We were introduced to Elliot by a mutual friend, and immediately appreciated his openness, enthusiasm, and ability to identify and help develop an artist's interests and talents. Elliot is incredibly patient and knowledgeable, and an outstanding collaborator. Working with my daughter Julia Krueger, for her debut EP "for(e)go", Elliot struck the perfect balance between giving guidance and critique, and yet allowing Julia to express her true intent as an artist. Elliot encouraged Julia to honestly portray her own artistic vision, while stimulating creative ideas, and ultimately delivering an incredibly high-quality product. Julia walked away from the experience more knowledgeable about music, and more sure of the type of artist that she would like to become. And, she found a terrific partner for her future recording studio sessions, as well. Elliot provided a great introduction for Julia into both the recording process and the music business -- introducing her to not only to talented musicians, who contributed significantly to the quality of her final tracks, but to industry ins-and-outs that were helpful to Julia as she prepped her EP for release. We'd give Elliot the highest recommendation possible. He's truly a fantastic professional and individual. read more

I had an incredible experience recording the audiobook for my debut book CHANCLA at Hear No Evil! I had never worked with a professional studio before and was nervous. But I was so grateful to be paired with the warm and wonderful Erin, my sound engineer, who was amazing and made the process seamless and SO fun. I was made to feel at ease moving through the space and was surrounded by beautiful and inspiring art, which, to me, is a huge plus because my brain loved being immersed in color and creativity. I was also really happy to meet Elliot a couple of times. He was also super present, and when he noticed we were running low on water bottles, he brought them immediately, which I felt spoke to his attentiveness to the comfort levels of his team and people like me who used the studio. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!!! My partner also got to enjoy the space with me and got set up in the amp room while I recorded. He loved it. I will definitely be working with them again and look forward to coming back and recommending this studio to all of my friends and to anyone reading this in search of a solid and professional studio run by people who really care about your experience and are easy and comfortable to be around. read more

I recorded four songs here. I'm not a professional musician and I'd never recorded before, but Elliot was thoroughly professional, good natured and patient throughout the whole process. He was always ready with a suggestion that would improve what I was doing and ready to listen to my ideas. His ear, skill and experience were invaluable. The studio itself was everything I could ask for. We recorded acoustic guitar "live" through a mic'd amp in the performance room, electric guitar and bass DI in the mixing booth and vocals in the vocal booth. At one point, while we were recording my acoustic guitar (and it sounding really good,) Elliot suggested we switch to an acoustic he had in the studio. It made a world of difference with a tone more appropriate for the style I was going for. The selection of instruments and amplifiers Elliot has can supplement or substitute for any that a musician may bring. In the time since I recorded there, Elliot has expanded and upgraded Hear No Evil, so now it's even more of a good thing. On top of all that, it's affordable. read more

After moving to California from the midwest I began looking for a studio to record my songs. After contacting several studios I decided to go with Hear No Evil, in Orange Calif. Elliot Koenig is the owner and engineer of Hear No Evil studio. I discussed my project with Elliot and explained to him that I did not have musicians or a female singer for the track I wanted to record, Elliot suggested a group of musicians including singer, Anna Carmela, for my session. On recording day I arrived to find the entire band set up and ready to begin rehearsal. We played the song over and over until it was to my satisfaction, I really appreciated how I was asked for my input after each run through. We recorded the song several times making further improvements along the way. Elliot's easy going personality and humor made the mixing process fun and relaxing. I have recorded at some of the best studios in Nashville and would put Hear No Evil up there with any of them. read more

I realized a dream come true earlier this year by contacting Elliot Koenig (owner of Hear No Evil Studios) and informing him that I would like to record some songs that I have wanted to sing for many years. I sang semi-professionally in the 1980's and 90's and wanted to record myself in the studio. Elliot introduced me to a few professional musicians. We had one rehearsal in August and recorded the songs at Hear No Evil Studios in late September. Elliot and his team, and the musicians, did a GREAT job of capturing exactly what I was looking for on each song. Kudos as well to a young man named Jake - one of Elliot's engineers - for pulling out of me some of the best singing I've ever done. I'm almost 65 years old now and Jake helped me relax and just sing! I highly recommend Hear No Evil Studios located in Orange, CA to any musician - amateur or professional - who is looking to record their music. Richard Thomas Paniagua read more

