They first attempted to clean them but it still wouldn't work. They had to repair the unit but as you could imagine how hard it is not to hear. She had to wait a few days to get the unit back and made an appointment to pick it up in the morning. When she arrived they thought it was to clean the hearing aid based on notes. She explained that she was picking up the hearing aid but it wasn't ready and hadn't even arrived. She was told maybe by midday but they weren't sure and to try later in the afternoon instead. We had to call before going back a second time just to make sure we weren't wasting our time and they were still not confirming it being ready. 5/5 Parking it's a huge parking lot but with limited spots right up front. Care and Quality. I am dissatisfied with HearUSA in Pasadena. Poor Quality of Service. Every time I go there for problems with my hearing Aids, they do not address the problem and brush me off with excuses for my problems with my hearing Aids. My original hearing test took only 5 minutes and the audiologist just told me "Yes, your hearing is bad." If I could rate a 0 stars I would. Thankfully, my time wasted wasn't too long, because I shut it down very quickly. The front desk and/or hearing aid specialist was very rude and belittling. I say "and/or specialist" because she was the one who also checked me in (never had that happen to me at my home location- in which I couldn't get an immediate apt w them so I went here) & she was the one who LOOKED at my hearing aid and held it to her ear. I went in for issues with my L hearing aid- her literally holding it to her ear, would do nothing unless it's INSIDE her ear like you'd wear them as it was not feedback noise I was coming in for. She mentioned on the phone we could pay/do a cleaning when arrived and check then if it helped, no cleaning was even mentioned before she rudely said they're about 4/5 years old and its "time for some new ones as they go bad and malfunction around this time". I would hope not considering how much I paid! When I asked her if we could try the cleaning or if there's a way to check the hearing aid before spending 300$+ to send out AND a week with no hearing she said "honey ive been doing this 15 years I know what im talking about. They're just old and you need new ones. Let's talk about how much those are" in to which I shut it down, Asked for my hearing aid back from her hand, and said I'll wait. She continued trying to pitch for new ones until I said goodbye. Did I need my hearing aid fixed? Yes. Did I want to pay my hard earned money to a location talking to me like I'm incompetent for asking a simple question? No. I have since then made my appointment with the location I've always trusted, Whittier. And will gladly review options for new ones IF that is needed after repair. When discussing purchasing my hearing aids, we talked about how best to cover them through my insurance. They come with a 3-year warranty, and all discussion was about how that included three years of support if any issues arose. Sounded great, except HearUSA had me purchase through one of their affiliates that is also owned by the hearing aid manufacturer so my insurance would cover. OK, fine, except that means only one year of support, which wasn't discussed but was noted on one of the 1,500 pieces of paper shoved at me as I worked through the purchase. Narely a year after purchase, the left hearing aid volume dropped without explanation so I went to HearUSA, thinking I had three year of support. Nope, $65 to walk in their door after my insurance company paid nearly $5,000 for these cheap pieces of crap. They waived the charge this once but now the left hearing aid won't turn on. Still under warranty, BUT I'll have to pay $65 to have them look at it and send it in for warranty service/repair. Stay away, stay far away. They make the purchase as confusing as possible with multiple affiliated companies to get you the "best" deal that hides the true cost of ownership. Add to that unreliable product, and HearUSA can't be trusted. read more

Last March 15, 2024, when I went there, you guys treated me very nice that's why I gave a nice review to HearUSA in West Covina branch to encourage all the seniors who've a hearing problem to go here because the employees are very nice and knowledgeable about hearing aid. But I was VERY WRONG, VERY VERY WRONG for that nice review that I gave you ! Last July 2, 2024 I went back to this branch because I need a repair of my hearing aid. So I paid $325.00 to fix my problem. I asked Bianca the front desk receptionist how much I'm going to pay for cleaning, she told me she will not going to charge me, (because I just pay her for $325.00) just remind her. But after one week I need to pick up my hearing aid she's saying I need to pay $45.00 just for cleaning. I remind her that she said, she will not charge me for cleaning because I paid $325.00 but she said cleaning is not included. You're a liar! You told me to just remind you ! I think you have Alzheimer