Before finding this little gem I had some really horrible cuts at some of the big hairdresser chains. Having rather curly hair seemed to present a real problem to most hairdressers. I was always hoping that they wanted me to look funky, but I assume they just couldn't cut it properly. The salon is owned by Sally, who is also the main hairdresser, but I normally book my cut with Sophie. I love the way they are dealing with customers. They always ... and I mean always ... ask me what I want to have done before they start the whole routine of wash, cut and so on. I find the questions very comforting, because even though they know me and my hair they give me the option to change my style if I want to. I normally have colour and cut done, but I also had the Brazilian Blow Dry done several times with them, which turned out beautiful every time and was marginal cheaper than in the more central salons. The atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly. Most people are regulars, but you also have the walk in customers. Sally is also offering a reward scheme, which gives you a stamp for every £25 spend in a single transaction and £10 off after eight stamps.

I went for the colour and a basic cut, no particular style. I wanted to keep mine. I left with a not "brilliant" colour but I could bear with that at that very moment...the problem came up when I got home! I didn't notice that behind my neck a big part on my left was not trimmed! It looked horrible...thinking also that who did the job was the Senior stylist! My tint also started fading after 2 weeks.. I was not given any option for the price, like the different price of a senior stylist or a stylist prices so I ended up paying the highest price ( I assume therefore she was the Senior stylist). I won't return for sure! Now I am going to a school for hairdresser..they might do mistakes but at least the price is much more affordable and so far...no mistake but bright colours!

She was so kind and so attentive and I could tell she cared so much about the end result and how my daughter felt the entire way through the experience. I really recommend Daiva's. It's always handy to have one you can go to on a whim on the weekends! I've been there twice now, with a third appointment coming up in a few weeks. Daiva, the owner, has done my highlights: she changed my hair from being standard, somewhat brassy blonde to a cleaner, more ashy blonde that suits my complexion a lot more. I was really really impressed with how it came out, usually I come out feeling disappointed or not really seeing a difference (bar the roots) but you could definitely see the improvement in my colour! I'd been thinking of cutting my hair recently but I'm always weary of hairdressers. A trim always ends up being 4 inches off the length! My hair was long, one length and a bit blah. I really wanted to put some layers and add some shape to it so I finally decided to bite the bullet and do it! I went to Daiva as I trust her after the previous experience, she's been in the business for 17 years, so I had faith in her skills! The cut turned out beautifully, she really knows what she's doing. I haven't tried any of the other stylists from what I've witnessed, they're as skilled and passionate as Daiva.
