I'll just say that HedgeHog Electric was not my first choice for an electrician. But it was right around the Christmas holidays and the other electricians I contacted or got quotes from weren't available until mid-January at the earliest... and I needed to get my washer and dryer out of the middle of my living room ASAP! Finally, a third-party installer associated with RC Willey recommended me to Hedgehog and I decided to go with them even though they didn't offer free estimates. Nathan Dial came to my house and was not only professional and seemed knowledgeable, but he suggested a less expensive and less involved repair than I had been told I needed. I'll admit I grilled him a little bit to make sure he wasn't trying to skimp out on the job, but he stuck to his guns and turned out to be right! It's been almost a month and my washer and dryer are working perfectly! In summary: + The scheduling process is very easy, they were available right away, and I LOVED the fact that they could do the job the same day if the job is fairly simple. Pluses of a small, local company! + The job was done fast and very neatly, and Nathan was nice and professional. + The price was very fair (quote from a different electrician was $450. Hedgehog quoted $300-350 for the same job, but suggested an alternative that ended up being only $200). + Overall I was very pleased and would recommend to anyone! read more

This is the best electrical company we have worked with and we have worked with many. We have had a constant problem with the electricity in our basement shorting out. We have had no less then 7 electrical contractors out to our house with varying results. Some have gotten our power on quickly, others have taken hours to figure out the problem. We have had two leave after several hours, charging us but not fixing the problem. Then we hired HedgeHog. They came right out and quickly identified the problem as an exposed wire that was outside of the house. Not one of the many contractors we hired had ever been able to diagnose the problem. Not only that, he had it diagnosed within minutes of arriving at our house. And, to top it off, it was one of the smaller bills we have paid. AMAZING!!! This company and its employees are the best. I used them for an add on to my home that included a new kitchen and bathroom. They gave me an estimate for the rough in and the finish work. When I was ready they set up a date and came the day promised and on time. They notified me prior to arriving along with a photo of the employee who was coming. Jessy was great, really nice and willing to explain anything I asked. He was also flexible on some changes I wanted to make. When I was billed it was exactly for what I was quoted and the changes I made were billed in line with the rest of the quote. I have used them in the past on my original home and twice on the new construction once for the rough in and again for the finish. My wife and I purchased a new home in Mesquite, Nevada. Bo Bundy from Hedgehog came and gave us an estimate. This young man is incredible. Gracious, kind, extremely knowledgeable and he has got the whole "customer-service" thing down! A month later, he and his partner, John (who's equally as awesome) spent about four hours in our home (on a Saturday no less) putting up a series of lights- they even installed my Ring doorbell at no cost. They stayed after for a few minutes, gave us a tutorial on some of the more complex lighting options, and had lunch with us. Great guys, superior service, and their work looks great. I'd love for Bo to marry my lovely daughter, but apparently he already has a girlfriend! Thank you Hedgehog. We'll be calling you again for more lights in our home office! read more

St. George, UT: I did a Google search and saw that HedgeHog had lots of high ratings, so I called them at 8:00 am. They told me then that their service charge would be $95, but they didn't charge me anything up front. They said they could arrive between 8:30 and 10:00 am, and their serviceman called back at 8:15 to tell me they would arrive in 15 minutes. Jessie and Mike showed up at 8:30. They diagnosed the problem and did a cursory check of both house panels. They had the part I needed in their van, so they were able to fix the problem in about 30 minutes. Jessie and Mike were super nice and professional. Great experience overall. I will definitely call HedgeHog back if I have any electrical needs here in St. George. read more

One of our circuit breakers was continuously tripping and we had lost electricity to the master bedroom and all of our smoke alarms. I called HedgeHog Electric based on excellent Yelp reviews and I can honestly say I was not disappointed. Ryan was very professional and explained to me step by step on how he was troubleshooting the problem. After about two hours of intense troubleshooting he found the root of the issue (short to ground) and our electricity was restored. I really appreciate Ryan's perseverance and resolve. We needed to install a new light fixture in our bathroom and when I went to install it myself I found a big problem that was beyond my electrical expertise so we googled electricians near our home. Hedgehog was one of the ones that popped up first. When I called to get a quote they were friendly, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. They were also able to come quickly. Ryan the technician was so awesome. He was on time, helpful, so kind and got the job done in a matter of minutes. He also took the time to explain the problem so we would understand. I don't know if HedgeHog is the cheapest, but they did great work. I was comfortable having them in my house. They were knowledgable, friendly, showed me how to save money in the future. They returned our call quickly and fit us in quickly. Maybe we just got lucky with Robert (and I think the other employee might have been Ryan), but if they're all like Robert, you can't lose. My only hesitation in writing a review is I'd almost rather they remain a secret as a lot of businesses can't maintain the same quality with growth. I selected Hedgehog Electric based on great online reviews. My experience was right in line with the reviews I was relying on. I booked an appointment to replace a half dozen smoke detectors plus some input on replacing a noisy bathroom fan. I received both a call and email (with picture) on who was coming to do the work. Jessy was right on time, assessed the work, gave me a cost estimate, and got it done. He didn't forget the fan. The pricing was the best out of a few contractors I called. We had a line extension from an existing switch to install a ceiling light in our living room. They charge by the job. This job was around $175 for line extension, box and light installation. I had provided my own light for them to install. The tech was pleasant and got the job done doing as few cuts in my walls as possible. In the end, it was easy to patch up the holes he had to make, which was only two. Very happy with the pricing and the work. We'll be using them again. read more

We had HedgeHog install power to our garage and fix an outlet in the kitchen. I'm very happy with the work they did. Our technician was Robert and he was great. He was on time, really friendly, professional, and did great work. He even threw the tennis ball for my dog in the backyard while working on installing power to our garage. We had a problem with the 220 current going to our Hot Tub. We were quoted $69 for a visit to find out what the problem was. The electrician who came was very courteous and a great guy. He found out we just hadn't properly pushed the breaker button all the way in. I was prepared to pay the $69, but he said there would be no charge. What a great guy!
