Wow so this is the second time I've been to Heaven Spa. First time was my birthday and this time went for Valentine's day. Scheduling the appointment was easy as 1,2,3. Called and setup the appointment left my card on file to hold the appointment. Upon arrival the receptionist was very nice and friendly which started the relaxation process. When it was time to get changed they give you slippers and robe and show you to the locker room/changing room. There's showers, lockers, a toilet basic stuff but the lockers were clean. From there you go to 'the lounge' area as you wait for your massause to come. They provide light refreshments (water, coffee, tea, cheese and crackers) as you wait which was nice! Now the massage!!!!! Heated tables, warmed oil and a masseuse from the heavens. I told Lauren what my ailments were and she promptly went to work. It was fantastic! She hit even knot and pressure point and applied the perfect amount of pressure. I left feeling refreshed and ready to conquer the day. I would 100% go back again! My only suggestion is that provide discounts to those that write reviews for Yelp as well read more

I recently visited Heaven Spa. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the manicure and pedicure quality I received by Zoya. Trimming, shaping and cuticle care was not done. Nail polish that have been used for hands have been tacky when i left. I had to take it off when I got home. While the staff was polite, I hope SPA owner/manager will take this feedback into consideration. The quality I left with should not be an option! I've been going to Heaven Spa for years because my mom gets me gift cards. I need to tell her to stop. They used to have such a nice space - hot tea, cheese, crackers, cucumber water. Now the facility has become run down and the owner makes excuses. The lockers are all broken, they blame the guests for stealing the keys. The massage services are all the same, no pressure, no attention to detail or target areas. I even paid more for a deep-tissue massage but got the same "light" pressure massage. The music cuts out every few minutes. The 45 minute pedicure only lasted 25 minutes then I sat in front of a broken nail dryer for 10 minutes before I left. It's sad because I used to love it here but the last few visits have been low quality. read more

Good thing considering, the extractions performed left bad scarring on my face. Esthetician also, disappeared twice. I felt short changed out of time spent on my face. This place is great! I did not want to leave there! My massage was excellent!! Rachel did a fantastic job. I got the stress relief for 15 mins and then the hot stones on my feet. I came here today with some friends and family for a relaxing spa bachelorette day. It was just what I needed after a year and a half of wedding planning and working 2 jobs. I had a mini massage, manicure and mini facial. The massage was amazing. I felt very relaxed afterwards. Next up was the manicure. The Mani/pedicure room is super tiny but the woman did a nice job. After that I got to sit in the lounge with my girls and have a few drinks. We had champagne, red and white wines offered to us. The lounge is very peaceful with the dim lighting and comfy chairs and couches. There is also a massage chair too. There is a table where the staff brings cheese and cracker plates. After drinks the facial was next. I was a bit nervous because I have never had a facial before. The technician explains what she will do before hand and asks if you have any issues. She examined my skin and once she saw my skin type she was able to figure out what kind of products to use. She cleansed my face and while doing so she gave a gentle massage which felt amazing. In between products she would wrap my face with a damp warm cloth soaked in peppermint oil which smelled AMAZING! My sinuses cleared up immediately and it helped my relax a bit more. She exfoliated my skin. Everything she used was applied gently and she incorporated massage into it as well. My skin feels so soft and clean. My friends and I are definitely planning on coming back! read more

I was dissapointed before even stepping foot in the salon. I attempted to make an appointment as a thank you Spa day for four of my Bridesmaids and Maid of Honor. I get an email from Laurence with the phone number to call the first two times no answer call goes straight to voicemail. The 3rd call before I could get a word in a woman asks me to please hold. She comes back on the line and I let her know I would like to speak to Laurence after receiving his return email she says who? I said do you not have someone there by the name of Laurence? She says oh yes he is in our management would you like to speak with him? I let her know I could speak with anyone who could help with suggestions and lunch for a 3/20/21 spa day for four. She says what day is that I say a Saturday she says oh we don't serve lunch on Saturday's because too many people are coming in but we do serve champagne