I first started using this recording studio sometime last year and have been extremely happy ever since. Elliott really knows how to run a recording studio and he pays attention to the fine details that most places could care less about. I can tell he has a lot of passion for what he does and uses his knowledge, abilities, and talents to help other artists explore and create their unique sound. Elliott creates a space for artists to come alive and honor their core talents. This studio creates a lovely atmosphere that is comfortable and inspiring. His studio has all of the latest technology and upgraded systems and professional top notch equipment that he definitely knows how to handle. He directs the musicians with ease and knows how to direct or fix and issues that may arise. I definitely recommend. Top notch! read more

This was my first experience in a recording studio. I came in with an original song (music and lyrics) and my acoustic guitar. I am a quiet player and singer. Elliot had me play the song for him, and then he talked with me about what he heard, including possible musical influences and where he thought my song could potentially be played, e.g., end credits for a Western. I agreed and then we started the recording process. Elliot and his staff were very patient and encouraging from start to finish, and he even played bass and electric guitar on the song, giving it a distant Western sound that fit perfectly with what we had discussed. Five stars. I will be back. read more

I recently booked a session at Hear No Evil Studios, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the facilities are top-notch and the equipment is state-of-the-art, the attitude and performance of the sound engineer left much to be desired. Throughout my session, it was evident that the sound engineer was not interested in working. They seemed disengaged, inattentive, and lacked the enthusiasm you'd expect from a professional in this field. It's disappointing because the potential for great work is there, but the unwillingness of the staff, particularly the sound engineer, to put in the effort really detracts from the studio's reputation. read more

I'm based in London and had the pleasure last week of having my great mate Ray record drums over a couple of songs of mine at Hear No Evil Studios. My home internet is terrible, making it dificult to me to tune in live, as we'd intended, but Elliot was so patient and was able to send me a quick mix of each take so I could keep up with what was going on and suggest tweaks etc.. It all worked beautifully and the drums are sounding great - real depth and clarity in the stems and I couldn't be happier. Thank you to Elliot and his team for their professionalism and for keeping me calm in the face of my own technical challenges! Chris Barry read more

Legitimately one of the best studios I've recorded in. Been through many different studios in Anaheim and LA over the last 15 years and this is by far THE BEST studio in either area. Not only are all the engineers super professional and talented, they're awesome people to be around and vibe with. Couldn't imagine any staff being better than these guys. Really felt like Disneyland everytime I walked into the studio regarding the range of equipment and options to choose from. Will absolutely be coming back to this studio for every project I have. Do yourself a favor and check it out, you'll feel the same once you do!! read more

Elliot was amazing to work with! He is so knowledgeable and so professional. He helped me record my book and I learned so much and Elliot was able to impart his wisdom to me. I recently visited Hear No Evil Recording Studio for the first time, and I must say it was an absolutely incredible experience! I've done a fair amount of work at Hear No Evil and it is always the most comfortable and accommodating environment a musician or producer could ask for. Especially for independent artists of almost any style. My band recently spent two days recording drums here and it was everything I look for in a session that presents as many demands as drum tracking does. Elliot Koenig is a master of his craft and makes sure your work gets done right every time. You cannot go wrong with the professionalism and the overall creative vibe Hear No Evil offers. read more

I came in recently to record an album and my experience wasn't absolutely fantastic! The location is a little odd but once you get there it's great. The space is roomy, comfortable, and the staff are very respectful and funny if you get to know them. You could show up with absolutely nothing and this place will have literally any instrument or piece of equipment you could ever need. Also they have great prices and are very efficient with their setup and breakdown. I highly recommend recording here if you ever have thought of it. read more

I just finished my 8th album with Elliot. My previous albums were recorded in Nashville, Texas, LA, France and New Caledonia. Of them all, Hear No Evil Studio was the best experience. I asked for radio ready songs, and they were delivered professionally. Elliot has a network of the best musicians around who helped me achieve my goal. Actually, it was such a great experience, I already started my 9th comedy album there. You can take a listen AmyAmes.com Thank you, Amy Ames read more

This place rocks. I recently interned a session here and got to check out the whole facility. This place has a great vibe to it. Feels super comfortable and friendly, which is one of the most important parts of a studio (in my humble opinion). But besides that, they've got a badass mic collection and many awesome rack units. Elliot the engineer is a great dude and he cares about the music. He's funny too. You'll have a great time here! read more

Elliot and his team were amazing to work with. This was my daughter's first time doing anything like this; Elliot was patient and upbeat the whole time (All 15 hours). He also creates a positive environment, never makes you feel rushed, and allows you to work through the process. He even took the time to teach my daughter new guitar chords to add to her songs and on top of all that answer my 200+ questions. read more

Me and my band Dirty Luxe have been recording here for over a year now and I can honestly say we made the best choice here opposed to any other studio.
