Dr. Edmondson makes the experience of seeing your dentist worthwhile! This is coming from someone who had not seen a dentist for about 5 years. He is incredibly knowledgable and gives clinical advice tailoring it to your lifestyle. What most impressed me about this practice was their precautionary measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Their routine was efficient and streamlined; it made me feel very comfortable. Some of these measures include: 1. A pre-screener checklist the day before your appointment 2. You wait in your car, text them upon arrival. They notify you once it is okay to come in. 3. Hands-free hand sanitizer as soon as you get in 4. Took vital signs at start of appointment (pulse and temperature) 5. They were equipped with the proper PPE (e.g. face shields) 6. 3 air filters that periodically filter the air Not only is the doctor himself great, but his staff in general provides quality care. I always have a great experience with every dental hygienist I encounter. They are always very friendly and a great job answering all my questions even before I see the doctor. I personally recommend seeking treatment at Edmondson Family Dental Care. I think it is important to feel comfortable when receiving care, and they have and continue to do a great job doing this. When you get there, they always seem not to be expecting you. Then once they get started, it seems they are rushing to do 5 things at once. Like how can I make the next appointment while your hands are still in my mouth, and the assistant is handing me the spit cup? Why don't you already know what I had done last time? I can tell you but not while there are 4 hands and all kinds of tools in my mouth, and someone handing me things. Slow down and understand that patients are not pros at this. We get dental work done once in a while and it's kind of difficult for us. We shouldn't be asked to multitask while under duress and while paying top dollar, just so you don't have to spend one extra minute with us. I'd cancel my next appointment but I bought a membership on the strength of the first visit (prompt response to a painful need) so I'm just stuck I guess. If you're ok with a bit of chaos and little roughness, she's very good. If not, go elsewhere.
