I'm a new patient of Dr. Alupay's and after a long day of doctor's appointments and the dreaded traffic on the 15, I wasn't exactly thrilled when my pharmacist refused to fill my prescriptions because they had been written incorrectly. It was a very simple mistake, missing only a number, but quickly became a bigger issue because this particular medication was a controlled substance so I would need a whole new prescription! Needless to say, I wasn't a happy camper. But Yanni to the rescue! Not only did she quickly return my call with many apologies, she personally arranged for me to have a new, written prescription and met me near where I lived to avoid sitting in traffic, JUST so I could have my medication. I am highly dissatisfied with the non-existent professionalism that occurs at this medical office. I would avoid at all cost. They make you wait for an incredibly long time. Dr. Kim saw my boyfriend for, at most, 10minutes, then they go and charge for the entire time of WAITING instead of charging just the actual patient-doctor interaction and what was done during the visit. What upsets me the most is that my boyfriend was left in more pain than when he got in and I felt highly offended of the insinuating tone Dr. Kim has when he has the audacity to ask "What is wrong with him" before I leave the clinic. We came to a doctor's office to find out what was wrong, but instead got an I'm incapable of helping you, please see another doctor. We came here hoping for answers about chronic pain, instead we got looked down upon like we weren't even human. There is no communication between the front desk and the doctor either. We sent medical records and X-rays , which I asked the front desk if they had them (they said yes) and Dr. Kim said that he didn't receive them. All in all, it was an absolute waste of time and money ever coming to this medical office. It's incredibly frustrating to find doctors so uncaring about the wellness of patients. Having grown up around the health field it's no wonder why people are practically on their death beds before they seek out doctors. I had a Scheduled appointment for my daughter and even received an email from the office with the time, date and details. When I got there they said her appt was scheduled for last month which is weird considering I called after that date. This is very frustrating because I left work early, pulled my daughter out of school and not to mention her knee is in pain! I know that mistakes happen but the front office lady went to talk to office manager and they could not see us! The manager didn't come out to talk to us either. Very unprofessional. The soonest appointment they had to see my daughter was 2 weeks out at 11! So she would have to miss more school and suffer through the pain for 2 more weeks! No thank you! I will not be going to Health Point for any of my families health care needs. Update : I received a phone call 5 days after my scheduled appointment ,when it was convenient for them! This issue should have been resolved the day of my schedule appointment. I was there on time with paper work filled out. It was not my mistake! I waited an hour and a half for my turn to do a hair follicle testing. The guy cut a big plug out of my goatee instead of just cutting a nice even area. my goatee was long enough for you to cut it evenly now I have a big bald patch on my chin and my at-work wife has left me and gone back to her boyfriend because I look like a bafoon. The new building is amazing but satisfaction with care is poor in the doctor office. The doctor office you will have an appointment and not be seen for an hour. Then you have to wait for the doctor who does not greet you or seem to know who you are or why you are there. There isn't common courtesy such as speaking directly to you or knocking at the door or simply shutting the door while talking. I can say one positive thing is the doctor will show you your results and explain them to you. The THERAPY people are amazing and make you feel comfortable. They work really hard to make sure you are feeling better with each visit. They see you promptly and make the most of your time. The facility and equipment are amazing. Highly dissatisfied with this place. Went in for a workmanship comp claim. Waited 2 hours past my appointment. Here is the main problem you will have: No communication. If any request is made from your workmans comp insurance with your permission, they do not provide it. Any script for MRI's you better damn well get a copy of while your there. Otherwise your insurance co will wait forever while your in pain. YOU WIll have to do their work they should have done. I got the run around and had to see the doctor again just to get ANOTHER script because shame on me, it should have been a CT and not an mri because of metal implants, which they did not answer back to my insurance co. I had to spend hours on the phone with both parties and take it upon myself to get copies and relay info back and forth. Your time is free to them so why should they do it eh? read more

