I got the best care at Morabito Hearing. Ryan was so careful to make sure that my hearing aids are…read moretuned exactly to my needs. In fact they call them hearing instruments and they really are, in the right hands. He set a decibel maximum so loud noises wouldn't be jarring and he tweaked them to match my particular hearing loss. I had hearing aids about 12 years ago and they were really awful. They made everything shockingly loud and I wound up retuning them. So I was not expecting this to be helpful but my Dr, Dr Sarnov (another great Dr., btw )recommended I try again. I am SO GLAD I did! I feel 20 years younger! I was at a social event last evening, the same day I got them and I was able to hear all of the conversations in the room and because of this, I was able to make a little joke about the topic of conversation (dogs) and everyone laughed at my joke. I can't tell you how good that felt and I realized how much I had grown accustomed to missing. If you are thinking about it...do try them. But make sure you go to Morabito, where they really take the time to help you hear again.

It did not cover tge "special drops for eyes" about $100.00. Also didn't cover surgery center-$300 I went at my eye drs recommenadation. At my 3 or 4th visit Surgeon said because my astigmatism in both eyes a reg surg would not give me the result (no glasses) but for $1300 per lense I could get a toric lense (not covered by ins) implanted which corrects that. All had to be paid up front. I am retired on ssi and not a lot of extra money----but I said since I am only going to do this ONE time ok.After about a month both eyes were done With multiple eye dr appts copay is for specialist for eye drs. Anyway I did all this because I figured if no longer need flasses.... Long story short I went fo glasses my opt gave a script for driving glasses and needed reading glasses. This was not what I signed up for. I tried it-as I had no choice, but went back and told him-I could not my computer with either. Finally I went back to my optom and told I was NOT HAPPY & had to go back to Bifocals. He had a hard time fitting me and even worse his office didn't order them right for 3 trys. When I told him how unhappy I was his snwer was "Well, it; was surgery. You can't gaurantee results! i was ANGRY. I went then went to a new Opt who explained That I could see near and far but not mid range and because they put he toric lens in that will never change. He was able to fit me with bi-focals.I see ok with them. But now I had to pay exam AGAIN since my insur allowance was used. I HAD TO PAY FOR ANOTHER PAIR OF GLASSES! i KNOW THIS WILL NOT BE EVERYONES RESULT, but ask questions so hopefully you knw what you wil be getting into. I would not have gotten the"Premiuum" lenses had I known. Good luck

If you are looking for an eye center, please keep looking. I have never been so disappointed as I…read moream with Rochester Optical. I've dealt with an organization who refused to do an eye exam; but instead had no problem using my insurance and charging me for the glasses and contacts in lieu of the eye exam, because my current exam was still valid. They literally refused the eye exam I was there on that day for. So, when I needed to order new contacts they refused because they didn't do the contact fitting. I pointed out that them that you didn't do it in March, but had no issue with taking my money then and give them to me. I have spoken to 5 different representatives (all who gave me contradicting information, two with promises to make an exception only for that to be rescinded), and left two messages with the manager who never returned by call until almost 4 weeks later stating her voice mail was broken (I seriously don't believe it). I just don't care for an establishment who does business this way; and when they make an error refuse to work on a solution.

Well, I never thought that I'd be patronizing this place again, but my company has a special deal…read morewith them for safety glasses, so I decided to use it. When I went to pick out my glasses, I was helped fairly quickly by a 'jittery' guy (didn't catch his name, but he couldn't sit still), who was helpful and thourough. He took all the measurements, told me it would be 7-10 days until they were ready, and I paid my co-pay. A week later, I got a call telling me that they were ready. I set aside an hour the next day, and went down to get them fitted. Boy, what a difference a week makes! Wheras the day I went to pick out my lenses I got good, fast service, the day I went to get fitted was a different story. I waited 10 minutes just to get through the receptionist, then waited another 45 minutes to get fitted. The glasses were done correctly, but I actually had to demand the side shields that were the whole reason for buying safety frames in the first place. All in all, I would have to say that I got what I paid for, but considering how little I paid, that's not really much of a compliment. They seem to be able to make lenses correctly now, but customer service is highly variable. I would suggest that you budget at LEAST 90 minutes for each trip there. Selection is merely good, nothing special. If it weren't for the special my company gives, I probably wouldn't bother using them. At least they've improved in the last 3 years. ***Update*** I went back for a second fitting the other day (the ear-holds weren't quite right from the first fitting-that's what happens when you rush it), and got better service then. I was also trying to figure out just how much lenses in my new prescription would be for my everyday glasses, and all I get is a vague answer of "about $90-something". Not quite sure why they can't just come out and give me a bona-fide price. I'll be checking to see if Wal-Mart optical can give me a better deal. At least they will quote me a final price. BTW, I got a call today from them asking if everything was OK with them. So, at least they are trying (at least a bit). I just wish they would get more people to serve customers in the store.
