They have a concierge for your ski equipment, and a shuttle if needed (it wasn't needed this time, there was plenty of snow on the path to ski to the lifts). We were hoping to enjoy the restaurant and bar (The Van Winkle) but it was unfortunately closed for a private event. We were given a booklet of nearby places to eat, which was helpful. The room had a luxurious feel to it, spa-like. It was clean and well stocked. We had wifi keys which is a nice feature, and the elevators were efficient. Breakfast was included, and it was a "grab and go" assortment of oatmeal, pastries, apples and granola bars, along with hot beverages. I would have liked it if the hot beverages had been available after skiing as well, but there were coffee pots in the room with coffee, teas and actual mugs, along with creamers and sweeteners. We will surely be coming back to this great location!

What is unexpectedly amazing about this hotel is the service. I have never experienced such warmness and understanding from any hotel staff. There was a snow storm on Sunday and my friends actually got into a car accident. Thankfully, nothing terrible happened and everyone was safe, but the whole experience had us shook. That was the day we were supposed to check-out. As you can imagine, we were all worried about driving back in these conditions, especially as the storm kept getting worse, rather than slowing down. The hotel staff offered to extend our stay, free of charge, so that we could wait out the storm. They even provided us with extra linens and towels so we could have a more comfy evening. I cannot say how thankful we all are. Our stay at the Kaatskill Mountain Club was amazing. Aside from the amazing staff, the hotel amenities themselves are pretty cool. We had a fun time at the hot tub and heated pool, and the complimentary breakfast is the perfect pick me up before a long ski day. If you're looking for a cozy weekend getaway, and an amazing hospitality, that's the place for you.

All I was looking for was a decent place to wash up and sleep, and this motel did the job fine. I just happened to see one of the staff members outside when I pulled in, and she opened up the office so I could check in. I guess the office was already closed otherwise? There was a sign on the office door to knock at the green building down the driveway if there was no one there, so I would have had to do that if I hadn't seen her. (Which wouldn't have been that big deal, probably.) The room and bathroom were clean, even if a bit aged. The bathroom had clean towels and basic toiletries (even disposable toothbrushes) available. There was a small area with a fridge with freezer, microwave, dishes, glasses, mugs, and a coffee maker. I found out the next morning that the coffee condiment bag was probably old because the moisture from the creamer leaked out and fused with the sugar packets. Good thing I didn't really need it. The coffee was pre-portioned out in a zip-lock bag. Not sure how old it was but it tasted fine when I made the coffee. The chain lock on the door was also broken, but the motel was so quiet and not busy that I wasn't worried about someone breaking in. I was also in the room next to the motel owner and door to my room was well-lit, so that also helped. Not sure if I would have felt the same my room was located farther away from there. There was also free wi-fi which was essential because there was pretty much no cellular service (at least on my carrier). Check-out was also super easy - just drop the key in the key drop. I would stay here again, if I needed just the basics.

It was clean, comfortable, unique, and a lot of fun, offering the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. What I loved most was that it felt like camping, but without sacrificing comfort. The Lushna Suite gave us that outdoorsy experience and connection to nature while still having a real bed. My back was extremely thankful that I was sleeping on a comfortable mattress instead of the ground. I was also a little concerned that being so immersed in the woods would mean dealing with bugs, but we had absolutely zero issues during our stay. The property itself is beautiful, with plenty of fun things to do on-site, but we spent most of our days exploring the surrounding area. We hiked, kayaked, and fished, then returned each evening to relax and enjoy the atmosphere at Eastwind. A special shoutout to the food. The BBQ was outstanding, honestly some of the best I've had in a very long time. It far exceeded expectations and ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. Specialty drinks were delicious too and my son said it was the best Shirley Temple he's ever had! The combination of unique accommodations, great food, a beautiful setting, and easy access to outdoor activities made this a truly memorable getaway. Most importantly, it gave me the opportunity to spend quality time with my son and create memories we'll both cherish for years to come. I would highly recommend Eastwind to anyone looking for a relaxing escape, an outdoor adventure, or simply a chance to reconnect with family while enjoying all the comforts of home. There is so much good to mention from our stay at East Wind in Windham. There was also a few little…read moresurprises that were mostly because we didn't read the website description or dig thoroughly enough, so I will try to make this as helpful as possible! For reference, we stayed in one of the Lushna cabins that are best described as the size of a big teepee tent with one beautiful window wall. First surprise, I don't think were were fully expecting how small it was and that there is basically just a bed and then room for a bag or two. Yes, the bathrooms are detached and you have to go outside to get to them but they are a few feet away, private, and they keep them so incredibly warm that it was actually really nice in there. They are very spacious, have plenty of shelves and the shower is huge and luxurious. My bathroom at home honestly pales in comparison. There are two saunas on property but the one right outside of our cabin was not working, most likely because of how cold it was outside. It was a bummer, especially because we didn't want to trek to the other farther away one. We ate at Dandies, their on site restaurant, our first night and everything was incredible. Their staff was super friendly and lovely to chat with. We went back for the mulled wines more than once and stopped by in the AM for coffees before leaving for the day. It was great to have so close by. Our first morning we tried the breakfast basket and loved that it just appeared at our door. For $30 we got a Stanley thermos of coffee, hard boiled eggs, yogurt parfaits, OJ, and croissants. Nothing too crazy but I loved having a slow start to the day with breakfast in bed. Windham is filled with great places to eat, cute antique shops, a movie theater, bars, and is not far at all from other great towns. This wasn't a ski trip for us, but we never ran out of things to do. Yes, it was expensive and might not have fully felt like it was worth the price with all of the surprises, but we had an amazing time and we also got engaged over this weekend in this teeny tiny little teepee tent so my heart is full of love and 5 stars for everyone.

