Very friendly place that could almost touch on being over friendly. It all depends on whether…read moreyou're ok with the older waiter giving you an awkward hug because you ordered Lebanese beer. It was a warm day, I'd called it hot. So the doors were wide open and the patio was already full of alfresco diners. Thankfully we had reserved but I've been told that this is one of the few places were you can usually walk in. The food was plentiful and of the same quality of the Lebanon House over on the other side of the park. However the atmosphere here is friendlier & the fact that there are also other diners here... it makes you feel less hesitant about entering. I feel this is going to be our new go to place for Lebanese food. After a disappointment & fears of being the only diners. Plus the fact that the bill come up cheaper than the Lebanon house. Yep we're new fans.

Much to his delight, we found out that the restaurant is halal, so my uncle was able to eat anything/everything off the menu. Even before we ordered, they started us off with some ok bread and really nicely seasoned tomatoes. For appetizers, we had the rice-stuffed grape leaves and the baba ganoush. The grape leaves were just OK, but I really enjoyed the baba ganoush. It was kind of like a salad with chunks of eggplant, tomato, pomegranate, and a tangy dressing, rather than the hummus-like puree I'm used to. For our main course, we got the mixed kebab and a whole grilled fish. I loved the chicken kebab, but the lamb and ground beef were a little tough and chewy. The fish was out of this world. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and it was crispy on the outside and moist and flaky on the inside. Overall, I was very impressed with the seasoning on everything. Even the items I didn't love were still OK, not awful. Service was excellent and reasonably fast. I will definitely be back, and it's fancy enough that I would bring visitors here when they get tired of fries and carbonnade.

They do an excellent job in presentation, quality of dishes with a good blend of French flair to it. Food: The Chicken pastilla- That is an appetizer of chicken stuffed in a pastry like coating. Delicious way to start the meal. Steak- Hearty piece of ribeye that came with scrumptious French fries. Grilled Chicken- This a good option if you want a lighter option. Came with a fresh side salad. Also we had a side pasta that came with mushroom cream sauce. It was a nice extra touch to our meal. Everything was amazing and wish I could visit again soon to eat this food. The restaurant is nicely decorated with nice seating. The service is professional and provide recommendations on the menu if needed. Side Note-halal menu. ~

Friterie Tabora - Fries with Dallas sauce and fries with Andalouse sauce.

Since I was in Belgium (which is the country that invented french fries if you weren't aware), I…read moreknew that I needed to check out some good friteries around the city. There were some recommendations online for Fritteria Tabora, and since it wasn't too far from us we decided to check it out. It's a small shop that is to-go, and there was a long line that we waited out of for around half an hour. When you order, they'll essentially scoop the fries out of the oil and put it onto a plate for you. Afterwards, you can order different sauces to try it with. They recommended the Andalouse sauce, so we decided to get that one. I have to say that this was probably the best fries that I had during my trip in Belgium (esp after trying it at like 8 different places), so I think that it was worth the wait. These were the most crispy and had the most satisfying crunch overall so far. Even though the line might be long, if you want to try out what Belgium is known for then I think it's worth the wait.

Sweet curry, buffalo, barbecue... not ketchup and mayo. The line was long -- like the whole city had the same craving at the same time. Total Spider-Man meme moment... everybody pointing like, "Oh, you're me? You're me?" The fries were fresh -- not sitting there waiting on somebody. They cook them to order. You literally see the raw fries, then the cooked fries, and it's like an assembly line. One guy takes your sauce order, the other guy repeats it back like telephone, and you watch it get passed down and checked. You get hype listing sauces and then they hit you with, "Only three" before you get too crazy. Service is quick and friendly. They don't ask a million questions because it's simple -- we sell fries and sauces. What do you want? Ambience: tiny walk-up, as small as a food spot can get, but it works. No yelling, no "my order is wrong," none of that. There are tables out front so you can sit, eat, and people-watch on a nice night (or day). Amazing experience. Would absolutely recommend.
