AC complete failure on Sunday. Tech checked it out and determined it was toast. I agreed. Within 24 hours we had a complete new system. Install techs were great. Working in hot conditions got the new system running in under 8 hours. Very thorough and professional. Nice job. read more

I will be leaving out emotion or opinions in this review until my conclusions at the end. I'll leave it up to the reader to determine what they would do in a similar situation. 1. 12/14/2020 - New Trane AC system (air handler and condensing unit) installed by Weather Engineers (WE) along with additional 10 year parts and labor warranty. Was advised it was better than the Carrier system I had for 12 years. 2. 09/03/2023 - Called WE due to condensing unit not working but air handler still running. Was embarrassed when I had to pay $139 for them to reset the circuit breaker to get it running again. 3. 09/04/2023 - Had to call WE again when circuit breaker tripped again. Went over entire system and was advised it wasn't their problem and I should call electrician 4. 09/08/2023 - Tried replacing circuit breaker. Didn't solve the problem as resetting the circuit breaker became my go-to option over the next few months. 5. 12/14/2023 - Normal $99 maintenance completed. Advised tech that breaker trips at least once a month. 6. 05/13/2024 - Finally decided to call electrician after another reset incident. Paid $1723 to have a 45 amp breaker installed along with new wiring, an upgrade from the 40 amp that worked on previous Carrier unit. 7. 05/23/2024 - Breaker tripped again. Paid another $95 to have system checked and there were NO ISSUES. They advised I pay another $136 for a Start Capacitor to kick start the compressor. Refused that suggestion. 8. 12/10/2024 - Normal $99 maintenance. Advised tech that breaker was still tripping. 9. 03/27/2025 - Temperature inside house was 78 degrees and went to reset the breaker, but it would snap off each time I tried. Called WE at 5pm then 6pm and didn't get a response. 10. 03/28/2025 - Two days no AC. Service tech showed up at 4pm and after 30 minutes told me the compressor was grounded and it would take 2-3 days to replace. Paid another $95 for service call. 11. 03/31/2025 - 5 days with no AC. Inside house was 80 degrees. Called at 9:30 since I didn't hear anything and was told the part was ordered and they didn't have a delivery date as yet. WE salesman didn't return my call. Called Trane customer support as advised by WE. 12. 04/01/2025 - Six days with no AC. No word from Trane. I received a call from Nathan at WE. They were working hard to find a compressor since the one that was ordered had a delivery date of 4/29/2025. The first time I heard there was an actual delivery date 13. 04/02/2025 - Seven days no AC and still 80 degrees inside house. Wooden floor by sliders starting to buckle, purchased dehumidifier for $125. Still no delivery date. Nathan said its their #1 priority. I asked about scavenging another compressor from a different unit and then replacing that with the one ordered for me and was told no. I asked to give me another condensing unit and was told no. 14. 04/04/2025 - Nine days no AC. Nathan called around 2pm to tell me they finally found a compressor, but it was in northern Georgia and wouldn't be delivered until Tuesday the 8th. I asked if it could be dropped shipped to my house as I would be home all weekend. Was told no since they had to sign for it. A second weekend with no AC and temps in the 80's. 15. 04/07/2025 - 12 days no AC. 10am Nathan called to tell me they didn't have the compressor yet and were not sure where it was. He would get back to me when he knew something. 16. 04/07/2025 - Received email from Trane telling me they would be looking into my issue and getting back to me in 5 days. 17. 04/07/2025 - 3:40pm tech arrived, with no notice, and said he was there to replace my unit. 3:55pm, Nathan advised me that the compressor was lost (?) so he decided to get me a loaner condenser unit (See notes from 4/2) and repair our unit when part came in. 18. 04/14/2025 - Trane emailed to say the unit is arriving on 4/14. 19. 04/15/2025 - 12pm Tech showed up with no prior notice to swap the units. Luckily, we were home. Also, Nathan did change the compressor and coils, which are very expensive, at no charge and didn't charge for the coolant which I heard was expensive also. So basically I have a brand new condenser unit and hopefully will not have anymore problems. My conclusion: Never buy Trane equipment again. As you can see from their customer support, it's pretty much non-existent. After Googling what causes AC circuit breakers to trip, basically its either maintenance, which I have done every year, or the compressor going bad. I don't think that was properly diagnosed by WE and cost me over $2,000 between service calls and an electrician. read more

