I dropped them off expecting some issues with the repair process. Not only was I given a quick turnaround on the repair time, but when I got my boots back they were in incredible shape. However, after wearing them for 4 hours the night after I picked them up the sole came off again. I was very frustrated. Unfortunately, the soles were a weird foam rubber that didn't mend. Lost cause. Solid 4 stars but not 5. My regular shoe guy not only fixes them but gives a good polish too...goes above and beyond. Got these back as I left them, which is fine, just not as expected. Would have asked for a polish if I'd known. Was also surprised I had to pay when I dropped off...never had to do that with similar services where you are leaving something as collateral. I later found out there was a shoe repair on first floor of my hotel with good reviews already. Wondering if I shoud have used them or if they could have done something different to fix. Not Sam's fault if it's not fixable, but he needs to be up front with customers when they drop off if he doesn't think it is fixable.

A quick walk from my office, I dropped off my shoes with a floppy sole and he fixed them quickly. I had to ask for him prior to paying to shine them up, having read the other review, but overall I am happy with the results. I will use Sam again based on convenience.
