I've been dealing with disc degeneration for about 15 years. I'm pretty sure I've tried just about everything you could think of. Ultimately I've had to have 2 surgeries, the latter being a fusion. I don't want to continue down that road so I've been taking matters into my own hands & getting under Jenni's feet. Her approach to wellness fits into my approach to getting to the root cause of my injuries. That means trying to balance and strengthen my foundation/frame and unwrapping the years of shortened and lengthened muscles and fascia that have compensated for me over the years. Jeni's functional integrative series supports and aids me in my journey. I've never had massage that is so much more than a massage. Jeni has helped identify issues and provided treatment on areas I didn't even realize had become an issue. As we peeled back the layers of years of imbalance in my body, I am on my way to being the best version of myself, balanced, strong, and enduring. Thank you Jeni for lending me your knowledge, patience and experience. Book with Heeling Sole and experience what therapeutic functional massage can do for you. read more

This place is nothing you would imagine. They perform all the therapy with feet. I'm surprised during my session. Alissa was my therapist. She did everything that Is usually done with hands. She focused on my lower back where I had severe pain. You will feel the feet pressing against your back. I've been to massage with feet before but this is next level expertise. Definitely worth trying. If you yelper then you get $5 off your massage. Isn't it great?? Thanks Alissa. I would come back here for sure. Thanks for correcting Me. read more

I've been going to Heeling Sole every other week since I moved here. And I'll have to say goodbye due to the impatient and rather rude front desk woman. My card didn't run for some reason. I called my bank and you had the wrong address on file. I called you back to update address. You proceeded to run card another NINE times and it still didn't work. You had a random address for me in Suttons Bay, MI. Well, of course it didn't run. I called my bank again and merged you into a call. They resolved the situation. You rudely hung up when it was your fault the entire time! Rude rude rude front desk! read more

Heeling Sole Barefoot Massage - Massage Therapy Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

The message I received was exquisite. This being my first message ever I have nothing to compare to, but I would say that was the best experience I have had in my short 59 years of life. Before the message I had not been sleeping due to the pain in my shoulders and lower back. I slept through the night for the first time in months. Rose was my therapist and she did a wonderful job. I would and will recommend these ladies to anyone that will listen. Great job. read more

I have been suffering with sciatica for a couple of months. I was seeing a wonderful massage therapist at my home in Alabama who was giving me some relief. Then on my visit to San Antonio I stumbled across Heeling Sole and my therapist Jessica. After two visits I have had significant improvement. I'm already booked for two more sessions and look forward to being either pain free or near pain free after these visits. If you have never had your back walked on you should try it now. IT IS AMAZING!!!! read more

Seriously... gotta come here if you want a FANTASTIC massage. Never knew about ashiatsu style massage until hitting San Antonio and so thankful I did. I have received about 12 massages from Cat since September and will say it is worth every penny and then some more! Recovery is extremely important to me as an athlete and Cat exceeds expectations every time. There is an obvious culture of continuous personal development encouraged as Cat has new ideas and techniques just about every time I get on the table. She takes the time to explain what techniques she is using and why she is using it. This particular time, static stretching and positioning with "bio somatics" was provided and can honestly say immediate relief through both my ankles. And before even getting back to the massage table, you are greeted by Monica who is just awesome to chat with! The environment is comfortable and this is definitely my favorite 90 minutes of my week when I get to indulge! Thanks guys! read more

I was able to book a massage quickly. There was a misunderstanding about the start time when I got there. Since this was my first time and there was initial documents and information involved, but my therapist, Dee, was pleasantly easy to work with about it. The massage itself was great with Dee explaining the plan after she read my profile and I answered her questions about my issues. I've had one other Ashiatsu massage with great results, and this one did not disappoint either. I was so glad to have the 90 minute massage since my troubled areas needed the extra time. Dee did a great job with pressure and listening when I needed more. After the massage, I was told about their specials. I misunderstood (massage hangover?) the details of the packages, and inadvertently signed up for a plan with a recurring credit card charge thinking I was getting a second massage for a discounted price. After realizing this, Laura helped me get everything straight. The seem great if you are interested in their yoga classes and Ashiatsu massages. There should be more clarity about the recurring charges since I was not given a contract or agreement to sign. I did not realize the deal until I inquired about the information on the receipt I was sent by email. The massage was great and over all a good experience and a must try if you like deep tissue massages! read more

Great service, great people. Jeni runs a top notch business.