disease! Now Ms. Bianca I want to tell you this, I don't want how the way you treated me! You are telling me that you don't want to clean my hearing aid because I keep on going there for 8 times for cleaning and not paying you , that my 3 years warranty is already expired ? I called EPIC to asked them when did I got my hearing aid? EPIC said last FEB. 2021 and it's expired on last FEB. 2024 so I'm entitled to have cleaning 2 times a year or every 6 months since (2021 to 2024). So, if 2 times a year and for 3 years that's only 6 times! Right? So how come you're saying that I went there 8 times and I'm not paying you ? You don't know simple mathematics ? I have my 2 hearing aid done in your branch. My hearing aid cost $5,000 a pair. So I gave worth $10,000 paid by my insurance. Now I don't like the way you are talking to me. I'm explaining to you my side but you keep on interrupting me. I kept stopping because when I'm talking , you're talking too ! You are not listening to me. You are talking to me in a loud voice, you are treating me like I'm a criminal ! You embarrassed me to the people who's there. You and Elaine don't know how to deal to your customers. I called 2 to ask an important question regarding how do I qualify for a reduced bus pass, thinking i would get a response but no, the person in the front office her name is Bianca was saying to me she was in the military to spell the email of the hearing tech and so irrelevant to know, like common on take care of important things like calling your clients back when they leave a message and let them talk and don't argue back. Be more professional to start with. I had already bad experience in the pass with their customer service but i thought the last time I had my hearing tested and got my new hearing aids it would get better service but guess was wrong. After completing all the required paperwork, we were then greeted by a Ms. Alla Avetisyan who is their Hearing Aid specialist. From the very beginning, Ms. Avetisyan established a climate of refined communication, care, compassion and kindness. After assessing why we came in, she professionally set out to administer a hearing test to my dad. Following this test, we were impressed by the manner in which Ms. Avetisyan was able to present the results of this hearing test in a way that made it easy to comprehend. Following this presentation, Ms. Avetisyan provided us with various hearing solutions that made sense and although outside our budget, she helped find a way to make it work. Ms. Avetisyan's display of kindness, compassion and keen understanding, made us feel more like members from her actual family than just another client or prospective customer. In this day and age of production, numbers and profit margins, it is refreshing to enter a professionally run office to receive the kind of care and concern normally reserved for highly valued family members. I first was sent to this Hear USA office from Kaiser audiology dept in 2019 . I also had a bad experience with the same person, Ala . She was borderline rude . I tried using my BENIFITS thru Medicare, but Ala refused to include it in the total price . I asked her to show me where the 1000.00 dollar benefit was worked into the price . She said "it's in there" . I didn't want to buy a set that cost over 3000.00 dollars without trying them I told her . She just showed me a picture of the aids and said "that's all I have" . "Which one do you want?" she asked . I said "no thanks" and left . I tried a different Hear USA , last year in Whittier and was totally happy with the outcome . Nicole is very helpful and polite. Took the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. I got to try the aids on and got to use the 1380.00 benefit on my Signia Silk 1x . My grandmother was refusing to try out hearing aids for some time, and she finally agreed for my uncle to take her to this office. She came back home and was very pleased with the services provided to her by Alla Avetisyan. Alla was very professional, patient and knowledgeable. She answered all their questions and made sure my grandmother and uncle walked out happy and satisfied. They felt very welcomed and comfortable. I am so happy that Alla was able to inform my grandmother of how important and helpful the use of hearing aids is. My grandmother agreed to give it a try and not only is she very happy but so are we. I am so glad I came here! The staff was very friendly and professional. Dr. Alla Avetisyan was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, patient and pleasant. I love the hearing aids I purchased. Went to Azusa Ave Office in December. It was determined that I needed hearing aids. Hearing aids are wonderful however the told me my co-pay was just over $1000.00 that I paid in advance. When my insurance payment notice came it said I was over charged $390.00 After several visits and phone calls no effort made to refund difference. My advise would be refuse payment until your insurance company assigns benefit. read more