On the evening of Saturday, April 5th our A/C stopped cooling. I called Weather Engineers Sunday morning and one of their technicians, Evon Gushman came out and fixed the problem. It was nice to see a familiar face as he has been with this company for years. He explained everything to us and was very courteous and professional. Told me I need all new duct work, new wiring, filled my unit with refrigerant that needed to be drained a week later. Estimate came in over $4k. Another company fixed the problem -- the thermostat, drained the harmful refrigerant that Weather Engineers added, did maintenance and tune-up for under $500. I called for a detailed explanation of the estimate several times but Weather Engineers would not send it because is was so over-the-top and b.s. read more

I would recommend Weather Engineers for any refrigeration or air conditioning issue that you may have in the future... It was such a relief to find a company that was first very knowledgeable, honest and concerned about our air conditioning issue... The folks at Weather Engineers fixed our problem on the first try for $145.00... We had three other local A/C companies out over the past month and they could not solve the issue but still had no problem charging us hundreds of dollars each time they tried... All of these other companies told us that we would need to spend between $5,000.00-$8,000.00 for an entire new system, I called Weather Engineers to get a quote from them as well on a new unit, not only did they beat all of the other quotes by thousands of dollars for the exact same units, the owner (Nathan) said let me just make sure that's really what you need to do.. They sent a professional technician out late at night, he had the issue diagnosed and repaired in a little over an hour including replacing the wrong parts that one of those other companies had installed on an earlier service call. They passed up a sale of a new unit to us for a simple $145.00 repair when others just said replace the unit.. They have earned our business for life and they will yours too!! We called them late this morning, and by early afternoon, the problem was diagnosed, options presented for our review, and our new AC was up and running. From the VP Nathan, to the technicians Kevin, Matt, and Bill, this not only is a top notch team, but also one of integrity. Their professionalism and knowledge are quite evident, and the courtesy they provided us was a breath of fresh air. Their genuine empathy regarding our situation made us feel more like family rather than customers. To add to all these great things, the price we were quoted was half of what we had expected. Kudos and a very grateful Thank you to tech Casey. Casey arrived Sat. 4/8/17 within a short time of our call. After a very brief explanation, within 5 minutes of arrival Casey diagnosed our no heat issue. He climbed upon our roof and found the rain-cap was plugging our vent pipe, this caused the pipe to separate inside our home . Apparently, when we had our new roof installed the week of Thanksgiving 2017, the rain-cap had been broken off and a roofer just tarred it and jammed it onto the vent pipe. This action caused carbon monoxide fumes to back up into our home. Thankfully, our furnace's flue pipe safety kept shutting the furnace down. Couldn't be happier with Weather Engineers! The tech was at our house, on a Friday afternoon, within hours and had the problem diagnosed quickly. He was very nice and personable and thoroughly explained the issue. He would be able to repair it - but it was really time to replace the unit. We knew that already and agreed. Nathan called us shortly after with an estimate and gave us options on brands, size and seer. He was helpful in the decision process and very patient while we decided on our new unit. He had it overnight shipped and we were shocked how quickly it was installed! I got a text on Saturday morning that our unit had been loaded on the truck and the techs were on their way. The techs (Bill and Matt) were fantastic! They had our new unit in and running in a few hours and went above beyond- even replacing the air handler box and painting it for us. Everything was cleaned up better than expected. It looked perfect. They even had the patience to help me program my phone to the blue tooth thermostat. That's serious customer service! I'd highly recommend Weather Engineers to anyone with A/C issues. read more

Can't say enough good things about weather engineers, our salesman sean was excellent to deal with I had to replace a old unit in my moms condo in melbourne and me living in miami was a challenge i called 7 companies and sean at weather engineers was the only one who took the time to explain things to me and my mother over the phone..
