****Updated review**** Wow, what a difference a year makes. Yelp readers, this is a lesson in giving second chances even when you have a negative experience. So last year was a complete disaster. I had someone come and give me a quote and had no less than 4 broken promises of someone to come and do the install. A year later, my husband asked if we were going to try again. The owner did reach out last year after my negative review and an email I send to him apologizing after-all. Reluctantly, I reached out again this year. I contacted the owner directly. He responded right away and welcomed the opportunity to provide service this year (Christmas lights). 10/10 experience! Someone reached out scheduling my date, someone texted to confirm my date, someone called the day before to confirm the layout, we even FaceTimed! Someone called the day of to confirm again, and the confirmed person arrived on time! He did an amazing job. When I asked for one thing he confirmed I really wanted it like that and once he questioned it I realized I didn't, it wouldn't have looked good so I appreciated him asking as opposed to just doing it like the layout said. He tweaked things once he looked at it from a distance and I mean the entire experience was just amazing. So much so we are going to have them quote us some permanent outdoor lights for our backyard. Hands down I would recommend them. read more

Contracted them to have my house pressure washed including a deck and to clean the gutters, for a hefty bill $652.90!. Their guy showed up on the day of service but only finished half because apparently his equipment did not work. Came in the next day and told me he finished it, but when I got home I noticed my front brick of the house was not even touched and had lots of debris still. And that's where things went downhill. Even though I paid their overpriced invoice of over $650 right away as I thought they'll stand behind their work, I got nothing but run around from all their people who not only ignored my calls and even rescheduled me for the wash but never even showed up nor apologized for again wasting my time and eventually stopped returning my text, calls and emails!! they got their money and they're gone!! read more

I was out of town for almost two weeks and came home to a secret garden of weeds and moss. Don't get me wrong--it wasn't sparkling before I left, but it had reached an all new level of Out Of Control. I called Heffernan's to remove the weeds and debris, pressure wash all the surfaces, and spray/kill the moss growth. They were able to fit me in next-day and were great to work with! I also hired the team for a full exterior/interior window cleaning, roof wash, and house wash earlier this year... the results were literally sparkling. read more

We had them come once for gutter cleaning and they showed up at the scheduled time and did a decent job. We then scheduled another cleaning after our leaves had fallen. They were supposed to come out on a Tuesday, but they never showed. We called Wednesday and they had no idea that they never showed. They initially scheduled us again for the following Monday, but promptly called back to say the subcontractor would call that day to schedule it. It is now the following Sunday and we had received no calls. My husband was required to go clean out our gutters one week after surgery to avoid having frozen leaves in the gutter. All would have been avoided if they simply showed up for the initial appointment. We will not be hiring them again! read more

My wife and I couldn't be happier!!!! We called Heffernan's home service to soft wash our house that had green algae all over it and it was worth every penny!!! Our house looks like we just had brand new siding put on it wow we also had our windows cleaned which makes all the difference. We will absolutely use them again. I have used Heffernan's for 3 years now and have given them very positive reviews BUT not this time! I had them power wash my entire house and back patio and washed the exterior windows. It seemed to be a good job until I realized a couple of days later one one my shrubs was dying. I called several times, sent pictures twice and there has been no communication!! Also almost all the screens were put in upside down so I had to reinstall them. This company has really gone hill. That's a shame because they've lost a loyal high paying customer! read more

Easy! I called a different place and they planned to come out some time within the next two weeks. They also wanted to charge me an extra $40 to tighten any loose gutters. I checked out Heffernans on yelp and sent a message for some info. Chris got back to me very quickly and gave me a website where I could schedule myself for gutter cleaning. Cool! I quickly canceled with the other people and was able to select my day and timeframe - so convenient! Fast forward to today; Chris and a coworker showed up on time (early actually) and got the work done quickly. They gave me some tips on a few things and told me about some problem areas to keep an eye on. Great experience beginning to end and now we have clear gutters. Will definitely keep them in mind for future projects. read more

I would not give any stars if I could!!! NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!! I waited all day for them to come and clean my gutters yesterday. I was told they would be there by 3:30---NEVER SHOWED UP AND DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER CALLING ME!!!! read more

The chemicals used to clean our house killed our plants that received direct and indirect spray from their cleaning process. I provided pictures to Heffernan's and never received a call from the owner. This is a failure to take responsibility for the damaged they caused. read more

Christmas lights installed year 2 wasn't home to inspect my mistake entire strand of lights on bushes connect to nothing, wires pulled so tight the ones that should plug in barely reach outlet and pulled so tight bound to get a short. Now entire string of lights fell off the house and not even up a week. The lines and cords look like ms spaghetti. Trash and bulbs left in the driveway and yard. Last year with new install wired with a short and my outlet is still black from overheating. Called the owner Chris Saturday mornin it's Monday evening no return call and after spending over $5k you think a return call would be good customer service. Do not sign with these people the sales was friendly the service sucks! read more

We have used them for years for Christmas lights. Always did a great job - very expensive, especially the first year but never any issues. This year we paid in advance to get a 10% discount- biggest mistake I've ever made. Lights were supposed to be up a month ago... still waiting. 3 emails, 2 text messages and 4 phone calls later and it's been almost 30 days. I guess it's best to use them once as a new customer - they get your business and then after that follow thru with nothing. I'm so disappointed and frustrated. I would not recommend using them. They also promised they would have everything completed multiple times yet the decorations are still not complete. It's a lot of over promising and under delivering. Again- first year was great... 3rd year... not so much. I hate writing bad reviews, but what I hate more is company's not being fair or honest. If they make this right, I'll be sure to follow up with how they did so. read more

Made appointment for Friday. At time of appointment I got a text saying their tech had poison ivy and could they come Sunday. I texted back immediately saying Sunday was fine and asked what time. Was ghosted from there on despite several follow up texts to try and confirm. read more

Last week I was contacted through Home Advisor and received a estimate. I went with someone else. Last night after 10 P.M. I received a text from this company complaining that my "lead" from Home advisor cost them $34. I asked them to not contact me and the text keep coming? Kinda creepy read more

Total bait and switch! The guys that showed up to hang our lights were 18 years old with no supervision! They will invoice you every day online if you don't pay that day! Will not stand behind service or fix if something wrong! read more

Chris did a wonderful job power washing our driveway and walks. They look brand new. They also installed gutter screens and cleaned the gutters. They were extremely nice and did a great job. Chris gave us an estimate and the job was completed the next day. We would definitely recommend Heffernans. read more

I observed a solicitor drive through the neighborhood throwing cards in the street, somewhat near mailboxes. Upon reviewing it was an advertisement for Heffernan Home Services attached to a clothes pin, these were on the street next to every mailbox. A call to the company yielded a less than interested employee with no action taken. I would not trust a company to provide services that advertises through littering. read more

Highly recommend this company. Purchased an Angie's List Deal for gutter cleaning and the whole process from start to finish was well worth the money I paid. Communication was maintained throughout and I even had pics texted to me of the work before and after since no one was going to be home during the work. I contacted them to clean our windows based on our neighbor's recommendation and they didn't disappoint! I made the appointment via email with Chris giving me an estimate in our exchange. They showed up on time a couple days later, were friendly, and did a great job at a great price. You can't ask for more than that and I'd highly recommend them to anyone! read more
