They do an excellent job in presentation, quality of dishes with a good blend of French flair to it. Food: The Chicken pastilla- That is an appetizer of chicken stuffed in a pastry like coating. Delicious way to start the meal. Steak- Hearty piece of ribeye that came with scrumptious French fries. Grilled Chicken- This a good option if you want a lighter option. Came with a fresh side salad. Also we had a side pasta that came with mushroom cream sauce. It was a nice extra touch to our meal. Everything was amazing and wish I could visit again soon to eat this food. The restaurant is nicely decorated with nice seating. The service is professional and provide recommendations on the menu if needed. Side Note-halal menu. ~

On the first visit they had a big party and were still able to give exceptional service to every table on the ground floor. 5 star restaurant highly recommended if your tastebuds want to enjoy something unique.

Friterie Tabora - Fries with Dallas sauce and fries with Andalouse sauce.

Since I was in Belgium (which is the country that invented french fries if you weren't aware), I…read moreknew that I needed to check out some good friteries around the city. There were some recommendations online for Fritteria Tabora, and since it wasn't too far from us we decided to check it out. It's a small shop that is to-go, and there was a long line that we waited out of for around half an hour. When you order, they'll essentially scoop the fries out of the oil and put it onto a plate for you. Afterwards, you can order different sauces to try it with. They recommended the Andalouse sauce, so we decided to get that one. I have to say that this was probably the best fries that I had during my trip in Belgium (esp after trying it at like 8 different places), so I think that it was worth the wait. These were the most crispy and had the most satisfying crunch overall so far. Even though the line might be long, if you want to try out what Belgium is known for then I think it's worth the wait.

Sweet curry, buffalo, barbecue... not ketchup and mayo. The line was long -- like the whole city had the same craving at the same time. Total Spider-Man meme moment... everybody pointing like, "Oh, you're me? You're me?" The fries were fresh -- not sitting there waiting on somebody. They cook them to order. You literally see the raw fries, then the cooked fries, and it's like an assembly line. One guy takes your sauce order, the other guy repeats it back like telephone, and you watch it get passed down and checked. You get hype listing sauces and then they hit you with, "Only three" before you get too crazy. Service is quick and friendly. They don't ask a million questions because it's simple -- we sell fries and sauces. What do you want? Ambience: tiny walk-up, as small as a food spot can get, but it works. No yelling, no "my order is wrong," none of that. There are tables out front so you can sit, eat, and people-watch on a nice night (or day). Amazing experience. Would absolutely recommend.

The waiter was super nice and he knew the menu well. The menu was simple enough for me to think that everything is made fresh everyday! Everything we ordered was delicious, although, i must say that ordering entrées and the menu is too heavy all were delicious but we got full quickly. It's like we had food good for 3 people with the big plate of the menu. I recommended this place to my friends and of course everyone else. Ethiopian food is awesome!

Knowing that there isn't a huge community in Brussels, I didn't have particularly high expectations for Kokob. The restaurant was adorable, very clean and tastefully decorated. Service was very good and fast. Most importantly, the food was delicious. We got the combo that had two meat dishes and three veggies, and everything was amazing. The drink selection was good, too. They had a wide selection of regular wine, Ethiopian honey wine, beer, coffee, and tea. Overall, it was a great experience. I have two major complaints that prevent me from giving this place five stars. First off, the combo meals are absurdly expensive. They have combos for minimum two people, charging EUR 20 PER PERSON for a minimum of two people. It was also way too much food, easily enough to feed four people, but if you had four people eating the same combo, you would be paying 80 euros! And yet, I know that the combo option is clearly the best way to enjoy this type of cuisine. To better strategize for next time, I would go with a group of 4-8 people and order menu items individually to share, in order to maximize our value. Secondly, they will not let you take the enjera (bread) home. We had a ton of leftovers that I was eager to take home. First they said that I just couldn't take home anything on the enjera that we'd been eating off of. They said I could take home everything else, including extra enjera, but that the enjera had to be eaten by noon the next day. Then the server consulted with the kitchen and declared that I could not take home any enjera at all. I've taken enjera home many times from restaurants in the U.S. without problems, and Google tells me it will probably stay good in the fridge for 5-7 days. Being denied my leftover enjera really was the worst part of my day. That having been said, all the food was excellent, and I will definitely be back, but I'll probably bring my own container from home to sneak enjera into my purse.
