H‑E‑B is a good store, but today, on a Sunday, there were so many empty places on the shelves. There was no cilantro in produce, which is what I needed to make fresh salsa. It was like most employees didn't show up to do stocking or management did have enough employees working or the day was crazy busy for everyone. Of all the grocery stores in the area, HEB is one of the best. The produce here is always fresh and way better than what's found at the Walmart down the street. Meats are usually cheaper, and of course they have the annual Hatch Chili event every summer. My wife is always running through the plant area, they often have some really nice plants, a few somewhat hard to find, for fairly cheap. Lunch meats and cheeses, they carry Boarshead which is really good stuff! Really great place to shop, always clean, some good prices. Only negative is the fish area, sometimes it's not like it should be. We've had a few times having the salmon patties and they weren't good when we got them home and a few times made us ill. Overall, one of our favorites stores to frequent. read more

I love this HEB so much, I've been coming here for 4 years, ever since I moved from Burleson. I am going out of my way today to leave a good review because they have gone out of their way for me far more times than I can count. Today it was raining, not even hard, and there was an employee outside with umbrellas, shouting to see if anyone needed one. I very much did, nobody has ever done anything like that at a grocery store for me before. I can't say enough how much I appreciate that there is always a security guard on site, I feel so much safer in the parking lot, and even around the store now as a young woman, especially when I'm by myself. The prices on meats, fruits and vegetables and the quality is so wonderful. They have so many die free products and gluten free options, really, they have so many options for anyone with food allergies. It makes my life so much easier, and I appreciate that they keep them at a genuinely low price compared to competitors selling the same items. One time, I noticed a HUGE amount of mold hiding in a very very hidden spot, but I also mentioned to them that I have an extreme allergy to mold, and they were so nice about it, most people dismiss me or write it off.. I came back a few days and it was absolutely spotless where I had seen it, and overall, they really really do a good job managing the produce section and keeping it free of mold, better than any other grocery store I know of. I do wish that there was a dedicated gluten free isle, all grocery stores tend to put the gluten free options scattered around the store next to all the items they are an alternative to, one dedicated isle for all of it would make my price and ingredient comparisons much much easier! I've also recently forgotten a whole week worth of bacon, and had thrown away my receipt before I realized the next morning. I called them and apologized and asked if there was any way they could replace it - come to find out they had written all of the details down on an inventory list and I was able to go pick it up with no problems at all! They have been very respectful and kind in just about every interaction I've ever had. I have no complaints about staff at all from the entire time I've been going here. The sushi bar is just as good as the one in Burleson, and the store is smaller, it has much more of a small town feeling, it is much less overstimulating. I appreciate that this store is so clean. This store is ran by absolute morons, and that's the nicest way I could put it. Not only do they prohibit employees from calling out due to dangerous conditions (because of "lack of staff"), they also consistently forget about breaks and do not care about the employee themselves, rather only the cooperate quotas. To an extent, I understand. However, putting your employees safety on the line because they refuse to close is unacceptable. Also, I've been in there before, and was not impressed by seeing all the managers just standing around gossiping while the poor employees are struggling to keep lines down and shelves stocked. If you use their Curbside Service, get out and check your order BEFORE you leave. For about the past 3 times I've got home and realized they forgot multiple items I paid for. It's even more frustrating that I have a 9 month old that I have to re-load into the car to go back to retrieve the items they left off. Sooo unless you're bored and have nothing to do with your time, go in and get your groceries yourself or use Kroger Curbside Pickup. read more

This is a pretty sad Heb location. Don't recommend it. The selection they carry is limited, it's always super crowded, they are usually out of things, and it just feels overwhelming. Not my favorite. On a side note, I did try to apply to this location for a job. Lined up an interview and went in and did my best. During the interview, it felt like the manager was just skimming through the questions, but already had his mind on hiring someone else. He was not very present, and did not seem to care about considering me. That was lame. I would just go shop for groceries at walmart, or maybe Albertsons. Great service, here! I do a lot of curbside pickup and they are always friendly, courteous and smiling when they deliver my groceries. Also, I order avocados a lot and they do an excellent job of selecting ones that are ripe, but not overripe. read more

Really nice store with nice employees but there are some flaws. The lines get really long because they only open a few lanes at a time, and there's nowhere for the line to go so people are just crowding the entire front of the store and you can barely walk through. Also, the produce section is a little small and doesn't have things like Brussels sprouts?? Lastly, this location is very expensive. I drive all the way up to the H‑E‑B Plus! in Burleson because it saves me way more money than it costs in gas. Annoying though because this one is so close to home, it's just way too expensive. read more

I was at First impressed with HEB once it had been remodeled. Usually there is always products stocked on shelves. Lately I'm finding it harder to leave with everything I had intended to find there. Biggest gripe is in the last shopping trip there. As I was approaching the check out an employee rather aggressively insisted I check out on the self serve lane. I hate having to use self serve. I'm paying the high prices there I at least feel I should be assisted in making the purchase. I know there are others who feel this same way. It's becoming to where I'd rather not have to go to a store that expects me to work for them in order to make a purchase. If this is going to be the demand at HEB, I can definitely find another store to shop from. I suggest that if HEB expects customers to check themselves out then there should be an automatic discount applied to the total bill of $10. At least a $10 incentive to help customers want to get in a self serve lane. HEB I am hoping that whoever reads these reviews that customers take time to write will address the issues that are written about. read more

This store is awesome..I have never been in a grocery store like this..they have a fresh sushi bar,an area where they are cooking something beef,this day it was primerib, another area with fresh packaged dinners like salmon, sirloin ,porkchops ,shrimp, you take home reheat and they taste just like you spent a long time cooking them nothing like frozen tv dinners..The bakery is overwhelming and also down the aisle in front of the bakery are tables and tables full of fresh baked goods..they have the freshest fish in that department ,its visually beautiful..they sell clothes, dishes , makeup etc at one end of the store and have a huge floral dept.. oh and the produce dept has the best looking fruits and vegetables..I love this store, the prices are good the staff is so helpful and friendly..I wish they had these grocery stores where I live,its the only store you need very different than our superstores at home.. read more

HEB is a great place to shop. The store has great employees that are always willing to help. All of there Fresh departments (deli, bakery, meats, seafood, and produce) always have the freshest products. We used to complain about the HEB in Granbury because of the lack of baggers, but that's all we could really complain about there. This HEB is horrible, for an HEB. Bad layout lack of product and poor service. The checker, a Raven S, had a scowl on her face when she asked "how are you?" in an obviously unhappy voice and actually complained about us asking for $10 in $1's snarling "you took all of them" (the $1's), not a thank you and have a nice day. The layout is kinda odd with the frozen food on the opposite end of the store from the rest of the food, and I guess when one gets used to product availability at most of the other stores, one might find the lack there of a bit difficult to understand when one considers how much larger Cleburne is than Granbury. It seems like they just put a new front on an old store, kinda like the whole lipstick on a pig thing. If you want a better experience, drive a little north and visit the Burleson or Granbury store. Either is a much more delightful experience. read more
