RADNET - Temecula Valley Advanced Imaging - Cal Oaks, Murrieta. Worst experience with an imaging center ever. I had a diagnostic chest CT because of a spot on my lung. The images were loaded to the portal on day 2, but 15 days later I still don't have the radiologist's report, nor does my pulmonologist! I have made 5 phone calls, 2 messages, a site maintenance request, and have been told by 3 people in Medical Records that they would email the report to me. It is still not available to me, nor to my doctor, who has also called and requested it. When treatment plans depend on diagnostic tests, those results are critical. Shame on everyone involved with the mistreatment of this information. I will never use the Cal Oaks office again and would advise anyone else to steer clear. Just a horrible, frustrating experience. read more

My appointment got moved up a day because their newest office is not yet accepting my insurance. I ended up here at the Murrieta office on Cal Oaks Road. My appointment was at noon, and I got a text to come in 15 minutes before my appointment, but it didn't matter because there was a short line in front of me anyway. I checked in and was helped by one of the ladies at the front desk. I filled out some paperwork before sitting down in the waiting room for a few minutes. I was then told to go to Suite 101, which is 2 doors down. I went, and the waiting room in there is half the size it is here. Fortunately, I was taken into the back to get my procedure done right away. I had a little mishap (my fault for not drinking enough water! Oopsie!) so I was told to drink more and wait in the waiting room. If the 1250 appointment didn't show up, they could take me. Otherwise, I would have to reschedule. I downed more water, sat, and waited as the clock ticked toward 1250 pm. Just as I was about to get up and ask to reschedule (I could barely hold it in at this point, lol), they called me back and completed my procedures. So glad I didn't have to reschedule! I do agree with others who say the staff could be more friendly and attentive. I went to use the bathroom in-between my 2 procedures, and when I went back into the room, one of the techs was sitting in the chair on her phone. She got up and did what needed to be done, and her assistant was nice. I could have been in and out within a half hour, maybe 45 minutes at most, but it was my fault for not prepping accordingly. I am satisfied with the type of care I received here and would recommend it to others. Just be sure to do what they say so you don't run the risk of having to reschedule! read more

My doctor ordered a stat X-ray and when I went in an hour later they couldn't find the order in their system. They had me call the doctors office and request it be faxed over, which I did. They then inform me that their fax machine isn't working and request I call again so she can take a verbal order over the phone. All of that is fine, I understand technical issues happen. What I have an issue with is the receptionist putting my phone on speaker and loudly discussing my medical information in the lobby for everyone to hear. How is that not a HIPPA violation? I'm sure she realized I was pissed and suddenly decided to start trying to be nice and helpful. read more

No payments anymore They don't care if you are very ill and doctor needs a CT scan or MRI. You need to pay in full your deductible. They will tell you to apply for credit. Bad humans running this place. Not the fault of the facility. I need an X-ray as a result of an injury I sustained recently. After consulting with my Doctor, he sent my X-ray order over the Menifee location. When I called to make an appointment, I was told by the Menifee office that x-rays are only done at their Murrieta office on a walk-in basis only, from 0900-1130 and 1300-1500. I was also advised to call the Murrieta office first to see if the x-ray tech was in the office the day I planned to visit. I arrived around 0910. The signage on Suite 103 indicates x-rays are done in Suite 101. However, save yourself some time: there's a sign on Suite 101's counter that instructs all patients to register in Suite 103 first. After completing my insurance/payment paperwork, I returned to suite 101. Be advised there are 4 chairs available for patients to sit on inside this small waiting area due to Covid distancing. I observed a lot of elderly patients needing to sit. I gave up my chair than elderly gentleman so he could sit next to his wife, despite my foot injury but was able to find another chair when it was vacated. To her credit, it seems like the only staff member in Suite 101 was the x-ray tech herself. Someone asked her if there were more chairs for those waiting outside in the cold weather to sit on. She made the command decision to relocate two of the waiting room chairs outside. Bravo!! This business should really think about at least using folding chairs for the additional patients forced to stand outside for an extended period of time. I was listening to a conversation outside of the office: yes, someone from Suite 103 propped the door to Suite 101 wide open. The conversation mentioned that the average wait time was about 90-120 minutes for a walk-in X-ray. I waited about an hour for my x-ray. The tech who took my x-rays was friendly, efficient and got her job done professionally and quickly. read more

