We live over 3 hours away and I was a little nervous as I didn't know anyone personally who used Shannon for their photographer. First - Shannon IS a professional. She clearly communicated to us to ensure we were happy with the final product. I do not photograph well. I am so glad I listened to her because at the end of the session, she asked us to do a few different poses. I'm not that adventurous -- she made me feel comfortable. Her suggestions turned out to be my favorite. Trust me, if you hire her - LISTEN to what she says. It's well worth it. She sent my gallery over within a week and I was blown away at how much I liked the photos. Usually, I have a hard time finding 1 picture that I like. Leading up to the day, Marianne & Steve were incredibly organized and thoughtful. We had both a phone call and a Zoom meeting where they walked through every detail to make sure nothing was missed. They even used Google Maps to virtually walk us through the French Quarter and talk through locations and timing. That level of preparation made us feel completely at ease. Our original plan was to elope, but as anyone who tries to elope in New Orleans learns, that rarely stays small. What unfolded was a joyful, intimate gathering we lovingly called our "not a wedding."
