Unfortunately, I never found Mr. Hayden in the few times I seen him from purchasing the hearing aids to picking them up and getting a few much-needed adjustments to be pleasant, thorough or informative at all and I always had to extract from him everything I needed and wanted to know so where all these 5 star reviews are coming from is just truly baffling to me. Never once in my purchase and with the 3 years manufacturer warranty was, I ever contacted for a Free cleaning, checkup or supplies by this establishment and every single time I contacted them about what I needed and was entitled to an unpleasant-bothering -them attitude was always presented so Customer Service they definitely don't excel in. The Final straw with Digital Hearing Systems, Mr. John Hayden & I was, he made me unbelievably & disgracefully go almost 2 years without a very much needed feature, which was in fact an option with my hearing aids, that caused me so much unneeded struggle & stress, especially at my job, that it was thankfully my brother who made me inquire about it on my Final Free checkup, which my brother in fact made me get, and it was very shamefully & disgracefully thankfully activated and is now helping me so much more with them. Took my Siemens hearing aids to have them repaired. 10 days later I asked them to call Siemens and…read moreask when I could expect them to come back. - lo and behold 15 minutes later they called and said they just came in. Went in and tried them on and they didn't work. The remote still didn't communicate with the left hearing aid which is why I brought them in in the first place. I noticed that the ear cups were still yellowed from use and exposure to ear wax, which is pretty normal. You would think that having been sent in for repair they would have replaced the ear cups. I left with the hearing aids which still did not work and the next day I went back to Beneficial Hearing Aids where I originally purchased the aids. My person there questioned why the ear cups were dirty and asked me if this was how they were returned to me. She got on the phone and called Siemens repair dept. and gave them the 2 serial numbers of my 2 hearing aids. They said these aids had never been sent in to them for repair. Light bulb goes on. Now I know why the ear cups were dirty - THEY WERE NEVER SENT IN FOR REPAIR AND WHY WHEN I CHECKED THEY MAGICALLY CAME IN 10 MINUTES AFTER I CALLED- THEY WERE THERE ALL ALONG. What a scam. I called back and said I was p****d off. The front desk clerk they were in the back and he would tell them what happened and would I like to be called back. I really wasn't interested in talking to them, but based on what happened you'd think they would like to attempt to vindicate themselves. No call back I'd stay away from these thieves like the plague Their commercials portray a company that cares not rips you off. STAY AWAY, USE ANOTHER COMPANY. I sure wish those owners who appear in commercials will read this review and comment back but I highly doubt it will happen.

For cataracts there are quite a few tests you must endure and everyone I encountered was happy to answer my inane questions (I nervous talk and ask dumb things just to fill the silence). Dr. Ireland could see how disappointed I was that the fancy Ferrari lenses would not work for me due to potential overlap with my LASIK scars being a hindrance rather than a help. She was able to offer a solution with a mid-range lens (neither far, nor near optimized, but mid-range vision like a computer screen). Because most of my work is done on a computer this was a good compromise. The wait after having eyes dilated is a bit longer. Bring something to occupy your time and you'll be fine. Or take a nap. At the time I had mine done I wasn't in my 50s, yet, and it was delightful to hear the other patients say, "but you're so young!" :D If you ever want to hear you're young, get arthritis and have cataracts before age 50, lol. Billing went smoothly. No issues there. I did have to pay a little extra for my Land Rover lenses versus the Corolla version. Be sure to ask more questions. I think I would have been fine with the Corolla (these are my layperson terms, not medical terms) and I should have inquired deeper, but as my mom still lives and breathes so too does she push for the "best" for me. Sometimes you have to ignore Mom, y'all. I'm not unhappy, but I will forever wonder if Corolla would have served me well. Aftercare was flawless. I am Well behind on my appointments due to life events (we all have Those things happen, right?). I'm looking forward to seeing the office staff at the Brownwood office and following up with Dr. Causey. Not only is he professional, but he's kind and happy to explain and listen to what's going on with your orbs. And yes, he also endures my inane questions.

My wife got her eyes examined for new glasses. At checkout, they billed her $50.00. Shortly after…read morethat, she received a bill for $124.48. After paying that, she went to EyeSite to get her new glasses. When the new glasses came in, she tried them on and found she could not see that well. We questioned whether they were made correctly, and they assured us they were; to prove they were right, they had one of their optometrists recheck her eyes. The prescription received from St. Luke's was wrong. They ordered the new glasses from the revised prescription, and she could see perfectly. We went back to St. Luke's and asked for a refund, as the work they performed was not right. They gave her $50.00 back and said that was the best they could do. I wrote the main office to request the $ 124.48, but no one ever got back to me. I am disappointed by the attitude they showed. I will be contacting Medicare and United Healthcare to inform them of the poor service that she received. One-star service.