I say okay so then she says so...what can I help you with at that point I felt she seemed a bit confused so I told her thank you but I would try to respond to the email. As I do he (Laurence)calls me back and says we are open so I don't know why you would have got the voicemail. I say to him well I finally spoke with someone but...midsentence he says oh you spoke with someone (and it seems as if he was talking to someone in the background and says it was handled okay and hangs up! I call back and left a message saying it seems you hung on me but my issue was not handled but thank you for your time. I then email him the same. He messages me back to tell me that we got disconnected but I probably dialed the wrong number in which I knew I hadn't and no one there spoke to me earlier. I let him know I very much so know how to use a phone and had the right number and most certainly spoke with someone there how would I know everything she said to me prior including the info about Saturdays and who he was and that he worked the desk yesterday he had not mentioned it in his email at any point I even took a screen shot of my call record to show I did infact call the right number three times and the minutes from when I actually got someone on the phone. He just kept insisting I hadn't talked to anyone there. Glad this happened prior to me booking their appointments if this is their idea of customer service! I have always had a pleasant experience until today. I traveled from Atlanta to Virginia then took a bus to Heaven spa in Philly, this morning. I received a call when I arrived in Philly this morning saying my appointment had to be cancelled due to my masseuse not being there and they could not fit me in. I traveled all the way from Georgia & the could not accommodate or compensate me?? After all, I paid $53 for my bus ticket & had to turn around and return to VA without any services. This is piss poor treatment from a business that I admired all these years. Im so disappointed in Heaven Spa after being a regular consumer for the last 15 years. I went in for a facial. My girl was Nona. She was terrible. My facial was supposed to be for an hour. She leaves the room for at least 10 minutes. She could have massaged your arms or head while face mask was on. Instead she leaves the room. I've had better facials at other places. She did not offer to reschedule with me, instead she said "okay well we will see each other again soon". The next day I was charged the price of the service and a mystery amount of $26????????????? I have only been here one other time, and I've never been asked to sign cancellation fee forms consenting to their policy (either in person or via phone) I DID NOT GIVE VERBAL CONSENT TO CHARGE MY CARD, not while scheduling or cancelling. I PROVIDED THE BANK NUMBERS SIMPLY BECAUSE IT WAS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO SCHEDULE. SHE DID NOT INFORM ME OF A CANCELLATION FEE BUT ONLY THAT IN THE EVENT I WOULD NEED TO, IT SHOULD BE DONE 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE IF POSSIBLE!!!! Larry Ryan the "owner" (A very poor customer service representative, may I add) refused to refund my card $55 and the ridiculous unknown charge of $26 simply because they are money hungry. I was there for a massage and the lady was really rough (can't remember her name). The massage was shorter that what the time was supposed to be but I didn't care since I wasn't enjoying the massage anyway. Went back because still had money left on the gift card, this time I had a facial by Nona. It was the worse facial I ever had (I had many facials in the past), she was very rough, I don't know how she was doing the extractions but it was super painful and when I left there my face was a mess and it took several weeks for my face to clear up again. read more

Today I went in for a massage and it was a disaster from the start. I had to move my stuff twice because the locks on the lockers were broken. Then I get taken back to the "room" , it was literally a converted broom closet. There wasn't even room for the therapist to walk around the table. The bottom of the table was pushed up against a cabinet and I couldn't even stand in the room with the therapist while she gave me her instructions, but whatever I ll be laying down, as long as she can work then fine. I lay down and it's freezing in the room but there is a heating pad that he turned on once she came back so it was ok. About 10 min. In some came BURSTING in the room. The door slammed into the therapist and she smashed into the table. After the sorrys the woman I guess was cleaning or stocking the room next door and was banging and clanking around for 20 min. Then she brought someone in the room and loudly talked for another 10 min. My therapist turned the music up but, I don't know if that was any better... it was noisy the whole 90min. The Therapist was OK, I won't give her name because... she's trying to make a living but it wasn't the best massage either, and