Another "TOE-tally" awesome ashiatsu massage from Ninja!! I only had the 60 min massage this time, but I was massage drunk by 8:30pm and was so happy to put my PJs on and get to sleep!! Thank you so much for the dreamless sleep!! read more

Jeni is amazing! I got the privilege to have her work on my knots, sore bones and joins while she was still up in Seattle Washington. I tracked her down when I flew into Texas. If you are ever in the area I HIGHLY recommend making time to get in. Your body will appreciate it! Her new location is very relaxing and offers Yoga! who doesn't love it! All her staff is amazing and I have also been allowed to participate in her training sessions and got great massages from her trainees. She takes care in what she does and makes sure care and respect is passed along to everyone she trains. Every client gets top notch massages and the utmost respect! I have never liked the idea of someone walking all over me, but I LOVE getting worked on by Jeni and her crew! read more

I get regular massages and can honestly say I have never gotten one of this magnitude!!! It was incredible! Words don't describe how different the Massage is by using the feet. I had a very terrible exchange with Ms. Jeni, the owner when I met in person to correct what I thought was a bad customer service issue. While they do great work, I can't give my business to a company who values google rankings over relationships & doing the right thing. It's an ethics thing. The short story: I found Healing Sole on Yelp after moving to AH last month. I told the receptionist this when I booked my 1st appt; in fact, because they have a unique style I told them I knew what to expect because I viewed the photos on Yelp. I discovered a few days later that I should have been given a 20% discount, and they declined honoring it. (I missed the coupon the day I booked) The longer verson: After several attempts to figure out how to claim the coupon and also calling to book a 2nd appointment to request help, they declined to help. I was told the Manager was unavailabe for several days when I asked for her. Of course that upset me, so I decided to drive over and wait for her in between appointments. I discreetly told her how I felt her receptionist had failed to help me with this and then she proceeded to explain it was she I was speaking, the owner, not a receptionist, and that in a "clearly marked coupon" for "first timers" that it must be redeemed when checking-in; that she's too busy and its not a good use of her or her staff's time to help people redeem the coupon. She continued to explain the only reason she does it is to get check-ins to help her Google Ranking. - I was flabergasted! Helping customers should be the receptionist's job! She explained there were other ways to earn discounts but I told her, with all due respect, its not about the money, it's about poor customer service and that I feel short changed. She said she would not "be bullied into giving a coupon she doesn't even have to honor." At that point, I extended my hand in peace, shook hers, and walked out peacefully, stating, I will never do business with a company who puts policy before relationships. .... In regard to the owner's comment: 1. The salon was not closed, it was 10 minutes before closing since the receptionist said the owner couldn't return my call until two days later. Being closed or booked isn't a good reason to make a customer wait. Had I been given the respect of being told I was speaking to the owner the first time I would have left it alone; I wanted clarity as to who was saying no. But being put off is frustrating. I had no idea at that point an owner would be ok with being a policy stickler on such a matter and that's whom I was speaking with. 2. The employee I spoke with was standing out front and approached me since she was my technician so I asked to speak with her in private rather than create an embarrassing situation at front. I thought the receptionist was the receptionist not the owner. The tech should have told me when I arrived the day of my first appointment because I stated I found the salon on yelp. I'm sorry if you felt that was inappropriate but if you ask her she'll tell you I was very polite and respectful. 3. I don't think that name calling is appropriate in any circumstance; saying I'm bullying you is outrageous. Persistent perhaps, but not bullying. I was terribly offended at that point. Asking for a customer service correction is reasonable and if being guarded by the front desk and denied to speak to the manager, making a personal visit to discus bad customer service with the owner who may have not realized that this was happening is not out-of-line. As a business owner I'd want to know right away to avoid negative energy. I called once to book a second appt and was told to check in via yelp which at that time I didn't understand what that meant. I called a second time to ask for help with that and was declined and that it would be two days before the mgr/owner could return a call, Nf then when I figured out the coupon thing I came into the store to ask is the owner would be willing to honor it since it would expire in four hours. It seemed reasonable. I was polite until you said I was bullying you. You just don't want a customer to advocate for what they think is right. It's not like I've had ten appointments, I've been once. 4. Had it mattered, I took a screen shot of the coupon a few days after my appointment which is dated. I wasn't ready for another appointment so I was waiting until I was ready to book. 5. I appreciate you inviting me back but it's negative energy now. And if I was so much s bully it seems odd you'd welcome me back. Anyway, like I said, I can't patronize any business who is overly focused on policy. It was intended to get new customers and build your SEO. In this case it had an opposite effect for me. As to why the owner is such a stickler, lack of time to explain Yelp, a simple wall sign encouraging check-ins with instructions would solve that. Not rocket science. The only way to fix it is to apologize and correct the wrong doing. read more

