We've had this company for years! But! A blower motor went bad. It happens. But now they say entire AC needs replaced. Because as they say, they can't get the parts. Wrong. They blame it on the companies are all busy... back orders... or the other one you hear " it'll come from China and take months to get" Wrong! It took 20 minutes to find an exact match from about three hours away!!! ALL THEY ARE INTERESTED IN IS SELLING AN ENTIRE UNIT. The cost, $8500 bucks! $8500 bucks. AND better yet, they admit ITS STILL UNDER WARRANTEE!!!!! You gotta be kidding' me! We bought the warrantee- you should do the repair. I understand, the part... Bla, Bla, Bla. I checked. MADE IN USA! And so after repeated calls to Hearth & Home, and messages left. No reply. (No surprise). I called and left message for operation manager. Here is the reply.... Same story.... " Well, I have looked into your service history. You are in need of a blower motor. All the Maytag dealers in our region no longer provide or handle warranty parts. So we have to go direct to Nortek Global, provider of Maytag HVAC products. You can imagine how overrun they are handling warranty since nearly all dealers dropped them with good reason. Last we spoke with them your motor was on back order and they could not offer an ETA. I will reach out to them and see if they have any updates. Hopefully encouraging news. Thank You, Rick Salazar Operations Manager Hearth and Home Heating and Cooling Mr. Fireplace Patio and Spa 3351 w. I was charged $149.00 to come out. I did not need a capacitor my old one was fine. they recommended a new capacitor 30 second to install. They charged me $200.00 for the capacitor. Capacitors cost $10.00. They said I need a new fan motor. New fan motors cost $100.00 and take 30 minutes to install. They quoted me $699.00. Another grossly overcharge. This is a terrible way to run a business. Businesses like these are built by referral. I would not ever use this company again or refer them to anyone. read more

Hearth and Home Warranty Ripoff! Heath and Home installed a very expensive, over $6000 system in 2014. Fast forward to April 13,2020....My how things have changed with this company...and NOT for the good! So this expensive system Hearth and Home installed, the compressor failed recently after 6 years. Since it had a 10 year warranty we thought we would be treated kindly and fairly. Instead what we got was an insane quote of $1514.00 for labor and Freon to replace the compressor!! We were shocked! And something just did not pass the smell test with this quote. So I called 3 other places All Brevard, 321, and Advantage Air and they all confirmed that yes you do need to cover the labor and Freon cost on a compressor warranty but all 3 of them quoted prices between $600-700.00 for this, less than 1/2 of what these ripoff artists at Hearth and Home were trying to charge us! This is so disappointing how we are treated as a previous customer and with money very tight now with my wife out of work to due to COVID19. Oh, on top of all this we had to pay a $99 service call...all the other companies were much less. We were not even a customer of All Brevard who we decided to let them do the warranty work. They charged only a $60 service call. They also said Hearth and Home diagnoses was also incomplete and showed us how the fan was also burnt out. They replaced the fan, the compressor and all the fluids for $700, less than 1/2 of Hearth and Home. These people are thieves and we highly recommend that people stay way clear of this company. You will not be treated fairly when it comes to your warranty work. Never again will we deal with them. All Brevard, you have a new lifelong customer! read more

