I can't be more disappointed in the lack of care from Hebron Center Dentistry. Dr Javed created a serious issue with my crown, ignored my concerns about infection, and left me in excruciating pain. I met privately with Dr Nicholes to discuss my experience, and she disappointed me further. I am writing my full experience for complete disclosure. Dr Javed recommended that I replace an old crown that was having no issues. She prepared the tooth, put on a temporary, and scheduled the permanent for a month later. Do the research, this exceeds the recommended time for a temporary. Pain set in a week before my appointment. (Everything I have read states that the crown may have been ill fitted, or damaged) I let the office know the morning before my appointment, that the pain was excruciating. The receptionist said that the Dr. would get back to me. Since I didn't hear from her, I went to my appointment the next day, confident that the permanent crown would solve the problem. After a cursory look, she said that she would need to refer me to have a root canal. This was a Friday afternoon, so I'm concerned about the continuing pain over the weekend. She suggested that she could take off the temporary, and secure the prepared crown with temporary cement and that might mitigate the pain a little. She needed her assistant to remove the crown, as the Dr. was unsuccessful at doing it herself. The odor that permeated the room as the temporary was removed was pungent. I questioned Dr Javed about the smell and mentioned my concern about bacteria. Her response was that it was just the normal smell of temporary cement. I have been researching this issue and absolutely everything points to bacteria and infection. I left the office literally weeping in pain at 2:30 that day. At 3:43 I called the office to question whether I should be put on an antibiotic. Office was closed, but the machine said to push 2 for an emergency, which I did. At 6 pm the crown popped off, so I called again, pushed 2 and waited. Every 2 hours overnight, I piggy-backed ibuprofen and Tylenol, which only dulled my pain. Dr. Nichole's (the owner) later commented that tooth pain is "special". And yet, no return phone call. Saturday morning I started searching for emergency dental care, which I received at Columbia dental. First, the root canal, followed by 14 days on antibiotics to treat the stubborn infection that had been described as "normal cement odor" In total, I suffered 6 days of excruciating pain, followed by 14 days of persistent ache and swelling. I would not be writing this review had I not met with the owner, Dr Nicholes, yesterday. She doubled down on the cement odor which dumbfounded me-there was, in fact, a raging infection that was ignored, treatment was delayed , and pain escalated. She informed me that they do not have emergency care outside of office hours. At the time, it was stated on their website and confirmed when I called on the phone and told to press "2" for emergencies. Her comment was that she was out of the country. When Dr Bussiere opened this office years ago, I recommended all my friends and family. He was so knowledgeable, open, and even administered Novocain without pain. The office called me after procedures to make sure I was feeling ok. It with a heavy heart that I must revoke that recommendation. Hebron center just doesn't care the way it used to. read more

I have been to Hebron Center Dentistry twice. My initial appointment and cleaning was nice, I was told I needed a crown. My second appointment was the preparation for the crown end of November. That afternoon a three month ordeal of daily pain, three infections and courses of antibiotics, several visits where I was referred to two additional dentists (one to attempt a root canal, and the second to finally pull my tooth last month). During this entire time Dr. Nicholes showed no empathy whatsoever, just handed me referrals, pretty much pushing the problems onto someone else. My recent email to the office was unanswered. So yeah, I don't recommend this dentist to anyone. read more

I have a high dentist anxiety. I've been putting off going for a filling & wisdom tooth extraction referral for quite some time now. I also have a pretty bad case of TMJ, so it makes cleanings quite uncomfortable and painful. Taylor was my hygienist and she IMMEDIATELY put me at ease, checked in often during the cleaning to see how my jaw was doing and if I needed a break, and just all around so sweet. I will always request her!! Dr. Nicholes was just as amazing. She was kind, friendly, and genuinely cares about her patients and their health as well as planning for budget & procedures. Up until i was referred to Hebron Dentistry, sitting in the "chair" was something I never wanted to do. Knowing I had to have any type of dental work done would cause me days of stress that I no longer experience thanks to Dr. Nicholes. During my very first visit, Dr Nicholes was very patient and understanding of my fear of sitting in the dentist chair. She didn't rush at all and explained everything she was doing before she did it. Ultimately, having this type of dentist was all I needed to overcome my fear of dentists. I would highly recommend this office to anyone, but specifically, to those who go through what I USED TO go through. This reason alone is enough for me to continue going to this office, but when you add the professionalism and friendliness of this staff, you have a home run!! Alison Nicholes, the "DR." and owner, was very impatient, rude, and unprofessional to me on multiple occasions. I just read a very negative review about this office and was amazed at the anger it generated. (I was actually looking for other info when I ran across the reviews and curiosity got the best of me). I have had only great co-operation, friendly discussions, helpful personnel and very good communications with everyone in this office. If you don't have a little understanding of the difficulty that office persons have in trying to do their jobs to help their clients and customers in scheduling and go elsewhere, than you will be missing a wonderful dentist and it will be your loss! read more

