It has been 20 years since I last saw an ENT. Ocala is weird and you "need" a referral for any type…read moreof specialist. I requested a referral from my Endo for an ENT due to issues with my ears and he referred me to this place. It was actually the only place my husband found on our insurance that was covered in Ocala. I will say, the one less star on the review is due to the scheduling. I initially called after receiving the referral and had a lot of trouble getting through. I received a call a week later, reaching out to make me an appointment but I did not have time to call back. They called maybe a week later stating this was the last time they were going to reach out because they reached out several times...Okay? Fun times, I tried calling a 3rd and 4th time with no success- because they source the calls through somewhere on the other side of the world! Wtf?? That was extremely frustrating and took up a lot of time. They were also very rude. Since I had no direction from the reps on the phone, I initially went to the wrong office. Upon entering, there was no one at the desk so I had to walk over to the check out area to inquire about the correct office, which she directed me to the correct one. Finally I get to the correct office and was given a clipboard of paperwork to complete. Luckily it was not extravagant. I was then told my copay was $195, again WTF! The associate mumbled what the charge was for but I still did not hear her. I guess I will wait for the EOB to double check. I was called into an exam room shortly after completing the paperwork by an assistant, to which she went over why I was there and completed the intake. She then did a quick check in my ears and informed me my right ear was completely blocked and the dr will be in shortly. Dr. Stephen Reynolds was the provider I was scheduled to see and he came in shortly after the assistant and introduced himself. Dr. Reynolds was professional and confirmed all the information gathered. He examined my nose and throat first, to which he informed me that I have deviated septum, which was news to me but made sense. When he got to my ears, he confirmed what the assistant said about my right ear being completely blocked. My endo put on the referral that I was having drainage issues, to which Dr. Reynolds informed me it was just an abundance of wax and everything else looked great, with no damage. I was so elated to hear this! Dr. Reynolds offered to see me in a year to check on my ears again, to which I agreed. I was then led to the checkout area and offered a seat to wait. Another employee checked me out and scheduled me for the following year. So far, my ears are better and the issues have not returned. Everyone was professional and everything was clean.