If your time is not of any value then this is the medical facility for you. Dr Lee (pain management) is never on time for appointments. 45 minutes to an hour late is common. New patient's are always at the counter complaining about the wait. While established patients smirk in the waiting room. I have been a chiropractic patient for many years. I was recently in a motor vehicle accident and sought treatment at Healthpointe with Dr. Timothy Chiu. Dr. Chiu has shown me a different, and I believe an improved, approach to chiropractic treatment. Instead of the common "cracking" he uses neuropathic science to track the true origin of one's pain and the results are amazing. I will never return to traditional chiropractic care, and I tell everyone about my newfound physician and this most excellent care I am now receiving. Since walking in on crutches I have received excellent professional care and attention. The front desk was efficient and informative. Initial consultation with Dr Morales was clear and to the point. X-Ray team were caring and sympathetic of my pain. Nursing team were innovative in finding the best way to immobilize my leg. Next day I saw Dr Kim. He was friendly, informative, caring, and professional. In discussion with the Healthpointe Manager, Yanira, he did everything he could to get me to the right surgeon as quickly as the system allows. Yanira was extremely helpful and used her professionalism and knowledge to get me CT scanned and in front of the correct surgeon as quickly as possible. Avoid if you can! I called to make an appt. I have a PPO so referral was not necessary. The "new patient coordinator" took all my information and told me she needed to verify my insurance and I would get a phone call with in 24-48 hours. I let her know I work for a doctor's office and would I be able to fax her my insurance eligibility to be able to schedule sooner since I was needing an appointment sooner rather than later. She told me she had to call the insurance for benefits/eligibility and she'll call me back 24-48 hours. TWO WEEKS later still nothing and I had to call them. I asked to speak with a supervisor; however because the "new patient coordinator" didn't need any of my information or actually register me they didn't have me in the computer and therefore they wouldn't let me speak with a manager. The gentleman in the call center was sweet and understood my frustration. He transferred me to the Temecula office to schedule. At that time they were trying to give me an appt another 8 weeks out. I asked her if there was anything sooner and I was willing to drive to another location. The girl on the phone was rude and said the dr travels between offices. I let her know I was going to hold off on scheduling right now to see if I could get sooner due to my issue affecting my work. She had a smug attitude and said good luck with that. I finally gave up and just hung up. Pretty discouraging. Working for a dr office, it's unfortunate! I'll pay out of network or out of pocket before coming here. read more

I have to say this was a very good experience for me. I didn't have an appointment and just showed up with no authorization at 9:40 am. All of the staff was friendly and smiled when I came in. They were very nice and had me fill out some forms since I had never been here before. I had no authorizing paperwork so they called my work and got the okay for treatment and evaluation. I was seen by Dr. Hewitt and cleared to return for work. I was done and out of the office by 10:20. It was nice to see people who seemed to like their job and were friendly for a change. I went last week to see Dr. Nick. Unfortunately he was backed up with patients and the staff asked if I'd be willing to see a colleague by the Name of Dr. Morales. My appointment was quicker . The staff is amazing always joking with patient's. Which is a good thing getting you to smile, especially when your not feeling well. Dr. Morales was very young. However, don't be fooled because his bedside mannerism was off the chart. Very compassionate, understanding and attentive. He asked how was I feeling and medications I take . He asked if they were working any complications and would I need a refill. They also tried to get me out quicker do to current epidemic. The staff was on top of the sterilization of everything and even offered me pretzels and water fwhile I waited to be discharged. I can not emphasize how well this facility is ran. I just wish that more Dr.s Offices would take a page from there business. HealthPointe staff is always compassionate when dealing with there patient's. That's why I gave them a 4 out of 5 stars. 2 weeks later, Service! better! received phone call from Healthpointe "quality control". gentleman introduced himself and made inquiry if the issue had been resolved. it had, but by my own means. had i not written the 2 star yelp review, i wonder if i would have gotten a call. maybe, but the phone call came 2 weeks late none the less, everyone screws up. its what one does to clean up one's own mess. the medical bureaucracy at Healthpointe seems pretty big. but at least they strove to clean up after themselves. i will continue to be a patron at Healthpointe although constantly late seeing patrons at appointments, i have found Healthpointe staff to be very effective dealing with the nightmare of healthcare insurance bureaucracy. over and over again they have waded thru the briar patch of health insurance to help ensure i get even generic prescriptions filled of particular note, my complements to Christian in the Temecula office. thank you for your diligent and caring work! read more