I can say enough kind words about Dr. Nichols. She is extremely empathetic, and excellent at explaining various options for procedures (in concise, yet fully comprehensive "layman language".) Today, a very last-minute change came about, whereby the scheduled procedure was postposponed, while a new consideration was discussed that involves additional work and insurance review. Dr. Nichols, never once was concerned with anything else but that I was completely comfortable with the dialog exchange, and the proposed go-forward path(s). Frankly, I could not have asked for anything more. I am extremely satisfied with Dr. Nichols and the entire staff at Hebron Center Dentistry. I have had many dentists in my life. Many of them in their dealings with me make it clear that they are eager to make a profit from me, in the way they push certain treatments or services. Dentists, like optometrists, can walk an uncomfortable line between medical care and sales. Hebron Center Dentistry is clearly on the medical care side. Though they have and offer all the services of other dentists (whitening, veneers, straightening, etc.) they do not push these options. They cleaned my teeth, told me of some potential problem areas, suggested a range of options to deal with them, and then left it to me to decide when and how I wanted to proceed. I also found them friendly, intelligent, and easy of deal with. The office is comfortable, has massaging chairs and flat screen televisions, and making appointments isn't too difficult. read more

I have been going to Hebron Center Dentistry for almost three-years and I couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Nicholes. When I was younger, I had several terrible experiences with dentists. This caused me to develop an intense dental phobia. My fear was so bad that I would have panic attacks prior to going to a scheduled dentist appointment, and I would end up canceling my appointment. Eventually I just stopped rescheduling the appointments, and I went over 9 years without going to the dentist. I knew my teeth were getting really bad, and I had numerous cavities, one was so bad that it needed a root canal. In addition to having so many cavities and other dental issues, I also had a lot of cosmetic issues. I really disliked how my teeth looked and rarely showed my teeth when I smiled. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Nicholes after receiving a recommendation from a friend who was aware of my severe dental phobia. When I called to schedule the appointment, I spoke with Colleen at the front desk. She was incredibly friendly and helpful and explained that I would need to start with a dental cleaning. I made her aware of my situation and she assured me that Dr. Nicholes was fantastic and then she recommended that I see Dorothy for my cleaning. When I arrived for my first appointment, I was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere. The furnishings reminded me more of a spa rather than a dentists' office which immediately eased some of my anxiety. Each treatment room is furnished with its own flat screen television and they are all outfitted with a very nice massage chair, these distractions also help alleviate some of my fears. Dorothy is wonderful. She is sweet and has a bubbly personality. We chatted while she did my cleaning and I felt like I was hanging out with an old friend, rather than getting the dental cleaning that I feared for so long. After my cleaning, I met with Dr. Nicholes. Due to the fact that it had been almost a decade since my last teeth cleaning, I understandably had a lot of issues. Dr. Nicholes sat with me to go through the list of issues that Dorothy had discovered during my cleaning. She assured me that we would go at a pace that I was comfortable with and that she would slowly take care of each issue. She always explained everything that she was going to do and why it needed to be done. This transparency really did wonders to alleviate my anxiety because I knew exactly what was happening and I was confident that the procedure was going to be done correctly the first time and that it was going to look great. Over the next year, Dr. Nicholes fixed each and every one of my cavities and slowly, over that time, I became more and more comfortable with going to the dentist. At this point, my dental phobia is practically non-existent and I am completely comfortable with visiting Dr. Nicholes. Once she had fixed each of my cavities, she asked if I would be interested in taking care of my cosmetic issues. I was surprised at how comfortable I was at the prospect of fixing these problems. Before working with Dr. Nicholes, I never would have entertained the thought of scheduling elective dental procedures. I simply wanted to take care of the things that needed to be done. I am so glad that I opted to fix my cosmetic issues. Dr. Nicholes is incredibly talented and she has done amazing things. My cavities are gone, and my teeth are so pretty. I smile a lot now, a big open smile that shows off my beautiful teeth. What is even more impressive than just fixing my teeth, she has eliminated my dental phobia and I never dreamed that I would be free of my dental anxiety. I actually look forward to going to my dental appointments. I feel like I am going to catch up with an old friend and we talk like we have been friends forever. It is amazing how much this helps to alleviate my anxiety. Dr. Nicholes is the perfect combination of having a friendly personality and being incredibly talented. I highly recommend her to anyone, especially people who are afflicted with a severe dental phobia, as I once was. She really is amazing dentist and her work is absolutely phenomenal. read more

Worst dentist ever! Stay away! Got a lower partial done there and paid $850 out of pocket. It was confirmed today what I already knew the second they put it in my mouth. It is badly made does not fit and will not fit no matter how it is adjusted. It will not sit flat in my mouth and cannot be worn for more then 10 minutes without causing pain. The mold moved when he took it. When I first started going there there was not many dentists who took medicaid. Now there are 100's of talented dentists who will take medicaid. Do you your homework before choosing a dentist, and choose someone else. read more

I have been to my fair share of dentists and can quite honestly say this is one of the best! I have been going for not even a year, but have needed several appointments all of which have been wonderful. Normally I would feel a terrible "ugghh" feeling about going to the dentist and now a mild "eh". The dentist herself is so nice, does a great job and the whole atmospere is relaxing and very comfortable feeling. Also there is a discount without insurance which has been very much appreciated. I can`t speak highly enough to what a pleasurable experience I have had at this dentist and I am so happy I have found Hebron Center Dentristy. I higly recommend. read more

