I started my hynotherapy with Elizabeth Valdez yesterday, and my goodness what an experience. I have struggled with Emetaphobia/Anxiety issues since I was a child, and I have bounced around from doctor-to-doctor, psychologist-to-psychologist without any real progression. I would like to start by saying that I wasn't the One one who needed the therapy but I was the one who paid for the therapy for my sister-in-law $1050.00 Back in May 18, 2020 after contacting so many therapists I decided to go with Elizabeth because of the good reviews she had and because after I talked to her she made it seem that she would take care of my sister-in-law that same week we did the intake. Knowing we were in the middle of COVID-19 she still assure she would take her by the end of the week, she was the nicest person till I paid her, after that she completely turn into a person who made it seem I was asking for her service for free. So many other therapist told me from the get go that they were not taking appointments in person and I needed to wait, while Elizabeth told us the total opposite. And that's why I decided to pick her. I decided to text her on May 28, 2020 almost two weeks had passed asking her when she would take my sister-in-law in her office and she totally went off in my the next day she text me, she send me a photo of a thermometer of 103 degrees stating that she was having a fever almost every day and that me asking her when she would take my sister in-law was just getting her worst. She didn't mention nothing at all about been sick when we talked and made the agreement on May 18 2020, but after she had pocket my $1050 she was sick and I was making her feeling worst by asking her when she would take her in. I was clear that I needed my sister in-law to get help ASAP because once she would be back to work she wouldn't be able to go to no therapy. That's exactly what happen she was able to go to one therapy she's back at work and she won't be able to go to no other session and that's the reason why I was clear with her and she promise not to worry she would take her in ASAP but those were just words only 1 session got done and she pocket $1050 and that's it, definitely she's the worst unprofessional therapist I have ever talked to. She took her in till June 12 this is how I proved she wasn't so sick because on Friday June 12th that she took her in she was running 15 minutes late and NOT even had a Face Mask on, if she was so sick like she stated she was, she should had worry about her client that she needed to be covered. I had gone to the my regular doctor to get medicine for anxiety & stress. My doctor gave me an antidepressant. When I received my medicine I was more than disappointed. **HEADS UP! This will be a long review because I truly hope if you are reading this, you would give it a chance** There were a series of events that led me to Heartfelt Wellness's yelp page. I tried my best to find a solution but nothing seems to stick. I had quit my medication, tried meditating, hired a personal trainer, quit alcohol, and did the best to maintain happy. It worked for a couple of weeks until I started to feel "bad" again. Then I found Heartfelt Wellness on Yelp. I read the reviews and it sounded wonderful. Yeah, I thought it was too good to be true too but at that point I knew I had to try everything. I set up an appointment for Thursday morning (just this past Thursday!) and wrote to her "what I don't want" per her request. I listed several things and one thing that I knew I had to add was my anxiety to driving. I thought what better way to start my recovery then to first tackle the thing that limits me the most. I cannot drive on the freeway without panicking (cold sweat, heart pumping, feeling like a certain part of my brain doesn't work anymore and acting on compulsion without thinking). I can't even drive locally to places I am not familiar with. I always imagine an overcrowded parking lot, accidents, angry drivers, me causing an inconvenience, etc etc. My mind goes 100 mph if someone even asks if I wanted to go hang out at a place I didn't know exactly how to get to. I will keep the process of the therapy private but share instead the incredible thing that happened that evening. It was as if the world was letting me know therapy is working. I was suppose to meet a group of friends for dinner and one of my friends was suppose to take me. She ran late and there was about 10-15 min to spare till it was the time we had set to meet up. I told her that we should just meet there and without a second thought, instead of calling for a Lyft, I grabbed my car keys and turned on Google Map. I had made a wrong turn along the way but somehow did not freak out. That was great but the cherry on top was what happened after dinner. My friend had wanted to grab tea (the same one that was going to pick me up for dinner as she knew of my fear) and asked that I follow her to the destination. Somehow she had forgotten I didn't take freeway and went on the ramp! I had followed her onto it, confident and feeling safe. My heart still thumped but it wasn't to a point where I wanted to cry from the fear. It was an amazing feeling. The best part is that none of them knew I did hypnotherapy so the whole coincidence blew my mind. While writing this, I am preparing to drive myself to another location tomorrow. After decades of traditional therapy left me still struggling to cope with everyday life and maintaining healthy boundaries as a result of childhood abuse and neglect. Well where do I begin? I was searching for someone to help me with some very serious rare medical issue. I was diagnosed in May 2014 with a rare kidney disease that makes my body swell excessively. I have went through very powerful drug treatments which did not work and now I am under going Chemo. From all of the medications they had given me, they really made me worse. I know that I needed to have a balance of Medical and Homeopathic treatments. I found Liz on the web and it was not by chance but part of my destiny to have her cross my path in life. I was referred to Liz by a close friend after disclosing to her i was feeling blue and in a weird down funk.