Purchased a home where the entire A/C unit (about 3 years old) was installed and also supposedly "maintained" by Hearth, and was paid as such with the maintenance plan. As the previous home owner lived primarily in another state, it was clear that the maintenance was probably a "show up" call at best. Shortly after purchasing the home, it was clear that there were questions about the original A/C unit installation that was done, as the unit tray would continually fill with water and auto shut off. We paid for an emergency tech to get it up and running on the initial call, and after we found out it was Hearth that had been the installer, and maintained the unit, we contacted them, and they had to come out no less than 6 times in a manner of 3 months! One time it was twice on the same day. Once one of the solutions was finally diagnosed as needing an auxiliary pump to drain the water out on a constant basis, the unit seemed to be fine for about a month and a half. Just recently we have now found out that two major parts need to be replaced as the temperature in the house wouldn't decrease to what it was set at. Fortunately, it is under warranty and when questioning why we are continually having issues, the AC manufacturer and another HVAC company stated that a lot of it most likely stemmed from the initial installation. When this was repeated and asked to clarify with Hearth-the office "manager" Corrine was EXTREMELY RUDE and hung up on us! We called back and asked to speak with the owner, and the same thing happened! He actually spoke in a degrading tone to me as a woman, and TOTALLY was disrespectful. This review could go on and on, but bottom line, we would NEVER have them in our home again, because of the way we were treated by the OFFICE. The one good thing they have going for them is that the service techs were very courteous in the "6!" times they had to come out. Fortunately for us, we have easily located a reputable York Certified HVAC Company to do the repair and fix the unit correctly. Clearly, it doesn't matter if you have been in business for "37" years as we were told over the phone by them if you don't treat your customers with respect or can diagnose and fix the issue from the start. I will note that they refunded our maintenance and last service call fee (we paid all of the rest). ** We are expecting a nasty rebuttal to this review, it will just further confirm and demonstrate minimally how we were treated by the owner and the office over the phone. CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY. read more

Loved that they showed up in a mask which is terribly important to us given the current pandemic situation. The young man fixed the problem, explained what was wrong, what I can do in the future to help prevent it recurring and he was extremely kind and knowledgeable. We were extremely pleased, but we always are with H&H which is why we have continued to return to them for help for many years now. read more

I had a 20 year old trane system in my house. I had one incident with it and had hearth and home come out to fix it. I decided because of the age of the system to have a new system installed. Hearth and Home installed the inside and outside units brand new. Everything seemed fine at first and then every 6 months for the first 2 years the system would no cool or would not turn on. It was always a different problem. They came out a couple of times and put a bandaid on it till it would happen again. Then after a year they asked if I wanted to by an extended warranty from them for service calls. I asked them how many new units they have to visit every 6 months for repairs and the employee didn't give an answer. I finally called Able Air to come out since I have lost all trust in Hearth and Home's abilities. They found that I had a leak in the system and repaired it. I haven't had a problem since. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!! These reviews are here for a reason! read more

I have been using Heath and Home since moving to the area. I haven't had any of the problems that others have. Being on the yearly maintenance contract means that when anything goes wrong, they come out right away. I have been satisfied with their service. read more

THE WORST AC COMPANY IN MELBOURNE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! The owner quoted me all sorts of additions like cleanings, maintenance, and duct work and didn't follow through after we paid them! They took the money and never finished the job. read more

we are so so not happy with this company. the people are overworked. the customer service is not forthright. rick the manager will say the right thing, but do what he wants and so does the owner and the receptionist will back them. if you have no issues then it may work out. our new air conditioner had issues. finally we called barker and they explained and fixed everything happily as customer service should be. we are so pleased with them (barker). even if our air conditioner breaks down we can go through barker which suits us just fine...as rheem conditioners are guaranteed. clearly a one star service program. they simply don't care to do the right thing. read more

