My husband and I have been using this pharmacy for almost 4 years now..... and why we kept going…read moreback is beyond me. We have always tried to support our local community, no matter where we've lived. But this guy has made it clear to both of us, that this is NOT a business we want to support. The staff has on occasion been rude to my husband and he's seen them be rude to other customers. So that tells us, it starts at the top. On more than one occasion the pharmacist Brian has been condescending and beyond rude to me. My doctor prescribed something to me one time to help me sleep and it overlapped another prescription that I already had. When he was talking to me about it, he made me feel like I was a drug attic, and that I was abusing it. One time I went in around 545pm (they close at 6). I was trying to use a discount card given to me by my doctor. Mind you,I had never used one before.... the entire staff (mainly Brian) clearly didn't want to help me because they were ready to go home. At one point when I was looking down at my phone, to activate the card Brian said something and I tried to answer and he rudely said ," I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to her!" To get me out of there he offered to spot me one pill until I could get the card figured out, because obviously my doctor wasn't clear in telling me how to use the card. I told him to forget it and that I would pay full price. I got my bag and left. Got home and the prescription in question wasn't even in the bag. There was a note on the front of the bag in bright red letters that said the prescription in question was in another basket and it was checked that he (Brian) was supposed to counsel with me because it was a new prescription. I was so pissed. Went the next morning to get it and got zero apologies. Maybe if they hadn't of been in such a hurry, they wouldn't have forgotten it in the fThese people do not deserve my business. I've worked at HEB for 20 years and if one of our partners ever treated a customer like this they would've been reprimanded. I know it probably won't make a difference, but I will NEVER be going back again. We've spent a lot of money here. I've had 2 hip replacements and a knee replacement and we got all of my medications here. So much for supporting "the local guy". Our business will definitely be going elsewhere. Save your money, unless you want to pay for being treated like crap!!!!

I have needed these same medications for 20 years and have experienced many pharmacies over the years. I can say with much gratitude they have been 100% accurate with on time medications. My Perscription is a special compound that is more than just dumping 90 pills into a smaller bottle from a larger one. In addition the people are what really make this Store/Pharmacy over the top!! I had to go for a…read morespecialty compounded prescription, one they actually mix together there custom for you, the kind you can't get at normal pharmacies. But I had also been trying for literally WEEKS to get another prescription filled at the big chains (they all told me they didn't have it in stock and they could try to order it but corporate could say no and even if they said yes it would be multiple weeks). It was causing me so much stress, and I had low hope after battling this issue for weeks, but I decided last minute to ask Gibson's if they could fill it, and they filled in ten minutes flat. TEN. MINUTES. FLAT, y'all. I won't lie, the place looks a bit shady and it's run down. And they have silly homeopathy snake oil too, and their hours are limited (they close at 6pm). But that's all inconsequential. They greet you warmly, they were super friendly, they were very fast, AND the pharmacist actually counseled me!! You know like how the receipt on your prescriptions from the big chains say "new prescription- counsel patient" but they never, ever, ever do? Plus, they have a nice little selection of natural essential oils and soaps and shampoos, etc. And their prices for over the counter stuff like cold medicines are super low! They meet or beat supermarket/big chain prices! I've only been here once, but I'm already loyal. Every medicine I need is coming from Gibson's until I move away!!
