I received extremely poor customer service and directly called my primary care office to refer me to a different Neurologist immediately. Will not be rescheduling here. There is a lot of Chiari Malformation data to back up the link between losing/gaining weight with regards to pain levels, and surgical success/failure. I wasn't there to hear how the doctor may have phrased it, and it may very well have seemed harsh, or unfair, but Chiarians have a very hard time finding a knowledgeable doctor, and a false negative review, makes that worse. (I'm a Chiarian, myself, and have been seen by the very worst.) I belong to a few Chiari Malformation groups, and have heard several positives regarding Dr. Shulman. Met with her as I had some neurological issues and suffered from excruciating migraines. She was extremely thorough and so nice. We ran through some tests and she spoke to me about green tea and it's benefits and fact that it helps prevent and cure migraines. Let's just say I took her advice to heart and drink about 4 glasses per day and have yet to suffer from an excruciating migraines. And folks it's been almost 3 years. I am forever grateful for her. Check in process for a new patient was simple and fast. Had about a half hour wait past appointment time but the MD spent loads of time with me so the wait was well worth it. The physican explained the MRI thoroughly, my options, recovery, risks and what could be expected. Medical appointments are never fun but they are a necessity so when the experience goes well it certainly makes life easier. This clinic is definitely well run, professional and thorough.