I've had plenty. Then I go to get a shower just to rinse the oils off before I get dressed and the shower was NASTY. Just dirty and gross, I had flip flops on so I figured whatever I ll just hop in quick to get rinsed off and I let the water run for at least 5 min. Zero hot water. Freezing water is your only option, no wonder they can't get the shower clean they don't have hot water to clean with. The whole expected was just absolutely terrible, disappointing, and gross. This used to be the best in the area and I have been before and enjoyed it. I went a few months ago and got a prenatal massage and it was OK but not great, the bathroom was still nasty but at least their was warm water. $130 down the toilet. I get a european wax so I am usually a little nervous because it is painful. She puts me at ease :) CONS: Entrance, spa hallways and main "resting" room is odd. I got a wonderful massage here last weekend. I was able to call at 1pm on Saturday, and schedule one for the last open hour of the day, at 4pm. I showed up at 3pm so I could relax a bit before hand. The lounge leaves a little to be desired. There were two tiny squares of cheese and an empty plate that later on held a few saltines. However, I was there for the massage, not the lounge, so it was okay. Like I said, my massage was very nice, and it was done by Valdear. Next time, I would ask him to avoid my neck because it was quite sore the next day. My neck is generally tense, and I'd rather it be tense than loosened and sore the next day :). But that was probaby good for my muscles, anyway. And the overall massage was heaven. The table was warmed when I got there and he used plenty of moisturizer. The prices are standard, it was $85 for a one-hour swedish massage, but they also offer deep tissue, and some other ones too. read more

This was my first time being at Heaven Spa and first time being at a salon at all! Let me tell you how amazing the staff was along with the services. I had back to back appointments starting with a massage from Tina and then a facial from Nona. The massage felt amazing and the pressure was just right. She accommodated to my needs due to having an injury to my foot. The facial left my skin a little red which is normal due to the extractions of pimples etc. but looking at my skin a few days later it looks so healthy and clear! Both ladies were so friendly and kind. I had such a great experience! The whole place is very clean and the decorations are beautiful. In the waiting area there is complimentary lemon water along with tea and coffee pods. The receptionists at the front desk Becky and Kate were so helpful! The masseuses were superb, 5/5 stars. Front desk people? I just wanted to gouge my eyes out after dealing with them. I've never dealt with a group of such confused people... Seriously! So.. there were three people sitting at the front desk, side by side - two young women and an older man. They were all very chatty amongst each other and took awhile to notice us. After five minutes of wrapping up gossip, we were finally greeted and asked if we had an appointment. We were asked this not once, but three times total...by all three receptionists, one after the other. Did you not listen to your co-worker a second ago? Were you that spaced out? We did mention that we were all together.... *A credit card is required to book an appointment over the phone, which is used for last minute cancellation fees or for any services that will be requested during the spa appointment. * before any relaxation occurs, you must provide them with a credit card. They had my sister's credit card info in the system, but she decided that she wanted the all the charges to go on a different card instead. We literally had to hammer in the fact that we wanted to switch our method of payment. Is it just me, or was that not a complex request? Each time, they kept on saying, "no, the card that we have on file won't be charged until the end of your stay." So much for answering the question.. After that whole fiasco, they finally understood our desire to switch out credit cards. They assured us that only one card would be charged. The following day, we found out that there were charges of $400 on each card... *palm slap to face. Damn these people.. The relaxing effects of my massage were immediately gone after dealing with the receptionists. Despite my awesome sweedish massage, there is no doubt that i will ever return to "Heaven Spa". I went to Heaven Spa for a Birthday Spa Day with my girls a few months back. My spa services were ok, but the staff was kind of rude. I got an amazing facial, and a mediocre massage. My mani and pedi were good. The rudeness really came into play when we all wanted to sit and have lunch together, and the employees were trying to hurry us along. My friend (the birthday girl) had already told them that she wanted us to all eat together, but I she was either ignored, or they just didn't hear her. Either way, she repeated her request, and the employee responded that "time is money," so I guess she really didn't care what we wanted. The birthday girl and the others who'd finished early just ate slow, so the rest of us were able to join them at the table. Will I go back? Probably not. There are too many other spas in the area that are closer to me, and have better customer service. read more

