Hi, I wanted to share an amazing discovery we made. After dealing with many (sub par) hearing aid companies, we finally found an amazing company in Wildwood, FL. Which was recommended to us... Renaissance Hearing Center 352-461-0219 Angelo Darby saved the day. He is extremely professional, kind, knowledgeable, patient, very reasonably priced, and he cares about his clients. He's an amazing Christian man with a heart of gold. His office was very nice. Small and impeccably clean. Just how we like it! He makes you feel important. Unlike big companies which you feel more like a number, than a person. He had modern equipment and very well versed and knowledgeable with it all. You can tell he's been in business for a long time. After many years with my first set of hearing aids I realized that new technology would be an asset considering that I have a rather severe hearing loss in one ear. I started researching various hearing centers with the consideration that my health insurance policy does not include hearing aids but I wanted to purchase the aids that would offer me the technology I need. I was referred to Renaissance Hearing by an acquaintance who told me about how satisfied she was with the service and the hearing aids she recently purchased. The first visit with Angelo Darby just about sold me on feeling good about working with him and what he could do to give me the best hearing aids for my needs. He listened to my history with hearing aids and I listened to his background in the hearing aid field and I felt confident that I would receive both the service and technology I was seeking. Considering his office is outside the Villages, the pricing for the high tech Phonak aids were reasonably lower than other places I had been quoted. And I felt confident in my decision to purchase my hearing aids from him. In follow-up visits and phone calls, he has been extremely helpful in teaching me how to use the various options the aids offer, and takes the time and has the patience to work with me considering that from the first visit I explained to him that I am a "low tech" person. You're a person, not a number. Second, we engage in a thorough battery of audiological assessments. Third, we make a personalized recommendation based on your input and exam results. We take our time explaining everything so you can make an informed decision about your health. Fourth, we provide unlimited aftercare service at no charge to ensure you will always be hearing at your best.

Established in 2021.

This business began as a consequence of the pandemic. Every person on the planet has been affected by it one way or the other. I had dreamed of starting my own practice, this just hastened it. It has been a blessing and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve those in my community to my highest and best purpose.

Meet the Business Owner: Angelo D.

My raison d'être is to help other people. In my 20's I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco. In my 30's and 40's I was an educator in a range of settings from elementary to college. In my 50's I have dedicated myself to assisting those with hearing healthcare concerns. I continue to help. I continue to educate. I love my patients and the work that I do.

I ask about the reviews and Jordan our HAS explained that this office has until last year had an issue with turnover. Not anymore! I asked about no one returning calls and was told that most of that was in the beginning of 2020 when due to Covid, the practice was closed. CORPORATE failed to install a voice mail notifiying patients the office was not open nor staffed. Many complaints were during this time. Exam was VERY thorough compared to another practice, there was no pushing for purchase or for upgrades. We purchased and Jordan Hayes took over 45 minutes just explaining and insuring hubby knew how to use and felt comfortable (He has Alzheimer's). I rarely write a reviews, but this positive one needs to let you know at times, what's behind some poor reviews.

Do your homework - Don't buy hearing aids until you visit Angelo Darby at Renaissance Hearing Center. He can sell you hearing aids much cheaper since he isn't paying Village overhead. Angelo is very conscientious about getting you what you need for better hearing. He will test you, put a pair of hearing aides in for 30 days and adjust them to your needs. Try the tv aid that works with your hearing aids. I put my hearing aids in every day so I can hear tv better - no more loud tv to drive your spouse crazy. Got out of adjustment Phonax hearing aids?_Angelo can adjust those to get your hearing back. some hearing aid specialists will tell you they can't be adjusted and you need to buy new.