I am not going to complain about the wait time due to time of the month, however what I will complain about is their continued erroneous/fraudulent balance billing/fake copay practices! It appears that this is only happening within their Murrietta/Temecula/California Oaks offices. They request a co-pay and when you tell them that x-rays are covered at 100% under your plan, they don't care, they will not see you without paying their fake copays. In the past I have visited their Hancock location and have paid and simply requested a refund back prior to being seen and then walked into their Corona office location where they do not make up copays or even ask for one, however when they do this to your children and/or to the elderly when they are in pain, you don't have the luxury of doing this or playing around with their pain. This happened to my daughter on Tuesday evening at this location, and I just paid however it is a pain to have to file a grievance with your insurance on the next business day, to get your money back this needs to stop! Stop preying on children and the elderly's pain especially if they have limited monthly resources. They eventually send you your money back but a year later, however this practice is still not acceptable, can you imagine families or the elderly that are living paycheck to paycheck? Have some ethics, this is why we need to stop allowing these big corporations from entering into our communities. read more

I was pretty pleased with their long hours. I needed to have an MRI of my shoulder and was able to come in the evening at 8 PM, which is helpful when you're somebody who works. The MRI technicians were amazing! I wish I could remember their specific names but all the technicians were amazing! I have really bad panic attacks and I'm extremely claustrophobic so I was not looking forward to having to do another MRI! However, the ladies were so kind, supportive and did an amazing job! So it's completely ok for a patient to show up on time and have to wait over and hr just to be seen. But then when a patient shows up 13 mins after the appointment time they have to reschedule?? You need to update your address with google!! Also answer your Phones!!! Called 10 times trying to get directions because I couldn't find the entrance to the building. But never got to speak with anyone. Thank you for wasting my time and money. If I didn't have to go here I would never go back and I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. To top it all of the waiting room was packed !! Clearly over capacity what happened to social distancing and limited capacity. What a joke Update: at the clinic right now appointment was at 11, it's now 11:30 they are 30 minutes late. Showed up 30 mins early since they canceled my last appointment and made me reschedule. Who knows when I will be called in I hate this place so much. Beware of these offices! Not only are they not incorrectly entering orders they are also giving incorrect results. I was sent to the Menifee office from Urgent Care across the hall with a Stat ordered X-ray for my son's arm. They do not take appointments for X-rays and the wait time even getting there early in the morning was already 3 hours. With the stat order they first said we would get results by end of day. Since we didn't get the X-ray done until after lunchtime they said it would be 24 hrs, by lunchtime the following day. After 24 hours we tried to call the office, but their system does not put you through to speak with anyone. Since I still did not hear by the end of day, day 2, I went in when they opened on day 3. Not only was the order not read yet, it was entered incorrectly and not marked as a stat order like the doctor had clearly filled out on the form. She said it was a common problem with one of their staff, that they were regularly not marking urgent doctor orders correctly. That means lots of other people going to that office with urgent orders aren't getting their results either. She said no one was available to read it and I would have to go through their Cal Oaks location to fix it. Cal Oaks first told us that they would send it immediately to be read and we should know within the hour. After giving them an extra couple of hours we called back only to have them keep telling us to wait longer and longer. Five hours later, they said the radiologist would not get to it by the end of that day either. When reminding them that it was a stat order for a broken bone, they said if it was "really broken the X-ray tech would have told us." Anytime we have had imaging done in the past we were always told that only a doctor or radiologist could inform us of results and give us the diagnosis. They said no one would read it that day and only then offered to send the results back to urgent care to be read by the doctor who ordered it. Urgent care read it immediately and confirmed it was broken. When I went to get a disc of the X-rays to take to orthopedic it came with a written report from the radiologist saying it only one small fracture and the rest of the wrist was fine. Orthopedics confirmed these results were false. My son not only fractured 2 bones but a 3rd bone is also displaced. Not only are you waiting days for stat results, the results are incorrect. They were only polite and concerned with patient care until the images were taken and insurance was billed. Then they don't care about completing it as ordered. read more

