Here's the thing - if you're turned off by all the agents who are so....agent-y - Abbe is the agent for you. She's incredibly chill in all the important ways to keep all parties calm during the process, but then like a gazelle in getting shit done right. Super smart, an artist at heart, but an equally adept businessperson. You want to hang with her outside of the whole real estate thing, and you trust her opinion. That's magic. Abbe and her team helped us buy our first home in Mt. Washington in 2016, with an FHA loan at that. Through the process, we looked at several stinkers and Abbe never, ever tried to convince us that something not good was actually good. She's totally cool with Redfin stalkers like me, but also really good at finding properties if you're not into obsessively waiting for tiny green rectangles to pop up on the map. Early on in our hunt, she showed us an awesome pocket listing. Because we were dumb and new to the market, we passed on it. A month later we were kicking ourselves. Another month later we had found the home we live in now. It is a testament to her that she never pressured us into anything, and she let the whole thing shake out naturally and on our terms. While in escrow, lots of things happened - Donald Trump was elected president, the sewer line needed to be replaced, etc. - and despite our neurotic worrying over it all, Abbe kept her cool and kept us sane.
