I have been here a few times and so far I really like this place. After a long day on my feet, running around and taking care of patients, I come here and finally take care of ME. I love that they are open late and one can easily get an appointment at 7:30 or even 8pm for a massage or a pedicure. The spa is spacious and clean with amenities like steam rooms or infrared sauna. Their front desk is amiable and seem to know almost everyone by name! (which is a rare occurrence these days). I got a few different massage therapists and, honestly, all of them were very good! You just have to tell them what you are after and they'll adjust the pressure, the area of focus or even the music or bed heat level. As with any other place - communication is the key! I've been coming to Heavenly Massage Morton Grove for over 10 years. My go to therapist if Lijana. She kind, exceptionally talented, caring and listens. I do feel its important for anyone going to a new therapist to first communicate to the front desk on the type of massage you require. For example, strong massage on the shoulders. The front desk personnel can then align you with the right person based on your requirements. Then, convey your requirements with the therapist. If you're in pain, let them know where. If something is uncomfortable, let them know. That being said, the women at the front desk are the best. Very knowledgeable, caring and professional. We came here to get a 90 min couples massage. Each person goes into a separate room with the massage therapist. I didn't get the usual consultation where they asked me what areas to target more. But nonetheless, I enjoyed it. I had Rosa and she applied great pressure and made sure I was comfortable with the process. My partner had Elizabeth & she was more than wonderful. My only issue was we had a 4pm appointment and I got taken in by my a tech at 4:05 leaving my partner waiting. We were going to do our steam shower together but we couldn't because my tech was done and my partner had another 10min to go...that sucked. This is a mixed review - I've been here twice and the first time was a lovely experience for a facial and massage. Massage was great and worked out much of my tension and the facial was relaxing but also purifying. I enjoyed it so much that I booked another one, but that one was such a mixed experience. The facial was really great and enjoyable. But the massage was something else. I typically will fall asleep during a massage - usually an indicator of how relaxed I am. However, this time, I dozed off but then awoke to find my massage therapist on her phone with one hand and the other one was rubbing my leg half-heartedly. I decided to stay silent to see what she would do. A couple minutes later, she got up and left the room for several minutes. When she returned, I was sitting up and checking the time (I wasn't even halfway through my timeframe) and she told me to lie back down and she'd wrap up. It was a weird and disappointing experience. Hello, I have been coming here for years to do my pedicure with Vera she does great job but recently I just had an encounter with her telling me that I don't appreciate her business in front of everyone in the spa apparently she meant that I don't give her tips which is not true so if you schedule an appointment with her please don't this is not the way you treat a customer you should be more polite should not ask for tips doesn't matter how well you know them I'm very disappointed and I felt so little because I was told all that in front of customers and her colleagues. read more

Got a mini spa day. First started off with a regular mani pedi. The lady who did my nails -- Elena did a horrible job. She was rushing through the whole process and it wasn't until after my massage that I saw the final product. The nail polish wasn't applied evenly and ended up drying horribly. The massage after was by Zulay and it was fine, but cut short. It was more like 30-35min instead of 60min. I've come to this establishment twice before and each time I had a great experience except for this 3rd visit. I had Zara and there was a huge language barrier. Everytime I said something she said sorry I no understand. No biggie. But I booked a hour massage and all she did was my shoulder, upper arms and upper back. I was pretty disappointed. The Good: The reception area was pristine and airy, with lots of natural light. My massage therapist (Becky?) was very nice and welcoming. The room was clean, though quite small. The reception area had prices posted clearly on the counter. I was able to book a same day massage over the phone two hours in advance. The Not-So-Good: I like massages and I've had quite a few in the past. (OK, I get massages bimonthly, it is a necessary expense!) This was one of the strangest massages I've ever received. The pressure was light to medium, which can be enjoyable for relaxation, but the technique was bizarre and somewhat jarring. Additionally, the therapist seemed to focus considerably more on my right side, as there was more room for her to stand on that side of the table. I did not like the oil used, which seemed to be baby oil, rather than a high quality massage oil. The same oil was applied to my face, because I did add on a facial massage. The Weird: After the massage the therapist left, then returned with three small hot towels for me to clean up with, then in the lighted room cleaned my back with one. It was awkward and I'm still unsure whether she intended for me to remain lying on the table when she returned to the room. The massage therapist also repeatedly asked me if I would like to take a shower after the massage, but the shower was in a bathroom with a toilet. Needless to say, not a SPA vibe. Also, I was never offered a towel, so I'm not sure how I would've dried off. Likewise, I have long hair and saw no blow dryer. (I did use the washroom, and surveyed this 'steam shower,' it was a regular shower?) The COVID Stuff: My massage therapist was wearing a mask, however it was below her nose. No one else appeared to be wearing masks, including clients receiving nail services. I didn't see sanitizer anywhere, but it did look clean throughout the building. I'm vaccinated, but I would not send someone elderly to a facility without more safety protocols in place. In Summary: For massage, it was on par with an Asian foot spa, thought the facility in front is more aesthetically pleasing. In the rear of the building, the massage rooms are cramped. I wanted to like this place. I wanted to like my massage. I wanted to like my