I have had several MRI's in the past with no problems and no anxiety, but this experience was a near nightmare and NOW I am anxious about having MRI's the future. The technician gave me headphones to listen to music, to buffer the sound of the equipment, but had the volume set to the highest level and never checked during the procedure to ask if the volume was appropriate or how I was doing. Three (3) times I pressed the call bulb I had been given to alert her, with no response. The volume was literally blasting in my ears in a procedure where I was expected not to move at all! After getting no response, I had to literally yell at the top of my lungs to tell her the volume was too high! I was on the verge of having a panic attack, trapped in the machine. Turns out, the call bulb/button she gave me was apparently disconnected..... I was understandly upset when the procedure was completed, but instead of offering even an apology she said it wasn't as long a time as I'd thought it was, that I was trapped with a headset blasting in my ears. Super disappointed, won't listen to what I was asking. The young woman at the front desk works fast but won't listen to my concerns about the doctor not reviewing my previous MRI. How she thinks she knows what my doctor did or didn't do, or what I may or may not need is moronic. There were no questions about my having a previous MRI when I had the MRI. The reason I got the MRI was to compare the differences from 2015 to now. If they never got the old MRI how can they do that? Irritated, frustrated and disgusted. read more

I agree the receptionists can be a hair rude. When I forgot my Dr's orders in the car, the receptionist was a bit condescending when I told her I didn't have it. Luckily I left it in the car and when I gave it to them, they were fine. I'm guessing this happens often and they're just sick of it, so i didn't hold it against them. BTW, I didn't find that their conversations were anything less than professional. Both times I came here for a breast ultrasound, the technician was very pleasant and thorough.I've had a breast ultrasound at another location two weeks prior and it was definitely not as thorough. Unfortunately they are the only ones that read breast ultrasounds there, otherwise I would've liked to go to their more spacious temecula office. read more