After speaking with a welcoming and professional receptionist i was transferred to their office! After my first visit i felt so comforted to know i made the right descison. I've been coming here for over a year and love it. I am a part time employee in my graduate masters program so unfortunately I do not have dental insurance. This office is incredibly accommodating financially for people in my position. They have made a lot of my dental work affordable and have been understanding of my current financial position. I was referred by my local dentist saying that HCD took my dental plan which I thought was great. Went in for my look and chat told Dr. B. I wanted no implants or root canal I wanted tooth extracted. After waiting almost two months for an appointment went in and Dr. B. started working on my tooth. I thought he was getting ready to pull the tooth liked we discussed on the first visit but instead he did a procedure with the laser, When he was done he told me I might need a root canal something I told him I did not want. He then told me he can not extract a tooth has to be an oral surgeon. Which surprised me as I thought that is what he was going to do as per our first chat, The charge for the procedure which he knew was not covered by my plan was $825.00, after 3 days the pain started again thanks for nothing Dr. B. Most dentists are as described in these reviews . . . what make or breaks an office is the management. How difficult is it for you to take time from work? If you are in a demanding profession where no one can replace you, your appointments outside the office need to be solid. My husband has such a position and called this office numerous times to try to schedule an appointment. (They will not offer to call you when your needed time opens up as many other offices do.) Last week he was able to find time to call again and asked for a 4:00pm appointment and was told no, they could not accommodate. The only appointment they offered was a 9 am, which meant taking time from work. He lined up the needed staff, jumped through the many hoops he needs to if he will be away for even an hour and was set for the appointment. This morning, just 30 minutes shy of his appointment time, the office manager called and told us the hygienist was out sick and his appointment was cancelled. Why they did not call when they arrived at the office (around 7:30) I do not know. I cannot believe that this office has absolutely no back up plan - he was simply cancelled with no attempt at all to squeeze him in with another hygienist (overbooking). Poor management has caused them to cancel my appointments before, but with my position it is not as difficult to get away. Here's the most incredulous part - the only offer she could come up with was an appointment for tomorrow . . . at 4pm - the time he originally wanted! This Hebron dentist is convenient for many and I was about to transition my two boys here, but it is not worth being undervalued as a patient - they truly do not care about your schedule and know full well they will continue to have clients despite the time management issues. Do not ever expect anyone at the office to go over and above for you. My husband and I tried to change from this office a few years back but they made such a mess of the record transfer we gave up! I had a filling filled too close to a neighboring tooth that is now causing problems, they stopped evening hours appointments and Dr. Bussiere, who we had joined the practice to see, is rarely in the office and never has open appointments. After 7 years enough is enough. Wish me luck with the records transfer this time! The five in my family will be seeing a dentist whose office respects our tight schedules and puts us - their client - above all. read more

Yeah, I don't think so. Having just moved into town and checking out their modern website/office, I chose this office office over others in town for all of my family's dental needs (including my husband and 3 yo son). This office might look nice and the staff does a decent job cleaning teeth, but Mr. Bussier is definitely out to make a profit (he has to keep his kids enrolled in those costly private schools and universities, don't forget). First thing on my radar is how nervous he looked when dealing with my young son. He clearly has no pediatric experience, so I was alarmed that they would offer "family" services at all. Then, on separate occasions months apart, he recommends and definitely pushes for a procedure called "deep pocket cleaning". As I am at the receptionist desk making the highly recommended appointment for a costly and not covered by my insurance "deep pocket cleaning", I hear another patient asking if his second round of deep pocket cleaning will be as painful as the first. I went home and immediately googled information about the procedure. It is a painful and long procedure and many have questioned it's use and effectiveness. Basically it is not covered by most insurances because it is not deemed medically necessary, a huge red flag. I was disappointed that this procedure was recommended for me because not only do I have few dental issues and am quite young, but I also explained to Mr. Bussier that the cost of the procedure was way out of my league and would be difficult for my family to pay. His response? No problem, make several appointments to spread out the cost over time. After reading up on the procedure and how many there dental customers from all over the county claimed it was extremely painful and did nothing to improve to their dental health, I immediately called back and cancelled the four dates I had set up for this costly procedure. So of course when my husband came home all upset that he too was told he needed to spend over a thousand dollars on "deep pocket cleansing", I was disappointed to learn that my initial instincts over Mr. Bussier's intentions as a doctor were not about my medical needs or my family's medical needs, but about the need to line his pocket. The very last appointment I made with him, he told me I would need to have a root canal, a tooth extracted, and a bridge constructed (thousand of dollars and much pain!!!). I immediately left this office, went across the street to another dentist that a friend recommended and he confirmed my suspicions...not only is the deep pocket cleansing not needed, but I did not need ANY of the costly dental work that I was told I absolutely needed!!! No root canal! No tooth extraction! No bridge!!! WTF?!! If I could give this dentist zero stars, I would, but at least I hope this review helps others to steer clear of this shady practice. read more
