After the nasty test that his assistant gave me which they called a nerve conduction test, that was suppose to check my nerve ending; I followed all his orders and I came down with MRSA. Now that I look back on the visit I hate I ever allowed this man in my life. His assistant gave me a test with a little needle that stuck me in every nerve ending in my body (starting in the bottom of my feet to the top of my head after each stick she stuck the needle in a sponge. I question every move and I asked her did she have additional education to perform this test every question was answered with a sincere answer. I can go on, this is when he was in the old St Elizabeth hospital office approximately 13 yrs ago. I didn't write a review back than because I was/still grieving for the lost of my only child. Joel Vandersluis told me he needed to give me a spinal tap in HIS office not at the hospital What REAL neurologist give spinal taps in there office? Looking back on my HORRIBLE experience with Joel he is out to make you sick not to help you get better. Long story short the reason I was having mobility problems/ and falling, my psychiatrist had given me a prescription for Xanax for my anxiety and panic attacks after the death of my child. I told Joel this and I also documented ALL medications on my new patient form, However Joel told me it was possible that I may have MS . A money maker diagnosis ~do your homework like I did so a neurologist like Joel will not make money off you . I'm so upset I have had rash after rash for 13 yrs with the help of Joel and other Doctors taking advantage of a mother grieving. I refused the spinal tap and he kicked me out his office and gave me my medical file. Sad we don't have Dr.'s that don't listen . He just wanted UHC money and mines.

This is about the office staff at Neurology Diagnostics-not the doctors. The scheduler is quite…read morerude and impatient. As this is the first impression patients have with the practice, it does not set a good tone. Additionally, while I understand that the scheduler is busy, it is common to call repeatedly and not get a live person; it goes to voicemail. The voicemail instructions say to leave a message and the scheduler will call us back. This never happens. In fact, I had to reschedule my appointment and, after calling 3 times, left a message with the requisite information. Not only did I never get a call back, the next day I was charged a no-show fee. When I called the office number to ask to speak with someone, I was transferred to the voicemail of the office manager. The officer manager NEVER calls back (much like the scheduler). If the office manager does not want to do her job properly or interact with patients when they have questions or concerns, perhaps she is in the wrong profession. I also tried calling the billing department. No answer, no response. Seems to be this office's modus operandi. I will NOT return; my doctor has recommended another provider, and they have been lovely so far. For patients who are already dealing with uncertainty and a potentially lifechanging diagnosis, the behavior of the office staff is unacceptable. The entire experience was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. My advice: seek another reputable practice that will treat you with respect and kindness.

Total rip off. Wanted me to pay $350.00 for one test, when my insurance said I only have a copay…read moreof $40.00, since they were in network. My insurance called them twice to explain my copay is only $40.00, the dr office insisted that I pay them 350.00 for one test and $175.00 for the 2nd test. I waited a month to get the tests done and now I have to find another doctor. I should known better when the doctor did not know the difference between being dizzy or lightheaded. Maybe that is why the parking lot is empty all the time.