I walked in a little before 9 AM on a Tuesday for an x-ray of left shoulder. Registered at Suite 103, and then I was directed to Suite 101 to wait. The waiting room is tiny. I was not comfortable waiting with multiple people in such a small space, so I waited outside the glass door. The x-ray tech called me after about 15 minutes. Her name is Shannon. She got me situated in the x-ray lab and took images of the various views of my shoulder she needed. She was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. I went here for an MRI. I was nervous all day about this MRI and wasn't sure what to expect. As I entered the office I felt a complete sense of peace and calm due to the amazing, peaceful and absolute stunning ambiance they created here. This place has the feel of a very relaxing spa and I was immediately put at ease and felt comfortable. Seriously, this place was absolutely stunning and even has a huge tropical fish tank. The office was immaculate and clean and not at all like any Doctor's office vibe. Who's ever idea it was to create this place in this manner is a genius and I am grateful to them because it truly did help put me at ease. The girl at the front desk was nice, professional and quick to check me in. The technician was kind, caring and so very patient and helpful. I called this morning for an MRI appt and they were able to see me today at this facility at 3:45 p.m. I arrived at 3:30 to fill out the necessary paperwork which took me about 5 minutes. 45 minutes later I inquired about my 3:45 appt and I was informed that my appt was actually for 4:00 but they said the appt was 15 minutes earlier to allow sufficient time to complete the paperwork. So, there is absolutely no need to arrive early for an appt here as they're counting on you being late. Oh well. The facility is clean and the personnel are nice/polite. Came here for a pelvic ultrasound 2 years ago and came in recently to accompany my mom for her appointment. The woman who did my ultrasound 2 years ago was PHENOMENAL. I was really nervous and uneasy, but she made me comfortable and was very gentle. However, what I did notice that remained the same was the front desk. On both occasions, the receptionists always come off really snooty and kind of rude. That's a huge turn off, but at least the medical service you're coming in for is really great. They need to change the morbid video they have playing in their waiting room in suite #101. Animals killing each other is not pleasant to watch while waiting. I would NOT return to this provider if my life depended on it and unfortunately it does ! As I have malignant cancer. I scheduled a CAT scan there on Friday, then during a phone call to confirm the appointment I asked, "have you received prior authorization yet" Here is what followed: "I just confirm the appointments, so can you tell me if your coming" Me, "it depends, you have not answered my question" Them, "so do you just want to reschedule" Me, "no I would like you to answer my question"\ Them, "please hold" After several minutes I hung up, no one called back. I called later in the day and was assured that although they hadn't got prior authorization yet, that they expected to and "someone would call me back" no one ever did. Now it is the day of the test and I have to drink two bottles of barium solution. "Have you received authorization for the test" Them, "still working on it" No in fact they were not, that was a complete lie, I had called the insurance company the day before, the day that they also said "they were working on it. I finally talked to a manager, some manager, she said she'd call me back, never did. Told me to come in anyway and she would guarantee that there would be no charge. I explained that I had been asking for now three days and not a single person has called me back Then finally someone does call me back and concocts a story that my doctors office was trying to schedule the same test, UM no they were not, again a total lie, a fabrication Now one would have to ask themselves, would you really trust these people given their level of integrity and professionalism is so low. Came to this location to pick up MRI results. Both front desk employees wearing masks around their chins (instead of actually covering their face holes) and another employee farther back not wearing mask at all. I'm not a mask narc, telling on every business or person not wearing masks properly. I mostly am not bothered by it. But I found this extremely weird because it's a medical facility and people don't really have a choice to go there, since they have a dire medical issue. It seriously makes me wonder if this place takes sanitation and medical standards seriously in general, since they don't seem to have normal protocols. Plus it's hypocrisy at it's finest if patients are required to wear masks and all doing it and the staff themselves refuses? Just weird. Also patients who are having medical problems might have weakened immune systems since they have a current medical issue, so seems more important here than a restaurant, gym, or somewhere optional. So it's actually pretty messed up the staff would make such people feel uncomfortable like this and not follow normal medical procedures. Had a pleasant experience there 11/17/18. At first I was hesitant, due to past reviews from over a year ago. Understanding that things can change for the better, I picked this place for my x-rays. It was close to where I lived, and did not want to drive long distance steering a Crew Cab F250 4x4 with lift kit, because of my shoulder injury and mostly using one hand for steering. I think I only waited 20 minutes before going in, there was paperwork to sign during that time anyway. In and out in an hour or less. Hopefully their machine will stay operating well - - - It was down for 4 days, plus computer transfer of x-ray issues. Glad I waited, and will go back again for further x-rays when needed. read more

Prior to having an anatomy scan appointment we called to see if husbands were allowed to come to the appointments. They told us only husbands and no other non essential family are allowed to come in. The day of my wife asked at the front desk if I could come in and they told us I was allowed to come to the second part as long as I have a face mask. After she processed our copay as they call her in they told her that I was not medically necessary so I could not come. When we called and complained they tried telling us this was Riversides county law which is not true it's only a company policy which I understand. They should train and tell their workers the policy and call or email clients if there are such drastic policy changes. Very unprofessional and disappointing service. read more

Went in for a full body scan Tuesday morning. Front desk receptionist unfriendly, almost bordering on rude. Scan technician was great though, friendly and seemed pretty knowledgeable. They invited me to come back later that day to speak with a doctor about the results, but because i'd already driven over one hour to get there I asked for a telephone consult instead, which they agreed to. Set for 4:00pm, but they called at 2:00 and told me they were too busy, re-scheduled me for 5:30 Wednesday, assured me they answered the phone until 7:00pm. Called Wednesday at 5:30 pm, phone just rang and rang and rang. Over 50x. Called again, rang over 50x, no answer. Luckily had gotten a back number earlier when I asked the rescheduling girl to just e-mail the report (she refused). Called back number, was told they were probably busy, but they would have doctor call. About an hour later a girl called back, bad attitude, and said, you wanted a call back? After explaining all, she said she'd have the doctor call back. Of course, you guessed it, no call back. Finally Friday, I tried again and got through, doctor was pleasant enough. Nice looking place, but I think more money should be spent on staff than trying to make it look like some Beverly Hills swanky place. read more