Below is a detailed account of the situation, including the timeline, agreements, and subsequent issues: Timeline and Agreements Initial Quote and Agreement: On 5 February 2025, Climate Experts provided a quote for installing a customer-supplied water heater. The quote explicitly stated: "The replacement water heater can be installed either in the attic space where the existing one currently is (provided it fits in the attic access), or it can be installed in the garage. Either location, pricing valid for either.", "*Installation includes all required wiring & water lines." Pictures and requested information were provided by my realtor to assist in preparing the quote. Additional detailed pictures of the house layout were available online via the property listing. I signed the quote on 7 February 2025 and paid $2,150 on 9 February 2025. Tech Visit and Refusal to Install: The technician arrived at the property and stated that the supplied water heater could not be installed in the attic due to its hybrid nature, weight concerns, and potential condensation issues. I requested that the water heater be installed in the garage, as explicitly stated in the signed quote. When I called iAire, they immediately confirmed the sensor is not proprietary and that generic replacements are compatible. These are cheap and widely available online. Ranger told us they were not comfortable working on our unit and that we would need to find someone else. I'm frustrated that this was not communicated upfront, especially after we waited days in the Florida heat for answers. If the company is unwilling to service smaller brands or use generic parts, they should have told us during the initial visit instead of leaving us in limbo. When I tried to express any dissatisfaction with the situation, their phone rep repeatedly interrupted and talked over me, and I could barely get a sentence out. When I spoke with my fiancé later, he told me he had been treated the same way. I'm not happy with the poor communication, lack of service, and unwillingness to listen. They took our money and dropped us, gave us a headache, and now we will have to pay someone else to come and fix the issue. This was really poor customer service. They justified this by blaming everything on our "cheap, offbrand" unit and have made no attempt to make things right with us. They have not stood behind their own values. You can see from their responses to upset reviewers that they do not take ownership when they let their customers down and find any way to shift the responsibility for their mistakes. Shameful. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

11/11/2019 - Hearth & Home did the scheduled maintenance contract check-up of my unit. Did their usual efficient and cordial job. 5 stars. 5/20-22/2019 - Decided it was time to replace the AC system for my condo. Sachen Singh did an excellent job of preparing the estimate. He determined what was necessary (roof condenser) and what wasn't (air handler) and came in at a competitive price. Robert Benedetto did a great installation, including a new zinc anode and an excellent job of applying corrosion protection (disassembled the unit and spray coated the inside and outside of the condenser coils and vanes). I really appreciate his attention to detail. Both employees were cordial and truly interested in doing a good job. Hearth & Home continues to get a 5 star rating. 11/2018 - Had Hearth & Home out to service our AC. Jeremy did an excellent job of checking things out including putting cleaner followed by wash water into the drain system and hosing off the room-top unit. He also did a good job of answering questions. Very pleased with the service and continue to rate this company 5 stars. 3/2018 - I had Hearth & Home out today to service a vibration problem with our air conditioner and also do the bi-annual check-up that's part of our maintenance contract. Sam was very pleasant to work with. He explained everything he was doing and answered all our questions. The unit is now working great and without the vibration problem we had been experiencing. Hands down, this is the BEST COMPANY I have ever dealt with. My AC system leaked water all over the garage floor this weekend. I called Hearth and Home thinking I could leave a message and they would call back on Monday. However, when I called today (Sunday), someone answered the phone! The answering service took all the information and within a few minutes, the service manager called me back to say a technician would be here today. The technician, Angel, arrived at the specified time and quickly found the problem. He corrected the problem, cleaned the system, and ensured it was draining correctly. I couldn't be happier with Hearth and Home. They came out on a Sunday, corrected the problem, and I didn't have to pay anything since I had purchased a maintenance plan from them. I am writing on my boyfriends account for yelp but thought it should be known what great service this company provided. Kevin was out of town and the ac went out, I knew nothing about what was wrong with it only that it was not working! I called 2 companies to give me estimates (NOW I know, no ones gives free estimates for repairs) However this company because I was a new customer gave me a huge discount. Their tech showed up on time and took the time to explain in layman's terms how the ac needed to be fixed and how much longer it would last. Knowing it would have been better to replace it at the time but my budget did not allow for it then. When I can afford to replace it, I will definitely use Hearth & Home and their wonderful service techs and friendly office staff. Highly Recommend !!!!! :) Sincerely, Rebecca read more

