From the front desk , technicians, dietitian, personal trainer to the Dr, who in my case is Dr Edelson, i am so pleased at this practice. I am 60 years old so I have been to many many physicians in my life. I can call at any given time and there is always someone to assist . They provide acupuncture, weight loss services, geriatric care, nutrition, ,wellness not to mention both my daughters ( 26 and 33) are patients as well. A friend referred me to Healthbridge when I was looking for a new General Practitioner. I've been to HealthBridge about four times now and I have been very pleased with every visit. The office staff are friendly and very professional. I love the fact that they offer e-mail and txt confirmations for you appointment. The email has a box to check that says confirm appointment. Very cool. As for the doctors I have been likewise impressed. When it comes to doctors I'll be completely honest here it takes a lot to earn my trust. They are straight forward and don't go overboard running a bunch of extra tests for diagnostics. Much appreciated. Thankfully my experiences have only been limited to check-ups. read more

I'd like to express my appreciation for the devotion, professionalism, and humanity demonstrated to me at Health Bridge. Struggling with my stubborn thyroid my whole life, I sought out the physicians at Health Bridge to shed some light on why my previous doctor's prescription wasn't positively affecting me. Making the appointment took all of two minutes. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and made my feel like I was more than just a patient number in their files. They do take insurance plans. They also offer different options for appropriate patients who require/wish for different services and accommodations. The practice is clean, spacious, and comfortable. Most importantly, during my actual visit, I was incredibly impressed by how thorough the exam was! It wasn't a five minute "let's check your pulse; cough please; follow my flying finger; yep, you're living; see me in six months" kind of visit. Full bloodwork was taken, BMI calculated, hearing, heart rate/murmurs, sight, etc. Time is invested into the patient, and that is what sets this office apart from most other practices. The doctor was very proactive with the exam and encouraged any questions or concerns that he could address before I left. His main goal was to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied with the visit, tests, and information shared. I then promptly received a call a few days later by the doctor himself (not the staff) to talk about the results and what options I could choose from to better my health. He opened my eyes to the reasons why I was not receiving the results I had desired over the years, and I am grateful to have come across this practice; I can literally say it has been a life-changing experience. I highly recommend any patients who are interested in being treated as more than an "appointment" to visit Health Bridge to see a physician (they're all awesome). Wow! For a place that thrives off of its $200 monthly concierge service, you would think that Healthbridge would be able to hire someone other than employees with no knowledge of the services these doctors are providing. I suffer with several female issues and wanted to find a place where I could explore the option of Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, I was merely calling to find out some information about the services rendered and if they were appropriate for me, since going on HRT can be a tough decision. A nasty woman answered the phone and she was immediately combative with me and started rattling off how much the services would cost and also the cost of out of pocket medications. She also told me there was no risk in going on hormones, which after further research I found to be untrue (HRT can cause cancer in some women), she also told me there was no difference between bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and regular hormone therapy, which is also incorrect information. I asked her nicely if I could speak to the nurse about the treatment since I obviously wanted to talk to someone with some medical experience about it, she told me I have to go through her and if I want to speak to anyone I have to pay the $350 consultation fee. I have been a Great Neck resident for 20+ years and I have NEVER been treated like this by a medical office, especially one that wants to charge such exorbitant rates.I really do sincerely believe that Healthbridge's only concern about risks to women's health is that they won't get enough money from their purses. I called the "Office Manager", who refused to apologize and told me he was standing over the woman while she was talking and denied that she said anything like that, Healthbridge obviously has enough wealthy suckers that they don't care if someone does not want to do business with them. I stopped seeing Dr. Klein a few years back. He is professional, and the office was very clean and nice, however be prepared to wait 2 hours every time you show up for an appointment. My last appointment (the straw that broke the camels back), I was forced to wait 2 hours and 45 minutes to be seen by the doctor, when all I needed was a prescription refill. I complained to the front desk, only to be yelled at by the Doctor when he finally did come in to see me. There are plenty of great general practitioners out there, I advise looking for one that puts a value on your time. read more

