Said he had a combined loss of 80%…read morehearing..Sold him a pair of hearing aids for $6785...My Father is 78 and doesnt have a lot of money. When My Father called to cancel that afternoon he was told to call back the following Monday. This went on for several days to which end my Mother talked to the family attorney. When she called this Dr Reed again she told him that the charge still had not been removed from her card and she had consulted an attorney. Mr. Reeds reply was I dont give a crap about your attorney call the corporate office. This office is located in the heart of retired people and I would bet that the majority of business is from people over the age of 65...what a way to handle retired people..Poor customer service. FYI My Father was reevaluated at COSTCO with a total loss of 40% and the same hearing aids were $1995. Do not go to this guy for care.

She spent a lot of time trying to explain what she was doing and how I needed to push the button. When my phone rang (I would have ignored it) she told me to answer it and walked out of the room. My call lasted 30 seconds, but she never came back. I asked another staff where she was, and finally, after 10 minutes I left. Now I'm looking for another company with trained staff.

    I had a very frustrating experience with the USF Hearing Clinic and want to share it so others know…read morewhat to expect. Before my appointment, I asked twice--once by phone and again in person--whether the clinic had verified my insurance and what my total cost would be. Both times I was told that they had run my insurance and that my responsibility would only be my $40 specialist copay. After the appointment, I learned that the clinic billed my insurance using diagnostic audiology procedure codes instead of an office-visit code. This created a much higher bill and an unexpected balance of $56.73 that was never disclosed to me beforehand. I only found out after receiving my Explanation of Benefits. Trying to resolve the issue made things worse. My emails went unanswered, I was not given accurate billing contact information, and when the clinic finally called me, the staff member became argumentative, talked over me, and blamed my insurance company instead of addressing the discrepancy. It was unprofessional and extremely frustrating. Patients deserve accurate cost information, transparent billing, and respectful communication. Unfortunately, my experience at this clinic did not reflect those standards. I recommend getting all cost information in writing and being very cautious before scheduling here.

I've worn my cochlear implant for five years, and she's the first audiologist who has taken the initiative to do testing I've never experienced before. She thinks outside the box to find solutions tailored to my specific needs, and for the first time, I actually look forward to my appointments. In the past, I dreaded going because I always left feeling disappointed, but now I leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful. She is a rare find in the medical field, and I am so grateful for her dedication and expertise.
