It was to go, so I just went up to the counter and then came back in about 10 minutes. The quality and flavor haven't been compromised over the years at all! Each time I come back home, there seems to be another new boudin spot to try, with fancy fillings and a mascot/logo similar to Charlie Ts, but no matter how many I try, Charlie Ts always takes the number one spot! Their formula is just SPOT ON! The service is always great, although I do miss seeing Mr. Charlie in the store. There's nothing like seeing the man who fixed your boudin as a kid still doing the thing he loves! I'm happy for his retirement, but he is forever a part of my childhood! The store is very clean every time I visit, and there's ample parking out front. You will get more options the earlier you go. Trust me, everybody knows Charlie's is the best, so you don't want to wait until the afternoon when there are only a couple boudin balls left. Go early. I personally prefer their classic links and the regular pork boudin balls.