We had a replacement RHEEM heating/cooling system installed in May 2017 by another contractor. After two months, the installer was contacted when the system stopped performing. The details are not trivial, but the company that warranties any labor for repairs for one year was doing everything it possibly could to avoid any cost to them, leaving us without a functional system for nearly a week. Frustrated with the situation, we call Hearth and Home. They dispatched a technician within an hour. Sam diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes of arrival. The coil was leaking. He was able to replace the coil (a warranty part) and have our system operational before the end of the day. We have enrolled in the Hearth and Home Maintenance Plan and will entrust all future work to the company who fixed our new RHEEM system. read more

Replacing an air conditioner is not something most people look forward to but Hearth and Home made the process a smooth one. Earlier this summer our old Trane unit began to have issues on several occasions. Each service call was prompt and professional as they attempted extend the life of the unit as long as posible. Last week we made the decision to replace it and as usual, service was great. We received several bids from other companies in town and Hearth and Home quoted us the best price by far. During the install Stephen and Matt were awesome and very knowledgeable every time I stepped into the garage to ask questions. We're very happy with the new unit and have peace of mind choosing Hearth and Home Highly recommend ! read more

We recently relocated to Melbourne and needed a new air conditioning system for our house and my husband told me to get 3 estimates. I called 3 companies to give me a price and only one showed up, but was over an hour late and his truck leaked oil all over our driveway! Not Happy. I found Hearth and Home on Angie's List and they had an A-Rating and the reviews were impressive. The office was great and the technician showed up on time and was so professional...I couldn't believe it. Uniformed, New Van -- NO LEAKS on our driveway. Jeremy came to my home last week to service my HVAC System , Jeremy was very Professional , Knowledgeable and Courteous while at my home . He did an excellent job inside & out cleaning & servicing my unit . If in the future I have any Questions or Problems with my HVAC Unit and need to call Hearth & Home I will insist that Jeremy be the tech that comes out to make any repairs or does the service on my unit . my a/c failed the day I came home from the hospital a few years ago in the middle of summer. Hearth&Home came out right away. they told me that my a/c was shot. we knew it was very old and had not been working well. They stay on my service twice per year. They call me when it's due to schedule that service. Yesterday Angel came out to do my service and was wonderful, I think this was the second time he has serviced my system. he was on time friendly and full of information. since I've had my new system it has cut my power bill more than $200.00 dollars per month. Will in the office was so helpful getting my appt corrected when we had a snafu on the "am/pm" issue on my original time. So happy he sent Jeremy Sorum out today. He was able to teach me so much about how my fireplace is best maintained for safety and function. I had a noise in my unit. Called you people because you have done all the work on my unit for the past 10 years...Shawn came out and took one look at it and new it was the drain was blocked. He ran some water through it and the noise went away..Well it came back but instead of calling Shawn back I spent about an hour and it stopped again. I did have my unit checked before sumer..Now 130.00 to run water in my over flow seemed a little high for a loyal customer..Thank you Shawn for showing me what to do...steve Ryder read more

I am always impressed by service. I have been with the company for 20 years- I'm on my 2nd unit because beachside corrosion is a thing. But they give the best maintenance program with the best recommendations. They never try to upsell - and Jeremy Sorum has been a great resource- please give him a raise. He also helped out a disabled veteran by taking used furniture that would have otherwise gone to the dump. Sometimes I think competitors post these crazy negative reviews. I did my research and found this company on Angies List. They are an A Rated Company with 2 Super Service Awards and literally hundreds of 4 Star ratings. I called them to give me a quote on a new heat pump. All I can say is this company exceeded my expectations in every way. I purchased a Rheem system and my electric bill decreased by 50%. I would encourage anyone to check out angies list reviews as they are SCREENED AND VALIDATED. read more

We had to have our A/C unit checked for a specific problem. The filters were black when I changed them and we just had the ducts cleaned. Jeremy Sorum, Sr. service technician came to our home to check our system and almost immediately new what the problem was. He serviced the a/c for us and was very knowledgeable and professional. We would gladly have him service our A/C--heating system again, when needed. read more