The best part of my trip to San Antonio was my 2-hour ashiatsu massage with Jeni Spring. Jeni is smart, sweet, and caring, which puts the client at ease from the outset. I have had ashiatsu before - some good, some just so-so - but Jeni is clearly an expert, which is not surprising, since much of her practice consists of teaching ashiatsu to novices. If you've never had ashiatsu before, it may sound odd - the masseuse walking all over you with her bare feet - but it's really the best way to get into those stiff, aching muscles. Traditional Swedish massage, by comparison, just feels like someone rubbing and pulling on your skin. Anyway, if I ever come back to San Antonio, the very first thing I'm doing is booking an ashiatsu appointment with Jeni Spring! read more

Awesome!!! You've got to try Ashiatsu massage!!!

Let me begin with this - we discovered Ashiatsu massage a few months ago in Austin. Now, when we travel we always try to look for therapists who massage this style Now onto my visit here ... When I opened the front door to their lobby I was hit hard with the scent of incense. To me this is a smell you love or hate - & hate it, a lot. I checked in with the receptionist and made a stop at the rest room. When I walked back to the lobby I was handed another clipboard and told "sign this" - this was by my therapist who I had not met yet. I was asked or "told" to sign a appt. Cancelation fee form for future appts. ( that I had not even made yet ) It would have been nice if she would have said " Hi, my name is -------- and I am your therapist today. Before basically demanding a signature. So -with the slam of the incense already fresh on my mind the lack of customer care was strike two. When I got to the massage room - more incense burning. I asked her if we could get rid of it - she did - but I felt she was annoyed. Strike 3. The massage - it was good. Not great, but good. I get one to four massages a month and know what to expect. If you have never had one this style or like a good fairly deep tissue it would be adequate. But the ones I have had at another location are like a ballet on your back - smooth and effortless but deep and very thorough. This was not like that. My therapist was Jessica. I know because I asked her name as I was walking out the door since she never introduced herself. I would not return. Both therapist we saw seemed tired and not happy to be working. read more

Jeni is AMAZING!!!!! I'm an active crossfitter & recently had jaw surgery. Jeni has always been able to get my muscles to calm down after a tough week in the gym. Wow just what I needed. I am a mechanic and work out at least 5 to 7 times a week also dance couple times through the week. My shoulders, hamstrings and calfs get real tight when I don't get a Deep Tissue Massage. With that said this was better than any Deep Tissue Massage I have ever received. They use their bodyweight to work out a lot of the knots in your back or legs. I can tell it's good cause my shoulders and legs are loose. I recommend this place to anybody with an active lifestyle. read more

Just tried Heeling Sole this week, GREAT EXPERIENCE. I cannot believe how much better this is than a traditional "fist and elbow" deep tissue massage! This technique is immediately relaxing (a little weird at first with someone dancing on your back) but I can't recommend this enough. This is perfect for anyone wanting something more effective than a deep tissue massage... or who shies away from massages because they are painful / uncomfortable. With barefoot massage it is immediately relaxing and relieving, you can feel and hear the knots popping away right away. And it feels fantastic, like your body is being kneaded and worked like a heavenly piece of cookie dough. read more