HIPPA VIOLATOR ON THE PREMISES! One star because the staff and scheduling an appointment was no issue. My husband had an appointment with Dr. Edward Chappel today and he was not happy whatsoever. We had previously seen Dr. Spicer in Menifee for a consultation, who was highly recommended & he had also recommended back surgery for my husband, but due to Dr. Spicer being out of network with workmans comp, we had to go elsewhere. My husband had an appointment to see Dr. Chappel and he does not have good bedside manner. I was on the phone on speaker while my husband was at his appointment, and as the Dr. recommended no surgery and possibly getting epidural shots, I then started to ask a question as to why and then expressed our previous conversation with the last Dr. and he kept speaking over me and cutting me off. He also went on to say that the previous doctor we had seen (Dr.Spicer) was probably not a neurosurgeon (which he is) if he had recommended surgery because he would never recommend surgery for my husband situation. My husband asked him had he seen the MRI on disk, Dr. Chappel said he didn't need to see it as he had notes! What the heck??! He proceeded to say that he sees patients like my husband all the time and everyday, the Dr. then tells me, while on the phone, "you can't see this but I'm showing your husband the list of 30 people I have to see for the same issue today" AND PROCEEDS TO SHOW MY HUSBAND THE LIST!!! HIPPA VIOLATION!!!!!!! He basically said my husband needs to do yoga, work out, take Tylenol extra strength, alternate with Advil, hot & cold compresses, back stretches 4x a day. That's all good and dandy BUT WE HAVE DONE ALL OF THIS THE LAST TWO YEARS to include chiropractic appts and acupuncture appts as well. Only thing he will be recommending is an epidural shot but the proceeds to tell us he suggests seeing one of his friends, another Dr. he trusts, to get a third option. NO THANKS!!! We can do our own research and find our own Dr. to get a third opinion. I can't understand how this Dr. would recommend all these things without ever looking at an MRI. Maybe he's no longer confident in his surgery skills. Either way we are on to the next! read more

Dr. Culver is great, but the staff here are clueless. I had surgery scheduled-- they made me come home early from a Thanksgiving trip so I could have a pre- op exam. Had to drive to Perris at the crack of dawn as the Temecula Dr's. were on vacation. I show up, they tell me there's no doctor to see me there. WHAAAA???? Had to have the surgery all the way up in Lakewood near L.A. and had to arrive at 7:30 am, so I had to get a hotel room the night before. They didn't actually put me out until noon. I schedule follow ups and they call me asking me to make an appointment for a follow up. The right hand has NO idea what the left hand is doing here. They removed my stitches, then gave me no bandages to change the dressing so I had to go to the drugstore on crutches and get some. You always have to wait way past your appointment time. I had a follow-up appointment for today that I scheduled weeks ago at 11:45am. I showed up at 11:30am. After observing a steady flow of traffic and patients coming and going, I started to get a little antsy as 12:45 rolled around and then 1:45 rolled around. I asked the lady up front what was going on and she said I was "next". "Next" never came and I finally told them I was leaving and that it was very frustrating to wait over 2 1/2 hours for a simple appointment and left at 2:15pm, yes 2:15... They called me 5 minutes later as I was approaching the freeway to come back because the room was ready for me. Really???? So I could wait at least an hour more in an enclosed room??? I am a very patient and understanding person, but today's scenario was totally unprofessional and uncalled for. I refuse to go back to this place again, even if they give me another doctor. I've never been to a doctors office this bad! My dad who cannot stand sit or lay waits in pain and at the most 2-3 hours. It's very frustrating and the communication is horrible. We have to come here cause its under workers compensation. If we had a choice we would obviously be at a better office. BUT, We do love Dr. Allen. Wanted to thank Dr. Leslie Kim for the multiple surgeries that he has performed on me since 2012 to present. I have had a left elbow tear which he had repaired with hardware, back in 2013 and a right rotator cuff surgery with Hardware that was performed 2015. I highly suggest this doctor / surgent I looked him up on Google and was very impressed with his medical background and he has over 40 years of experience. In the near future I have two more surgeries with him both hands carpal tunnel. A few weeks ago I sat in the waiting room and heard a patients complaining about the time, I would rather wait that extra hour and have someone professionally give me advice and perform a good solid surgery that will repair the problem. Yes sometimes the wait is a while but I would rather have a doctor that's going to spend 20 to 30 minutes over the office visit, communicating with me on my problem along with suggesting ultrasound X-rays and MRI. Before starting my review on health pointe I want to say that I switched to them because I had a horrible experience with the last place I was being treated at, specifically with getting my referral. I know workers comp can be a lengthy process but the staff at the last place I went to was horrible! I didn't want to deal with them any longer so I asked to switch to healthpointe to finish my workers comp back/ spine appts. With that said the staff at health pointe gave me an appt right away. I was referred to a spine specialist by Estela. She was very informative and got me my appts right away! I recommend all the services here at Healthpointe! Keep up the great work! read more
