We recently had a Blaze King wood burning stove installed. The people in the office were very helpful. They helped us decide on the stove and the options based what we were looking for and city codes. I can't say enough about the installation crew. They were friendly, respectful, and protected our floors and furniture. They were able to modify the placement of the stove from the wall to the corner. I highly recommend them!

Could not be anymore dissatisfied with this service. The staff is rude and unhelpful. We were told that the installers would be able to take care of everything involved in installation of the fireplace and surround, and they were not. Then, the installers (though professional upon first installation) did not install the four sided surround that i asked for, and was told I was going to receive, and paid for. Upon questioning why we didn't receive the service that we were paying for, a staff member complained about the attitude they were receiving from us. Next, (because it only gets better from here, folks), I emailed their office personnel not once, but twice before I received a response. I gave them two options: either give me the product/service that I was paying for, or give me back my deposit and pick up your equipment. They responded almost a month later offering to fix it. Then two weeks after that (now a month and a half after it was supposed to have been installed correctly the first time), the installers came back. They came back unprepared and cutting metal freehand in my yard, as you can see in the pictures below. The work was sloppy, and the effort was minimal. Overall, this company is generally disappointing. No one seems to really know what they're doing, and the services that they offer are suffering because of that. I would NOT recommend going through them if you would like a professional experience.

The technician that came fiddled around and stated he could not find the issue. I looked it over and saw the battery box was deformed with the piezo lighter, due to an inadequate heat shield. He next claimed this was a specialty part. I informed he they were a standard part on all stoves and easily ordered, if they did not have any in stock. While I was busy unloading boxes he disconnected the battery box with circuit board and drove away. He never followed up with my stove part he took and I ordered a replacement on Amazon and installed it myself. This is the most irresponsible and incompetent stove service technician I have ever met. He was not aware I previously had a stove shop.

It suddenly stopped working, so I reached out to a few companies. Whidbey Heating & Stoves stood out as the most responsive and easiest to communicate with. When Isaac arrived, he was not only friendly and respectful, but he also took the initiative to put on booties, lay down a protective cloth, and start assessing the issue right away. He quickly identified the problem, provided a solution, and took care of everything efficiently. To top it off, he left the place cleaner than he found it! With employees like Isaac, I highly recommend Whidbey Heating & Stoves. I'm also looking forward to replacing the unit in the future with one of their recommendations.

We also service much of Seattle and surrounding areas. Our business philosophy is simple: if we take good care of our customers, our customers will take good care of us. With a focus on being members of the community, we believe that honesty, integrity, and fairness in pricing are the best policies. We don't just want to be an appliance repair company, we want to be the company you think of anytime you need repairs or advice on one of your appliances. When you reach out to us, we will begin gathering information on your appliance to make the process as quick and painless as possible. Usually a technician will need to come to your home to diagnose the issue before ordering parts, there is a $50 trip charge for this diagnostic visit, but that charge gets deducted from your labor if you move forward with the repair. We do not charge a diagnostic fee on top of labor and there is no additional trip charge for the second visit, meaning you only pay one labor charge or one trip charge, never both, and there are no hidden fees. Once the technician has assessed the cost of parts and labor all you need to do is approve the repair and we'll take care of the rest. We'll move quickly to get your parts from a local distributor, set up a return appointment, and get your issue resolved ASAP.

I had Barron install a new 96% efficient furnace and AC system. There were some positives to the…read moreexperience, but there were also several details that left me disappointed, especially considering the cost of a full HVAC installation. The installation team reconnected vents to the master and guest bedrooms and repaired a crushed return line, which I appreciated. However, I noticed the repaired return had multiple unsealed screw holes. While I can seal the visible holes myself with silicone, I have no way of knowing if there are additional leaks on top of the ductwork that I cannot see. More importantly, sealing those penetrations should have been completed as part of the installation. They actually sealed the seams where the old meets the repair. Prior to the installation, we discussed running the refrigerant lines adjacent to the existing HVAC chase. Instead, the lines were run on the opposite side of the hallway and continue through the middle of the laundry room. It's not the end of the world, and the system still functions, but it creates a much bigger challenge to conceal the lines and significantly lowers the ceiling in that area. I was also instructed to pour a concrete pad with minimum dimensions of 18" x 36", so I went above and beyond and poured a 24" x 40" pad to provide extra room. During installation, I was told the actual required dimensions were 36" x 36", which resulted in the installer placing a foam pad over the concrete pad. This could have been avoided with more accurate communication upfront. To bring the new system up to code, two vents needed to penetrate my single-membrane roof. Prior to performing the roof penetrations, Barron informed me that they were not qualified to seal the penetrations. While I appreciate the transparency, this information came only after I had already paid a 50% deposit and committed to the project. This left me responsible for finding and hiring another contractor to complete a very small roofing job. Finding someone willing to take on such a minor project has been frustrating, and two weeks later I am still waiting for the penetrations to be properly sealed. I understand that HVAC contractors may not perform specialized roofing work, but this should have been identified during the estimating process so the project could have been properly planned and coordinated before I committed to the installation. Overall, the equipment appears to be good, and there were aspects of the installation that were done well. However, the lack of communication, attention to detail, and coordination between trades turned what should have been a straightforward HVAC replacement into a frustrating experience.

Per my wife, Barron's website advertises that they can replace knob-and-tube wiring. When she…read moreasked for an estimate, she was told that they cannot do knob-and-tube wiring replacement and to contact an electrical contractor.
