funeral service has called repeatedly, I have called them repeatedly and we have been met with nothing but unprofessional staff at one point couldn't find his paperwork, and countless excuses on why he wasn't properly taken care of. I implore you NOT to do business with "these people." Also, to add more insult to injury fury, they're giving me the run around about his death certificate, in which I should've had by now!!! They're supposed to be a 24hr service but nobody is there to answer any phones. read more

Unacceptable timelines and total lack of communication. Do not put your loved ones in the possession.

To whom it may, my mom Geraldine . Washington, was taken to Heights Crematory for cremation. After 2 wks. I was told that mom would be cremated would take place the next day Tuesday, and mom's ashes would be ready the next day. I made in appt. to pick mom's ashes on the next Thursday. Height Crematory is some distance from my home it took in hour to get there. When I arrived I was told things weren't done and they would deliver mom's ashes that day. I waited all day and called frequently to find out where mom's ashes were, I was assured delivery that day. the ashes weren't delivered and Height refused to return my calls. At 8:30 on Friday I again called, Where are my mom's ashes I was told by Adriana that she was on her way and my mom's ashes were all she had to do. At 12p. I still hadn't received mom's ashes. At 12:30 I received a call from a Spanish speaking man how presided to complain because he didn't know how to get to my address. I finally got mom's ashes. i explained to Mr. Clark that I would never use his service again, he didn't seem to care. I will never use Height Crematory again. My sisters body was turned over to Heights Crematory on Monday , 9/01/18, the day after her funeral services. Funeral was done by Slaughter Funeral Home. Now I'll admit that I don't know the process and procedure to cremate someone but why would there be a 22 day delay in cremation..?? It raises all kinds of questions and fears. I was told that we would have her remains in a week and it took nearly a month. This may not have been so bad if the funeral director kept us (me) updated on what was going on., but I had to contact her a couple of times as to the delay. I didn't want to upset anyone and receive floor sweepings in a box. I'm very dissatisfied with the customer service and care with both parties due to lack of communication on the funeral home. It's my 1st experience with cremation and all my non trust in the process have been heightened. I hope better for the next family. read more

I found 4 sets of cremains in a storage unit and the the containers were marked from Heights crematories. I tracked down the families of these and then called Heights Crematory and gave them the numbers off off the I.D. tags to positively I.D all 4 before I returned them. I received was fast, kind and courteous help from them. read more

Heights Crematory was great. The Staff was great!!! I was recommended to this place by my hospital University of Chicago. I had a preterm labor and due to my baby's lungs not being developed he did not make it unfortunately! They were fast and made me feel better than what I was. Even though it was unfortunate that I had to even come to the place. The owner and his wife and other staff made me feel comfortable about my decision to come to this place! read more

I would highly recommend that you look else where. Hospice recommended this facility to my Nieces and Nephew and they not knowing any better arranged to have my sister cremated with this facility and paid the additional fee to witness a portion of her cremation. I was disgusted in what I saw and what we where told about the collection of her ashes, this still hunts me. read more

When we lose someone in death it is the hardest thing. My daughter had her twin babies sent here and the furneal home said 3 to 5 days for the ashes to return to her. So after the first week we started to call the furneal home. To make a long story short it took over two weeks for my daughter to recover my grandsons ashes. We were told they would be back the evening I called but they didnt get back to the furneal home until the next afternoon. I think this was very unprofessional because.I am one of those people who like to give business the benefit of doubt but this was just unprofessional. My mother passed away in October 2018. Her funeral was October 26,2018. I had been calling the funeral home and calling the funeral trying to find out when her remains would be back. I finally contacted the Crematory on December 10th at 9am and told them I was looking for my mother's remains. The person that answered the cell phone that was linked to the business said they would call me back I'm 10 mins. I called them back at 10:20 because I never heard back from them but they didn't answer. I called again and got no answer. My aunt called 8 times and didn't get an answer either. Finally around noon she spoke to someone and was told she could pick up her remains. She picked up my mother's remains without any identification. They didn't know if my aunt was apart of the family or not but they gave the remains to her. In my opinion they are unorganized and unprofessional. My aunt said they were rushing her and the remains were done on December 6th but they never contacted the funeral home nor did the funeral home contact them. read more
