Every interaction has been positive. The clinical staff, including all the Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs), deliver consistently excellent care. Dr. Fischbeck, in my experience, is magical; he has a remarkable ability to correctly and swiftly diagnose significant medical issues, and his judgment regarding necessary specialist referrals is always spot-on and deeply appreciated. Beyond the medical expertise, the operations run flawlessly. The office staff is super nice and helpful on the phone and in person. I have never had an issue getting a same-day appointment when urgency called for it, and the added convenience of an on-site blood lab is incredibly helpful. They are caring, they listen to their patients, and then gives you the facts of whatever it is that you are experiencing and the treatment and follow up. I lived in Mesa when I started going to Caring for Families, then moved to Laveen where I have been since 2013, and still go. My old PCP retired, and I had vital prescriptions about to expire. Kachina Family Medicine called, and THEY CANCELLED 2 DAYS BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT! They said, "Fischbeck won't accept any 'new' Medicare patients." They admitted that some of his current patients are on Medicare. They said "We made your appointment by mistake." WAIT, WHAT?!?! I ended up running out of one of my important medications because of their seemingly unyielding Medicare discrimination, and apparent complete lack of any caring about what they were doing to me. I pleaded with them about my need to see Fischbeck, even if only to renew my prescriptions, but they seemed to completely lack any care, empathy, compassion, or understanding. Ironically, those are the very qualities that I want to see in my doctor! ADDENDUM 1/4/2026: Jaron Fischbeck called me this morning. He seemed very intense, defensive, and then argumentative. I did not use any profanity or vulgarity, but shortly thereafter he hung up on me. Frankly, I don't even know why he called. I have never known any medical "professional" to appear so selfish, rude, and frankly childish toward me.

Is that not what a physical is for is to check on current health, discuss conditions that may or may not be important and devise a plan to address? At least that is what I thought it was for. But it I want to discuss the chest pain i am having i need to schedule a separate appointment. Sorry but billing and extra appoints to make money is not how I want to be treated.

The rest of the staff has always been courteous and helpful. Every year when Medicare tries to get me to switch, I stay with AIA. Very good place for medical care. They've seen me on short notice a couple times and have a very good scheduling system. I've never experienced "attitude" from any of the employees and as an adult, I appreciate the mutual respect and expectations for common courtesy on both sides. It isn't a widget factory. Sometimes things happen to cause a bit of delay. The care I receive there consistently is first rate! Very thankful for the whole team there.

For this special service "I can offer you a full 30-45 min" rather than a "13-minute visit" that "enables me to better understand your health condition" and "time to discuss the results of your examination and tests, and identify areas for improvement". Isn't this the service you would normally expect from your doctor?
