I am so impressed with the restorative yoga with reiki class. I've gone twice to the class and loved it! I highly recommend the Easton Yoga Center.

All different types of pain, from muscle spasms, to joint pain, to nerve pain, etc.. Over the past few months I have been been seeing a physical therapist for neck and shoulder problems 2x a week and a chiropractor for back, shoulder, hip and neck problems 2x a week. Over the past 2 weeks, my hips and back have literally been ON FIRE, like if you were to pull my clothes back, I am convinced that what you would see would be a raging, burning fire. About a month ago, I decided that when the kids went back to school, I was going to make it a goal to attend a yoga class twice a week. After all, I had bought not 1, but 2 packages last year and I hadn't made any time to use any of them. I have a crazy busy schedule with all of my doctor's appointments, 2 jobs and two small kids with their own appointments and activities; and I never make time to do anything I enjoy (outside of being "mother"). So anyway, I've been busy, I've been in pain, yadayadayda...and I succeed in making to class last Wednesday! SCORE!!! I was convinced I'd get on the mat and cry for the full 75 minutes because I am so wound up, I was worried I'd let it go as soon as there was silence, lol! Well I didn't cry-at all. In fact, I came out of that ONE class with peace and a sense of openness in my whole body and mind. After that ONE class, the burning throughout my body instantly cooled. My muscles feel awake rather than attacked and I keep repeating to myself: "balance the ease and the effort-find my comfortable place" in everything I do. Bonnie made such an impact on my body and mind after one class, that I crave to be in her class again. Her manual adjustments are amazing and her verbal cues are spot on. Her flows are meaningful and perfect. Bonnie's class is truly healing. On top of all that, she's downright funny, relatable and easy to be around!!! She doesn't take herself too seriously and she makes everyone feel so comfortable to not be perfect, but strive to be comfortable. I was actually surprised at how much more I was able to get into different twists and stretches with her guidance to NOT push it. I've taken many classes where the teacher says that, but there is something in the way that Bonnie approaches it that made it tangible enough to actually believe it-and then execute it and take it off the mat after. I am thrilled to have stumbled upon Bonnie and I wanted to share how much I appreciate her work. I am grateful, to say the least! Thank you! One month update: In a bizarre turn of events, my son jumped into my arms and gave me whiplash. I continued to take Bonnie's class while I was healing. I truly believe in her teaching!

Club Pilates has been a great place for me and in just one month of attending classes in the new…read moreVillage Shoppes Canton location, I've recognized that my outlook on exercise (something I struggled with very much in the past) is so much better, encouraged in a positive way, and so much more holistic. I had only taken mat pilates classes in the past, so all the new-to-me equipment is exciting to use and I look forward to the different class offerings. I've taken an intro class, level 1 and level 1.5 classes, and they can be so different. I was huffing and puffing in a Suspend 1.5 class, using TRX bands and wondering if I was going to survive the hour; Reformer Flow 1 classes that allow me to really stretch and listen to my body - recognize what positions I'm in and if I'm in pain and need to modify, or if I can challenge myself further. My favorite was a Reformer 1.5 class where I realized I still have a lot of my flexibility from my dance years but still need to build my ab muscles to bring myself back upright without looking like a fish out of water. I've had 4 different teachers so far and they bring so much to the table (or reformer, rather) - they're all encouraging in different ways - they seem to always have their eye on you so you know you'll get guidance if you need it, yet I don't feel like I'm being watched or judged, and they share their love and knowledge for the practice in a way that motivates. I've tried to go to other pilates studios in the past, but they've had this air about them that made it really intimidating--this is not the case at Club Pilates. I have enjoyed working with their staff and teachers - Amy and Jen are fantastic and have been so helpful and go above and beyond. I've realized that I can get a well-rounded workout via Club Pilates and recently canceled my 13 year old gym membership to opt for unlimited classes at Club Pilates. Why pay for something that I don't use and don't enjoy going to when I can really invest in something I can already tell is working? Currently, I couple this with weekly spin classes - just to mix things up and challenge myself with a different and intense type of workout. If you're on the fence, just try a free intro class. You won't be disappointed.
