This place was always the worst local Walmart but these new renovations they're doing are making a…read morebad location even worse. They turned half the parking lot into Pickup area only parking and EV charging stations which are hardly ever filled. They've closed the garden entrance pushing even more crowds to the already crowded front end. Dirty dusty shelves have been pushed around everywhere with items halfway down the aisles where they should be, usually damaged. It's downright dangerous some of the things that are laying around that they have clearance tags on, broken glass light bulbs and mirrors shattered near what used to be the Auto center. Everyone knows Walmart attracts some real interesting characters but I've never felt unsafe shopping here until recently. This place has turned into some sort of hunting ground for sketchy unsavory types coming from the airport. Groups 6-10 people deep that never shop or browse (or even pretend to) will loiter around blocking aisles and pretend not to understand you if you say excuse me. They circle around the same aisle when someone is alone in one and start following and openly gesture at strangers' purses and to each other. Between them and the families also 6-10 people deep that scream and holler at each other while their kids run rampant around the store, it's not surprising the People of Walmart site exists. If Walmart is trying to get rid of brick and mortar locations for Pickup only, this is the location they should close first.

If you don't know what Aldi is about, its a no frills discount retailer, that does carry high quality items from food, to stuff for around the house. Theres no music, no bags, no cart retrieval, and minimal staff.. all ways that they keep prices so low despite the products being great! During these ever changing times, they had a cart cleaner outside and the normal requirement of a quarter for a cart was waived. Inside aisles were clearly marked for one way and 6ft social distance. I thought KY had a rule in place for 1 member per household. Sadly while the employees were themselves being safe, they were not enforcing safety throughout the store. There were multiple families of 6 with no masks touching their faces then touching nearly ever item in the specialty aisle (straight up thought I was going to vomit). No one was following the clearly marked one way direction aisles. The store stock was ok, but the specialty aisle was fairly bare. Compared to many other locations I have been to, the flow and organization here was also super odd. I think ill just stick to my home store, which is clean and safe.

Advent Calendar: I have to confess that I've had an Advent calendar every Christmas for most of my…read morelife and intend to keep getting one for every Christmas season to come. An Advent calendar is essentially a countdown to Christmas beginning on December 1st and lasting until December 24th. There are 24 numbered "doors" or "windows" to open. Behind each one is a piece of chocolate (usually Christmas themed). Popping the chocolate into my mouth each year instantly brings me back to the best Christmases of my childhood. Typically, I opt for a more Christmas themed image, but being the Star Wars fan that I am, I was gifted with a Grogu stylized one from The Mandalorian. This particular calendar is distributed in the U.S. by Galerie Candy, and I believe the chocolate is made by Jean-Talon Chocolate in Canada. My only minor complaint is it seems like a wasted opportunity to not make the chocolates into various shapes from the Star Wars universe (ships, characters, weapons), they are instead the same shapes found in other Jean-Talon Chocolate Advent calendars.