Very unprofessional! Several years ago I had an MRI at Health Scan Imaging's Menifee location and had a horrible experience. So when my doctor gave me four locations of Heath Scan Imaging, I made sure that I didn't go to the Menifee location. I decided to try their Murrieta location. I made an appointment and they scheduled me for a 6:45pm appointment. The day of the MRI, they called to say that they can not do a contrast dye that late in the evening. My first thought was...then why did you schedule that time slot? They rescheduled for Thursday in the early afternoon. I arrived on time and filled out the paperwork. They then took me to the back to wait for the my MRI. After a few minutes, the receptionist came up and told me that my appointment was two days ago and they do not have any openings. She said they would not be able to fit me in. I told her, yes, my appointment was scheduled to be two days ago, but the company had called me and rescheduled. I was very short on time due to a trip and needed to get the MRI done asap. After I left, Health Scan Imaging called to say they could do my MRI in 20 minutes in Lake Elsinore. I retrieved all my paperwork from the Murietta office and headed off to Lake Elsinore. I explained everything to the receptionist there (she was very kind and professional). Confused, she said "I don't know why they sent you here, we haven't done Contrast MRI's the whole week because our tech is gone and they know that"! Really? After phone calls back and forth, they arranged to complete my MRI the next day. The Lake Elsinore receptionist talked to the company Manager who informed me they were going to give me a gift card. As it turns out, it was a $10 Starbucks gift card. I laughed and said to tell her Manager that was pathetic. There are many other Imaging places that are available in the area. I went in here with my mother to get an MRI of my back. I had an appointment.While waiting in iine we were unfortunate witnesses to a fight between the receptionist and a patient who had been waiting for over an hour. I understand that they do not make appointments for x-rays but to have a shouting match and be rude to a patient is UNPROFESSIONAL behavior to say the least. This continued the whole time I was there with EVERYONE that came in for an X-ray or really any other question. They were all upset and all treated with the same disrespectful rude behavior by this blonde receptionist. I simply asked how behind they were and she snappled at me, "You have an appointment, this has nothing to do with you!" After that an older lady came in, got the same treatment, said it was a 2 hour wait, and that the ONLY person working the x-ray machine just went to lunch. Some other young lady came out called out the first name of Donna only (which just so happened to be my name and the older ladies name, (they were approx 30 minutes late for my appointment by then and I was early on top of that...) the older lady jumped up said thats me and went into the changing room. I asked when I was going to be called in and she said I just called your name! I said, well there is apparently two Donna's and the lady that just came in jumped up. Apparently it's MY job to VERIFY patients last names for them?! I went back and told the technician and she kncoked on the door and explained the situation to the older woman who is REALLY ticked off now! During this time I ask the REALLY unpleasant blonde who could really care less she has patients that come in who keep this place open for business, about the OPEN MRI, she says, we dont have that here. I can reschedule you for ANOTHER facility that does, or you can pay $ 150.00 to be sedated than unsedated so you can drive home. I said, I verified this information with your office when the appointment was made a week ago and she argued that I did not with THIER office I must have with my DOCTORS OFFICE. HONEY, A Nicole, from HEALTH SCAN called ME! I SERIOUSLY started to cry, told my mom I just want to leave, I want to go back to my old place that may be ugly inside but has really wonderfully nice and professional people that work there! Why did my doctor send me to a place 45 minutes out of my way and to such a horrible place!! I am a multiple sclerosis patient of 16 years, a cancer survivor and I am waiting on a dx of a lump in my left breast while seeing how bad the herniation of my L3-L5 is at this beautifully decorated establishment yet very highly unprofessionally staffed medical facility.