The massage was good but the customer service was very lacking. Not to mention they charged the service on the wrong credit card and I ended up being charged for the service twice. They did give me a refund...BUT they refunded the wrong card. This whole experience makes me question their competent level. I will never go back to this place again. My husband booked me for a pre-natal massage and I was very excited, as I had been very anxious during the pregnancy and hoped that it would help me a little. I found the premises itself to be mostly great, with a couple of oddities. As an example, I was asked to pay for the services upon getting there (and tip as well). I was told that I was the last appointment of the day and that was the reason why, but then as I was leaving, I saw two more clients check in. Heaven Spa was very clean, and I thought the decor was really beautiful. After getting changed in a locker room (was kind of weirdly laid out but not a big deal), I waited for my masseuse in a holding space, which was half serene and half comical; there was typical spa music being played and pretty furniture to sit on, alongside a cheese and cracker plate (not much there but can't complain - I'll take what I can get) and a big tv with the nightly news on. Kind of hard to get in the mood to relax while watching the day's crime scenes unfold. The masseuse was very sweet and had a calming, soothing way about her. The massage itself was nice, but there wasn't much to it. Perhaps because it was a pre-natal massage, she could not really go very deep. I wish I had been able to feel a little more. I did walk out of there feeling more relaxed, but I didn't feel like I had a great massage overall. I will definitely return to Heaven Spa post-partum and see what a deep tissue massage feels like. It amazes me that there are so many hateful reviews for this place. Making me a little skeptical about my visit here for no reason. I received a gift card for here and booked an appointment without a problem. One issue is that the Pavilion its in is kind of confusing to navigate if you've never been there before. Also the only other issue I had was when I first got there, they didn't really show me what to do as it was my first time being not only there but at a real spa in general. I was directed from the lady at the front desk, but had to go back out to ask her to show me where and what I had to do again. Other than that it was a fabulous experience! Smelled wonderful in there too, definitely added to the relaxing aspect. I did the Ultimate Massage which is about 30 minutes in the hydrotherapy tub and then a full body massage for 55 minutes. I had Jane, who was incredible. I told her how much I had been on my feet the months prior and that my body really needed to relax and she helped so much! I've already told people to try out the place. Very awesome. I'll be back, once I'm able to save money up to afford it. As far as the negative views on here... People just want to complain. While the services were good here, I was in need of a massage after the aggravation caused by the staff. While it was awhile ago, I think it's worth noting that the manager of this salon was incredibly rude to my mother. She cancelled our services, which we intended to pay for with gift certificates my father spent $600 on for us, due to inclement weather. Not knowing that she could reserve the appointment with the certificates, she gave the receptionist her credit card information when booking the appointments. Without making a mention of it, the salon charged my mom's card SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS, money that my dad had already spent at the salon with our gift certificates. They made a huge fuss about reversing the charges. My mom eventually had to fight the bill with the help of her credit card company. When questioning the charges, the manager basically called my mom annoying. Enough said, I'll never ever go back to this salon. read more