masseuse. I just couldn't. Imagine getting a Thai style massage for the first time in your life not knowing what it would be like. You allow yourself to be twisted into a confused pretzel wondering if any of it is normal because that's really all you can hope for. That was my experience. I booked a 60 minute deep tissue massage and I was on edge the entire time praying she wouldn't make it worse. I used to come here often when I was growing up in the area with my mom. While she still LOVES getting a pedicure from her normal gal, I've decided to not come back When I get a pedicure I expect majority of the time to be spent on the stuff prior to the nail painting (nail shaping, massaging, exfoliating, etc). Instead, the person who did my pedicure rushed through the process and then spent about twenty minutes on polishing. I had more pink polish on places that were not my nails than actually on them. When it came time for my manicure, she was yet again rushing. I understand that I was her last client (at 530 pm) but she made it seem like I was the one standing in her way from leaving for the night. She was also trying to engage with the other worker trying to leave for the night, who was busy cleaning up. It's been two days since my manicure/pedicure and most of my nails have chipped. The quality of the paint job is poor, with parts being opaque and others being uneven and see through. As much as I used to love this place, I do not think I will be coming back again. read more

Elizabeth is amazing!! I purchased a couple massage Groupon for Heavenly Massage and called to schedule an appointment. I called on a Tuesday and asked if it would be possible to schedule an an appointment for Friday. I was a little concerned that they wouldn't be able to take me because a lot of times Groupons have restrictions that limit the groupon to only Monday- Thursday but that wasn't the case here. I spoke to Monica and she scheduled my husband and I for 7:00 pm on Friday. Loved that they had longer working hours- really appreciated if you work and have small kids. My husband and I arrived a couple of minutes before our appointment- they do have parking in the back for customers and there's also parking in front of the business. We were graciously welcomed by Monica and staff. We filled out some forms and then were asked to have a seat while we wait for our massage therapists to arrive. I went to the bathroom while I waited- you have to go down a long hallway to the bathroom but the entire hallway is so calm and dimly lit. I told my husband that there was a 100% chance that I would fall asleep during the massage because the environment was just so relaxing. When I returned to the waiting area, Elizabeth was waiting for me. She asked me if I want some water and then escorted me to the back. Mind my ignorance but I thought couple massages meant you'd be in the same room with your significant other but I guess not. I didn't mind at all, the alone time was good too haha. Elizabeth stepped out while I changed and then came back and started the massage on my front area. We talked a little and then I just relaxed. Elizabeth calmed me down and caused me to fall into a state of zen by reminding me to practice my breathing and to picture blue beaches and crystal white sand. I was so relaxed and it was exactly what I needed. I just had a baby 7 weeks ago- my back was killing me from bending over to pick up the baby, to change it, to grab something from a lower cabinet and I had horrible tension and heaviness in my shoulders. Elizabeth took her time and started off slowly, relieving the hardness of my shoulders before really diving into the deep tissue massage. She said she could feel the tension and that I needed to remember to drink enough water and to stand up straight. I've gotten deep tissue massages before at other places where the masseuse was so gentle that I walked away more tense in my shoulder than when I walked in. That wasn't the case with Elizabeth- she started off slow and then went in deep and I really felt her easing up the tension in my shoulders. This woman truly knows what she is doing and I was so happy to be her client. I felt like a whole different person when I walked out of the room. Once your done with your massage, you're escorted to a shower that also has a steam shower in it. Since I'm still recovering from a c-section, I didn't utilize the steam showers as much as my husband but I just loved knowing that its part of the package. The facility is very clean- the rooms were very clean, organized and scented. The really target your senses in every aspect to truly give you the best massage experience. I highly recommend going to Elizabeth. My husband on the other hand had a different masseuse and he was really disappointed by his massage. My husband has been working out a lot so he has built up tensions in his shoulders and lower back. He was really looking forward to a deep tissue massage but was so disappointed by the massages offered by Rosa (at least that's what he can recall is her name). He's like "it felt like she was playing the piano on my back because of how gentle she was- there was no buildup to a deep tissue massage." I felt really bad that he didn't get Elizabeth because he really wanted a good massage. In addition, he felt like his masseuse rushed him out and kept decreasing the amount of massage time left. He felt like she couldn't wait to finish the massage whereas I felt the complete opposite with Elizabeth. Elizabeth took her time and truly showed me with her concern, gentle touch and sincerity that she wanted to make the massage experience memorable and worth my money. I really appreciate that. I wish there was a no star option. Do not buy a gift certificate here. I had been purchasing these for years. Anytime something came up, it was my go to. I recently purchased one for a new mom. Within the week it was misplaced. She called the location and was told there was nothing they could do. If it was $1000, maybe but not for $150? Their explanation was that it never expires & there are 20 locations? In all the years, I never questioned or noticed that they do not ask for a recipient name or that the services purchased are scribbled by hand. Turns out, they use these primitive methods to their advantage should something happen. The year is 2021. There should be a serial number that can be canceled out when something like this happens. Also, the trouble they go through should not matter on the size of the gift. How insulting. I will replace the gift but it will not be there. read more