I can not speak highly enough of HealthBridge and Dr. Klein in particular. I have been his patient for over ten years and he has treated me for some potentially serious problems. He is an excellent diagnostician and picks up potential problems early on and when appropriate, he has referred me to specialists to assist in my treatment. Having confidence in your medical provider is important and when I leave his office, I feel confident that all bases have been covered. He has a direct approach but communicates well and listens to his patients. He makes sure that I understand what is going on and what his recommended approach is. There seems to be two camps concerning concierge medicine. I feel the value received for the extra fee is worth the investment while others do not. Of course it is a personal decision, but, the increased interest in concierge medicine is a result of the change in laws governing medical coverage implemented over the past few years. To survive, many professionals are being swallowed up by major hospitals and provide less individualized medicine. I do not want that for me. I have been on the concierge program at Healthbridge for over a year and enjoy the better access that comes with the program. But, the staff and doctors do not treat me any differently, and all patients get the same courtesy and excellent medical treatment. There are many benefits to the program but I consider more time with the doctor, easier scheduling of appointments, nutritional counseling, and off hour access the most important. I met Kim Barresi while getting my hair cut and it changed my life, ha. Not a small claim. We struck up a conversation and I found she was a Nurse Practitioner at Healthbridge and as luck would have it, I needed a physical and wasn't particularly thrilled with my current MD so I agreed to see her. She spent time with me talking to me about my health yes but about me as well. No doctor had ever done that. I felt that she actually cared about me as a person outside of just a number in a room to work on. My main issue was weight, and we talked frankly about the risks that were associated with it, and some of the ways that she could help. Long story short, it's almost 6 months and 75lbs lost later and I truly feel like I have my life back. My blood work is almost perfect, I have bounce in my step that my knees couldn't have managed 6 months ago and I just plain old feel better all around. The biggest part of this though is that I did it with her guidance, in a way that I can live with for the rest of the my life. This wasn't a fad diet, or surgery, or some svengali off a high mountain chanting magical incantations to me in my sleep. This was a dedicated health professional, taking an interest in a person enough to find a way to connect so that she could understand how he could best get the result he needed for the betterment of his health. Someone else I imagine would be given an entirely different plan, but for me, the advice and guidance she gave and interest she took in me, was exactly what I needed at exactly the right time in my life to make the changes that I've been wanting to make for quite some time. I was searching for a new primary care office and through Yelp I found Healthbridge. I found it easy to make an appointment. The staff was very warm and the doctor was caring and had a excellent bedside manner. The initial appointment took an hour as they really try to get to know you and address any health problems you may have. They will do a BMI, lung test, hearing test, draw blood, and physical examination itself. They can confirm appointments via phone, email or text which is a plus. I went to see Dr Edelson for a sleep problem. He gave me a through exam and asked me a lot about my lifestyle and health. I should tell you this was my first appointment with him. I was very satisfied. He is a caring person who I trust very much after speaking to him on that first visit. Linda is the office manager. She helped me get my issues sorted out with regard to insurance. Kathleen in the sleep lab gave me the instruction on the sleep study. She also helped me find an in network provider to cover the durable medical equipment I needed. The team over at Healthbridge is on point, pleasant, effective and caring. The staff and doctors here are only friendly if you are paying their $200/month concierge service along with your insurance. Once they realize your making an appointment for their non-concierge DR or NP they are rude, confrontational and genuinely uncaring about any situation you might be in. My mother was looking for a new primary care doctor and Dr. Lanman was "suggested" to us by her therapist whose patient highly recommended her. This doctor is brand new to the Healthbridge practice and did not come with the "option" to join or not join the concierge program as other reviewers have stated. My mom signed up after learning she would have 24 hour access to her doctor as well as extended appointment times, same or next day appointments and many other extras. We made an appointment for a consult to make sure it was the right fit. We waited 45 minutes to be seen. My mom went back on her own for the initial diagnostic testing and each time waited a considerable amount of time before she was seen. The doctor gave my mother prescriptions for medications she was on already without even checking with her other doctors about the dosages. The practice tries to come across as being personal and genuine but does not even come close! The last straw was today when after waiting 35 minutes for the doctor, the staff could not tell us how much longer she would be. We went to speak to Linda Levitt the VP of Healthbridge about our disappointment with the program and was not even asked WHY we wanted to cancel our contract. Minutes later, the nurse came over to tell us the doctor was ready! Wow!!! Really? When we told her we were leaving, Dr. Lanman walked past the office we were in, went in to her office and closed the door. So much for caring! Thank you and goodbye! read more

I've been going to Health Bridge for almost four years. I can honestly say that although my examinations have been fairly thorough, the doctors, medical assistants, and staff here do not geninuely care about patients. There is an unacceptable amount of wait time for visits. I recently waited just over 2 hours for my annual physical. The office manager offered an insincere apology and suggested I switch to another doctor. When I complained to my doctor, he recommended I join/pay for the platinum concierge program. Last year, my annual physical appointment was canceled a day before because my doctor decided he was going to take a vacation. I could not get another appointment for months later. If you are thinking of going to Health Bridge I would look elsewhere. Overall, the negatives outweigh the positives. read more

if I could give this a negative star, I would. I had been a patient of HealthBridge for many years. My doctor is excellent and she took very good care of me over the years. However, one of the receptionist at this office is extremely rude. I called up for a prescription and the receptionist answered the phone in a very loud voice, she was screaming at me and was rushing to hang-up. I needed a prescription for an exam the following day from my doctor. I gave her my message and wanted to confirm a second time that I must have the prescription the following morning by 10 AM. She said to me "Listen I heard you the first time and I will take care of it." This type of response is definitely not appropriate for customer service. This receptionist needs more training and this is not the first time I notice her being rude to other patients. read more

I have been a client of Healthbridge for the past 6 years. I initially was referred to them when my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I was worried about the progression of the disease, if my mother could continue living alone and, what should we expect. I was fortunate enough to be able to secure an appointment with Dr. Edelson as well as the on-staff nutritionist. I didn't realize that diet and a healthy lifestyle were an important part of managing this disease. The staff at Healthbridge could not have been more accommodating. And their genuine concern and care for my mother is apparent every time we have an appointment. When we had to make the very difficult decision to put my mother in a specialized facility there were lots of medical forms and tests that had to be filled out/administered prior to her admittance. This was an extremely emotional decision and the staff at Healthbridge helped and guided us along the way; up to administering a test (which I had forgotten about) on the day of her admission to the facility and getting the results in time so there was no delay. I am now a client of Healthbridge and have referred them to two of my sisters in law and several friends. I live in NYC and work in Greenwich, CT. The late hours are very convenient for me. Every appointment is confirmed ahead of time and if you need to reschedule you are not penalized. When I have an appointment I get to spend time with my doctor and ask questions, I never feel rushed.