The spa has a "special" on Mondays thru Thursdays 20% off of your service if you call on that day and it's available. Great since it was my birthday I will call for a mani and pedi. I did call and they had a appointment for me. While the spa is very nice and the nail technician was very good, the front desk girl was extremely rude. While I was checking out she gave me the total, and I asked was that with the 20% off and she stated that special was only for massages and body services however it does not state that on the website. She continued to have a conversion the phone as I checked out. I use to enjoy this spa however I will be taking my business elsewhere with the false advertising. after reading previous reviews I am validated in my experiences here. There is def. a snooty, odd, uncomfortable vibe at check in. It's better at checkout bc your giving them the $$. However, my facials with Tatiana are ACE, she's got it down, and I've had facials at some pretty great places. I go there for her, not the weird vibe and high prices. Their focus on the money is a def. put off... in your face, over the top, yuk... however, it's close to where I stay, and the actual services are good, so I consciously overlook the flaws. I have been coming here a couple times a year since we moved here in 2008. Had a scheduled massage for today, took off work, show up in the morning all excited for my "much needed "me day". Walk in at 9am to be told my appointment was cancelled yesterday because masseuse was out. Apparently they called some wrong number yesterday and left a message on some voicemail. Receptionist didn't seem too concerned my day has now been ruined. I just was looking so forward to it. They couldn't get another masseuse for me? Couldn't ensure you got any confirmation that your client was notified? I have this gift card (Father's Day Present) to use and then i take my business elsewhere. Yes, this is THE one and only place to go for a day or an hour of relaxation. After you check in, you are escorted to a dimly lit but warm waiting room where you can sit back and chill out for a bit. The soothing music they play really helps to set the mood and the entire spa smells absolutely delicious. As for the treatments, I did the "Heaven on Earth" package. I had a phenomenal 60 minute full body massage (probably one of the best massages i've ever experienced). I also got the heaven spa facial and body wrap which were both wonderful. My skin has never looked better than when I walk out of Heaven Spa. I always walk out GLOWING from head to toe. All of the products that they use here are organic-high quality, natural and gentle on your skin. If you have sensitive skin just let them know and they will customize everything to make sure nothing is used that will make your skin react badly. I rated the spa 4 stars versus 5 only because it IS a bit pricey. In my opinion though the experience is worth every penny. I can promise you that you'll feel as though you made a wonderful choice if you choose this spa. :) read more

Not so heaven... Was it the female staff member using the men's toilet and surprising my half naked self by walking through the men's locker room? No, that can be forgiven. Was it the crackers and saltines that must have been opened in 1985 and had the chewy character of those Ritz crackers in the open box at grandma's house? No, that too was just a bit disappointing. How about waiting on the well worn "Victorian" furniture reading the Family Circle magazine from last year for that glass of champagne that never came? No, that was just annoying. But the front desk staff did attempt to rush out a glass of champagne while we were on the way to the car..."no thanks" we said and got a whopping $5 rebate each! How about having to run to an ATM after our massage because you can't tip on your debit card? Stress level rising. How about the massage? It was great, let me say I feel bad for these therapists surrounded in an environment that distracts from their talents. Jane definitely put my tired muscles to ease and my wife was very happy with Vilma. I would say it was very much like the day's weather in philadelphia....a wet and cloudy experience, though it was brightened by the actual massage. I treated myself for a special occasion and scheduled a 1/2 day Heaven on Earth spa package. In the past, I had always had an excellent experience with Heaven Spa which is why I scheduled for my special occasion. Needless to say, halfway through my seaweed wrap, I was informed I could been exfoliated before receiving the seaweed and honey wrap. I told technician I didn't know that since no one ever mentioned it. Also, I received flat champagne with my lunch and the salmon sandwich was not as tasty as I remembered. When I mentioned it to the person who brought lunch she said, "Oh". I told her serving flat champagne is like serving stale old bread. She asked if I wanted wine but didn't wait for my response and I wasn't given another glass of champagne. In addition, whatever products Nona used on my face, the areas are now dark and I am still peeling two weeks later. I was very disappointed with the whole experience and will not be returning nor recommending to others. The massage was ok but the facial was not enjoyable at all. I believe the techs name was Nona but I'm not 100% sure. I felt she was very rough when doing the extractions to the point where it left a mark on the side of my nose. I've gotten tons of facials at various places and that has never happened before. I've also never had extractions feel as painful as they did with her. My face overall looked good but definitely a rough experience.
