She also said what I was prescribed didn't deal with the root problem. Overall, my experience with Jennifer was good but I felt that Naturopathy didn't offer as much value as Ayurveda did - and this is because Naturopathy didn't include a physical assessment and because there is a lot of government regulation they have to work with. Its a cozy little stand alone unit in the plush neighbourhood of Streetsville Mississauga. I paid $125 for the intitial consultation which took almost an hour. The doctor on call asked a lot of questions related to my lifestyle, habbits, preferences etc. I was told that this would be crucial in determining the kind of remedy that would be administered. I felt quite relaxed and at ease. I was give these sugar pills as medication (included in the first consulation fees). I thought the fees were pretty reasonable considering the hundreds of dollars I've spent with various healthcare professionals. I am told that Homeopathy has no side effects and is completely natural which is the way I wanted to go , considering my body is full of toxics because of the medecines Ive been taking. After the first week I actually started to feel better. Breathing was easier. I thought it was too good to be true!! I scheduled follow up visits ( $35 each time and includes consultation and the price of the medecine!!) I had also been emailing and calling the doctor about my progress in between and he does not charge extra or give me a hard time about that!! Its been 5 weeks and my asthma is almost gone! I havent used a puffer and I feel good overall. I just hope its stays this way.I've been able to sleep after years... Its unfortunate that my benefits dont cover the cost of homeopathy but I've spent very little money and in return got my health back. For other naturopaths, doctors that I visited I've paid between a $80- $150 for visits and only got a few minutes of their time. They always seem like they are in a hurry to get it over with.
