I am used to my appointments being 15-20 minutes long because they pride themselves on quick service. My boyfriend and I share a car and we had to go pick up his kids from school before my appointment and then I told them to just wait in the car because my appointment would only be 15 minutes. Easy peasy. Kids wouldn't get antsy or fight and we'd be home by 4:30 (my appointment was at 4). The morning of my appointment I got a call that my waxer was out for the day so I would be with someone else. Which is totally fine with me! Until it wasn't. I got to my appointment right on time, then was told I had to wait a few minutes. Which is fine because I usually have to wait about 3-5 minutes. 10 minutes goes by and my waxer finally came out to take me to the back. I've never seen her before at this location so I assumed she was newer, but I know they train well so I wasn't worried. Finally she starts my wax and it's all going well and she's chatting with me and making me feel comfortable, she is pulling my skin taught so it doesn't hurt and it's going really well! Then she kept going over the same spot, over and over again. Which I know is because she wanted to get all the hairs out, but I felt it getting later and later and I knew my boyfriend and his kids were waiting in the car and I just knew that they were getting antsy. Anyways, she did a great job, but I checked my phone at the end and it was 4:50!!! 4:50?! 40 minutes to do a Brazilian. I'm fine with having a new person, but I would've love to know she was going to take that long for my appointment! That was ridiculous!! And no one even seemed to apologize about it. When I finally was at checkout, I didn't even want to schedule again because 1. I didn't know if I'd want to come back to this location, even though it's the closest to my house and 2. I was now in a rush because my appointment was 35 minutes over what I thought it would be. We had someplace to be and now we were really late for it. I'm really disappointed in my service this past experience. Warn your customers if it's a newer waxer and if they take longer so they can plan better. You are in customer service after all! She is listed as a Level I Stylist on the website but I had a good feeling about her. She immediately understood what I was trying to accomplish with my hair. I have curly/wavy hair and I like to wear it curly or blown out sometimes and it has been hard to find someone here who could create the style I wanted. I've even gone as far as to get my haircut on long layovers with my previous stylist in AZ! Cydney totally exceeded my expectations. She had the most gentle energy about her and knew what I was trying to say immediately. I finally feel like myself again! I am so grateful that I finally found someone who "gets it". The only reason I didn't give 5 starts is because some of the other stylists were talking some smack about other customers which always makes me wonder what they could be saying about me when I am not there but Cydney didn't participate in it and that earned her even more respect in my eyes. My daughter got gel with French tips. However after only a few days they began to come off. I called and they said they had a 7 day guarantee and that we could come back and fix it for free. They were very friendly about it and did not make us feel uncomfortable. I really appreciated it. Apple, was my daughter's nail technician and she was so kind and professional. We ended up just getting regular gel nail polish. The front desk girls have great customer service. But some of the other workers there are very intimidating and just stare at you. Every customer should be greeted and welcomed in, after all we did pick your establishment to spend our money. Overall, the experience was good. DO NOT COME HERE. PLEASE BE CAREFUL…read more UPDATE: my toe is fully swollen and red and extremely hot to the touch. I'm so upset and now I have to manage this. This was supposed to be a relaxing experience but turned out to disrupt my next few days. Unbelievable $80 for this is absolutely insane. Got a pedicure here and the lady cut the side of my toenail down all the way to the cuticle. I can't walk on my foot because my big toe hurts so bad. I screamed when she did it and couldn't believe how much of my toe nail she cut off. When I got home, examined all my toes and she cut all of my toe nails at an angle and ruined the shape of my nail? I have no idea why. She did not paint my full toe nail. She painted about 70% of my nail and didn't paint any of the sides, got tons of polish all over my skin. Had to take today off because my toe hurts so had. I'm praying it's not infected. It's going to take forever for my nail to grow back and probably be an ingrown. Not to mention the entire time this lady was trying to up sale me on getting a more expensive pedicure and I kept refusing. It was exhausting. I am beyond pissed at how much my toe hurts. Due to COVID, they are limiting the amount of people who can be in the salon at the same time, everyone wears masks, stations are spread out, and they have clear shower curtains hanging between stations for extra precaution.
