They were thorough and did a phenomenal job, especially in their deep cleaning of the fridge, which the previous owner left in a terrible state. They were detailed job in their cleaning inside cabinets, which is so needed when you are first moving in. They were also so kind and professional! My only constructive feedback is around payment experience at the and the very large arrival window. Regarding the payment at the end: I would have loved to receive a receipt of some kind (email, text, etc.) showing the total number of minutes I was charged for at the end, before paying. Regarding the arrival window: I was told my team would arrive anytime between 8 am and 5 pm, which basically meant I had to block my schedule all day, decline work meetings, etc. so that I could leave my office and let the team in the house. Maid Brigade does allow you to call the morning of and receive a shorter arrival window of 2 hours, but by that point you've already had to block off your entire day to be on call. A more manageable arrival window of 2 hours would be much preferred. My previous housekeeper does not service my new area, but one of the things I loved most about her is that I could have her come within a one hour arrival window and better plan my day around the clean.

One of the cleaners managed to sneak out of my house and I had to stop the other one before she got out the door. She spoke very little english and then tried to blame everything on the other cleaner who didn't speak any english at all. She said that she thought the discarded items were "trash" and they both just stood there and conversed and laughed at me in Spanish while I tried frantically to fix the broken shelf in the refrigerator. The manager, Allysa Howe is ABLEIST and immediately accused me of lying because the cleaners had already told her a very different story claiming that the food and other items had "accidentally" fallen into the trash with dirty paper towels soaked with cleaning fluid and that the items were taken out and washed. I was actually the one who took the items out of the trash and food items cannot be washed. She is aware that I am a neurodivergent individual, so she believes I automatically lack credibility. She also claimed that because the food was taken out of the trash and washed, the matter is resolved. Since I am neurodivergent, I should have no problem eating food that has been in the trash. I explained that I am extremely impoverished and only get $24/month in food stamps and they threw away almost a weeks worth of food. They have no right to discard another person's property just because they think it is "trash". When you live in poverty, you eat food even if it is only partially edible and keep items that are broken as long as it still works. I am now left without an adequate food supply and a broken refrigerator that will cost 2 months worth of my mother's social security to replace. The manager's level of callousness and condescension are unlike anything I have ever experienced. SInce the cleaning fee is being funded through a third party payor which requires my approval, I am denying payment for their services since damages exceeded the cleaning costs. Laugh at me now. Horrible quality cleaners, should be deported; horribly unprofessional ABLEIST managerial staff, I was discriminated against because I am not an able-minded customer. This is unlike all the other negative reviews. Allysa Howe is now continuing to harass me and threaten me. Stay away from this company!