From 3pm to 7pm snacks and La Colombe coffee beverages of all types are available with chocolates, cookies, dried fruits or nuts and candies. Coffee and biscotti are available from 7:30am till 10am in the morning. The staff is composed of four lovely women whose names all begin with the letter A. There are also s'more kits supplied to be made in multiple fire-pits at your leisure by the creek. Recommendations from dining, shopping, hikes or some great live music are given by this great staff. If you are looking for a relaxing stay at extremely reasonable rates that are less than two hours from New York City The Woodstock Way Hotel is the perfect choice.

The cabin we selected included a queen bed, a table for two, a small kitchenette, bathroom, and AC. The outdoor space was really the highlight, featuring hanging lights, a picnic table, a firepit with three bundles of wood, and a hammock. Check-in was done virtually, with a code texted to your phone. When we entered the cabin, we were greeted with a personal note, a box to store away phones, and a snack package that included a s'mores kit. The cabin itself was small but had all the essentials. They really encourage disconnecting from technology. There's no TV, and they provide a designated box to put your phones away so you can be more present in nature. That said, I was happy to see there is Wi-Fi available if you need it. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the firepit and relaxing in the hammock. It felt peaceful, cozy, and different from our usual getaways. This was a completely novel experience for us and one we would absolutely do again!

Somewhere after 1am, we scrambled down the hill from their cabin to ours, and I nodded off to sleep appreciating a symphony of sounds, both familiar and not: the quiet crackle of burning logs in our cabin's small fireplace, the creak of the stove as it heated, the rustle of tree branches outside our drafty window, and the patter of rain on the roof. Camptown offers a pretty special kind of experience in the Hudson Valley. It's a delightful alternative to the sparse overpriced hotels or AirBnBs with excessive cleaning fees. Essentially, you're glamping in cabins, but with some classy bonus amenities, including a sauna, help-yourself canteen, and shared firepit. As a bonus, Casa Susanna is their on-premise restaurant, and this James Beard semifinalist is undeniably award-worthy. These aren't the most glamorous luxury cotttages you might find, but I felt their prices were absolutely reasonable for what you get. And the service was really top-notch. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly and responsive, even coming by to help us light our fireplace when we struggled to figure out how on our own. It's great to know Camptown is a solid housing option in the area -- and I genuinely can't think of anywhere else I'd rather stay if I'm visiting this part of the Hudson Valley.

CONCEPT: Camptown Catskills is a restored motor lodge (formerly Rip Van Winkle Motel). The restoration reinforces the vintage charm of the 26 log cabins, and 24 rooms. The complex feels like an adult camp experience of sorts, with wooden chairs around a fire pit, exterior pool with bar, scattered wooden picnic tables, books to read, and a dining lodge (Cafe Susanna). Forgot something or don't want to leave the complex? There is a pantry filled with goodies such as s'mores kits and refrigerated cans of craft beer. Camptown Catskills an ideal destination to relax and explore. AMBIANCE: The complex is evocative of the region, with native plants and trees lining narrow pathways to the cabins and outdoor facilities. Cabins have a mix of original and mid-century-inspired fixtures, furniture, and surfaces (e.g. linoleum flooring, wide pine paneled walls and ceilings). The work of local craftspeople can be found throughout the complex. EXPERIENCE: The receptionist in the lobby reviewed all the complex's features, and provided a paper map for reference. Metal keys with leather evergreen tree cut outs were provided, adding to the mid-20th century experience. As we walked towards the log cabin the smell of the fire pit permeated the air, and set the tone for a relaxing weekend in the Catskills. Chairs on the porch of the cabin allowed further enjoyment of the distance fire pit and surrounding Hudson Valley landscape. Complementing this, an upholstered dining nook and a seating area can be found inside. The bathroom was supplied with handcrafted soap and custom woodsy-scented shampoos in the shower. Numerous windows with drapes surrounded the pine wood-lined cabin, inviting streams of sunlight throughout the day. TIPS: Cafe Susanna, located in the main building, offers breakfast on the weekends only. Gracie's, a popular diner just down the road, is an attractive option on weekdays, offering guests views of the Catskill Creek that flows below. To fully embrace all things Catskills, consider visiting Olana, the former estate of a Hudson River School painter Frederick Church; the former home of his mentor, Thomas Cole; the vistas they captured via the Hudson River's Skywalk; and Kaaterskill Falls. Several electric vehicle charging stations are located in one of the parking areas. Coffee is served in the lobby in the morning.
