They were too busy chatting with regular customers who they seemed to know quite well. I didn't feel like the stylist actually listened to me as I wanted my hair in a new style and quite a bit shorter but ended up with a cut that looks exactly as the one I came in with, just a bit shorter and more refined. It's not a bad cut, they definitely know what they are doing, I'm just disappointed to have paid 40 quid for a cut that looks exactly as the one I walked in with. The salon itself is small, tidy and welcoming. The staff seem to know what they are doing, maybe I just caught them on a bad day, I'm not sure. I won't be returreturning myself, but if you live in the area and are looking for relatively straightforward service, it may be worth a visit.

I love the ambience at Drench and also love the fact that it's not full of screaming kids running around like in other local cheaper salons. Going to the hairdressers should be a relaxing experience and this is always the case when I visit Drench. More recently there's also a beautician doing treatments in the beauty rooms at the salon such as threading, facials, etc.

This is my favorite nail salon in London!…read more It is affordable - 16 pounds for a set of gel nails, and slightly more for acrylic, which makes it one of the cheapest places in London. The woman who does the nails works extremely quick, and she knows exactly what she is doing. The extensions would look great even after 3 weeks of having them, without even a need for a refill. You do need to have an appointment, but she is extremely helpful - once I rocked up at 6:45 pm without an appointment a day before my holiday, and she still did my nails. I also don't have any hygiene concerns, as she keeps her equipment sterile. She has a nice selection of colors and is quite happy to experiment with whatever ideas your imagination has. I also pop into there for a quick eyebrow threading from time to time, when I am unable to maintain the shape myself. And again - it is always a pleasurable experience and I always walk out with a smile from this place!

The business has been through several re-brands over the years so I must say I don't know the current owner but the staff are long serving. Kim, Shirley and Debbie are the ones to go to. Great service, skills and chat - even when you're hungover and getting a cut! All 3 are popular so you need to book in advance. As long as they stay whenever the next re-brand happens I'll be happy. Initially I was told 'it will lighten up as the toner washes out', but numerous washes later it still looks.... Exactly the same. The ends look maybe a hint lighter, but I've seen bigger changes in my hair colour just from spending more time in the sun. It doesn't feel great when you tell your friends you've had your colour done and the reaction is '...really, what did you change?' I understand that I was starting with coloured hair, but I have had it lightened before, starting with a much darker colour and a different salon was able to get it to platinum blonde in one session. Don't get me wrong, the team were really lovely and hospitable when I was getting the haircut done, and if all you need is a cut this place will do great. However, I don't think it is great customer service if I come back to explain the result still isn't as expected, and the solution offered is to just pay for another session. I will. Just not here. And for the record, if you are using foils, it's not a balayage. See the second sentence of the definition if you just google 'balayage'

I've worked past this salon a few times while in Richmond but never noticed it. When I read the reviews on Yelp, I thought to give it a try. I was looking for a cut and dry but they could only do a cut at the time I wanted. Hesitant of two things, the fact that it was freezing outside and I didn't want to be cold and also the fact that I've never tried this salon before, I had to think about it. As I continued to read the reviews, I decided to take the plunge and book for 2:30pm. I called around 12pm for an appointment. As I walked in, I noticed how nearly organised and clean it was and that's important to me. The salon is a small shop with two male and two female hairdressers from what I saw. The staff were nice and took my coat and scarf when I walked in. Within 30 minutes or less, I got a wash and new haircut. My only issue is the fact that I felt as though the lady (dark hair, can't remember her name) was judging me because of my split ends and didn't really pay attention to what I was saying. Nevertheless, I got a nice cut so she must have some multi tasking ability with a "let's get it done quickly" personality. My haircut was £28 and because I checked into the salon through yelp, I get a men's cut for £12 instead of £16. That would be of some use to someone.
