In my case, my snowblower was completely dead, so after spending two days working on it with no success, I decided to take to a repair place with an excellent track record that was recommended by a few friends. What could be worse than not having a fully functioning snowblower when the first snow storm of season takes aim on your neighborhood. You end up with a really sore back from shoveling too snow much like I did. This when you know you should take your lawn and garden equipment to a skilled professional that will fix it right the first time, and saving you from having to lie on a heating pad all weekend long. I decided to load up my snowblower, and head over to Canton Power Equipment on Ford Road. My poor baby was really sick, and after careful analysis, the owner told me that it needed a new carburetor, and fuel lines. While he had the lines in stock, it took two weeks to for the carburetor to arrive from MTD. I was expecting this repair project to cost an arm and a leg. However, when I received the bill for $80.00, which not only included labor, parts, and auger adjustments, but a free oil change as well, I was very delighted beyond words. Now my snowblower starts on the first pull after priming, which is far better than it ever did even when it was new from the factory. Several other local repair places wanted to charge me around $150.00 for less than I received at Canton Power Equipment. Moreover, they will tackle any brand of equipment that you may own, and will give you a written estimate before they start any repair project. Likewise, they let you if the parts are still available or not to properly repair your product. This place will be go to location in the future for any engine repair projects.

He said to bring it in, so i rushed over there and walked in to an empty store that looked like a garage that was turned into a store.. He finally walked up front from the back while i was checking out a mower he had for sale, it was the same one i had, he asked what i needed and i told him i brought my mower in.. He said what mower is it, i said the same one as that one and pointed to his SX75, he said well i don't know what your pointing at theres more than one mower over there for sale.. I looked at him strange and said the SX75, like he doesn't remember me calling 20 min ago? Obviously he has no business the place was empty. So i told him i wanted an inspection done and a basic tune up.. He seemed confused, i told him i wanted the linkage and belts adjusted, he said you cant adjust the linkage or pulleys.. Both the brake and clutch linkage has a threaded end on them so I'm starting to wonder if he is a real mechanic, i also told him about the reverse not working and he said it was the rear end and could not be the loose belts or the linkage thats clearly adjustable, he seemed to wanna argue about stuff like i was acting like i knew more than him and he wanted to prove me wrong?? I said so can you look at it or no? He finally said yeah i can look at it and started asking me for my information, i just stopped and said "actually I'm just gonna look at it myself" and started walking out, he said "so do you still want me to look at it"? I never answered and just left.. Blows me away how some people even get business or customers, even if i didn't know what i was talking about he could of just did some basic servicing and made a little money, but he just wanted to argue and seemed like he had something to prove.. Never go here!

I SHOULD HAVE STOPPED SOONER! This place has about everything you might want for your garage and lawn. A huge selection of Bosch, Stihl, Dewalt, Milwaukee and other tools. Thousands of bits and blades. But back to my issue... they had some trouble finding my carb since the trimmer was almost 20 years old. But the super helpful guys called to their Brighton store and were able to track down the part number history from a manual there. And I was in luck... they even had the carb in stock! While there I picked up a handful of other items I've been needing. I think I could have spent a few hours in there checking everything out. If you are a woodworker, landscaper (your own yard or professional), contractor, mason, etc then you definitely need to check out this place!

It was working fine and had only about 45-50 hours of work on it but it didn't always start without a rumble. Thinking I would head off any major problems, I brought it back to the store where I originally purchased it. When I described the problem I was having to the guy who looked at my unit, he simply said he'd have his repair technician look at it. At NO POINT did he mention that they would take my unit apart completely and then leave it that way after determining what they thought was the problem. About two weeks after my drop-off, they called to say that the armature was bad and would cost around $200.00 to fix. They recommended that I buy a new unit instead. A new unit is now more than $300 and there wasn't a sale on the new polisher. My polisher was nearly pristine and well cared for and when I looked at all the parts, they still looked brand new. No wear on any of the gears was visible. I found the whole experience a bit off and when I looked at the current Google reviews for Marsh Tools, I noticed that several other customers had a very similar experience very recently. Without warning, they were given back completely disassembled tools and told they should buy new tools. I would not recommend that anyone buy tools from these guys. You certainly shouldn't take your tools there for repair unless you want similar treatment.

If I still owned a house and could plant lots of flower beds or pots, I would enjoyed coming here for the prices and selection. I did find some plants but they didn't have a selection of pots to plant in. So if you have a house, this is a good choice, but if you live in an apartment and only need a few plants or pots, stay with full service greenhouses. I am still glad I came out.

After speaking to some of his workers, John came to my home to look at what I consider to be a big job, the entire front of my home. He came up with a great plan, drew up plans, all plants and the location of each. I finally received a date of installation. About 3-4+ weeks, the plants began to brown. I called John, informed him of this and told me to water more since it has been a very hot and dry summer. I then watered by hand even more, in addition to the 20 minutes in the am daily by another system installed; this was John's recommendation. Still not a great result. AGAIN, I tried to reach out to John WITHOUT A REPLY. Desperate to not have all plants turn brown and die, I went to English Garden with pictures. They gave me additional ideas to trim and water each plant an entire minute and some have worked out well.; some are doing better, but some are still not doing well AGAIN, I reached out to John! He told me he'd come by to look at the landscaping himself the following week. TWO WEEKS LATER and another call and text from me, he finally arrived. This was two days ago and no contact from him since he saw my landscaping and his plants. I reached out to him and haven't heard from him AGAIN. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! USE ANOTHER COMPANY!!!!

There are more than just mowers here. Chainsaws, weed whackers, etc. are sold here. This place also sells the Snapper and Stihl brands of machinery, among others, and offers tune-up and repair services. The reason I rated this establishment two stars is because of my experience when I went to purchase an air filter. The total was just over $6, and I intended to support a local business instead of a chain store, even if it meant paying more. When it became clear to the cashier (Gundy) that I intended to pay with my Visa card (as I usually do), she gave me a hard time about it. She told me that it would be better to pay with cash for that small of a purchase. She recommended that purchases above $20 or so would be better for a card payment. This would have not been so bad had there been a sign or something that made it clear that using a card required spending X amount of dollars. She let me make the purchase because of who I was (my dad is a customer in good standing here), but I was made to feel as though I was taking a liberty by paying with my Visa card. My conclusion is this: if there is no sign that treats everyone the same about whether they can make a purchase with a credit card, how do I know whether or not I was being singled out to be given a hard time about it? Are there others who have had their card refused because it was too little of a purchase, or simply because of who they were? This is lawsuit material, and unless United Mowers makes it clear to every customer about what is considered a minimum credit card purchase, I will prefer to shop elsewhere where one is treated as a valued customer instead of someone who is excused for using plastic.
