JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE…read more I've learned to always try a simple service before committing to a full set or pedicure, and unfortunately, this experience confirmed why. If you're looking for a nail salon, I would recommend Jenny Nails in the plaza behind this salon or Pamper Nail Bar on Whittlesey instead. I came in for a simple acrylic removal and, before the service even started, I clearly explained that I did not want to soak my nails in acetone and that I wanted to preserve the length and health of my natural nails. If that wasn't a service they could provide, I wish they had been honest from the beginning so I could have gone somewhere else. Instead, the nail technician immediately began aggressively filing my nails with the e-file on a very high speed while speaking about me in Vietnamese throughout the service. Then the owner/manager came over and insisted that keeping my natural nails wasn't possible without soaking them in acetone. That's simply not true. I've had acrylics removed this way many times before. It takes more patience, but it absolutely can be done. If your salon isn't willing or able to perform the service I requested, tell the customer before you start removing layers of their natural nails--not after the damage has already been done. For the technician and manager: acrylic nails can be removed without acetone using careful filing, warm soapy water, cuticle oil, and patience. The key is gentle filing to avoid thinning or damaging the natural nail. Gentle filing--not immediately turning the e-file to its highest speed and aggressively filing away at someone's natural nails. I left disappointed, frustrated, and with thinner nails than I specifically asked to avoid. I won't be returning.

They didn't throw rings of nail color choices at me and tell me to go to the pedicure chair immediately. They have all nail colors displayed in hard bound books in a seating area up front. They ask you to sit and choose your colors (dip, gel, and regular all matching and in the same books). No rush, no pressure. Now on to the best part so far: no more awkward neck rollers on your head or kneading your shoulder blades. This chair alone is worth the visit. It smart senses your body so you're getting massages where you're supposed to instead of to one generic height. Will edit review once service is complete, which I'm sure will be perfection.

I recently visited Cleopatra Nails and chose the 24K pedicure, which was $100. The salon itself is…read morenice, but some of the equipment, particularly the massage chairs, is noticeably older. Unfortunately, I left disappointed with the value of the pedicure. At $100, I expected a noticeably elevated experience, especially when it came to the massage portion of the service. The massage was very minimal--mostly just a few passes up and down the sides of my legs--and did not feel like the upgraded service I expected at this price point. I normally get gel polish, but the salon charges an additional $20 to apply gel polish, and don't forget 5.00 to remove, including gel previously applied there, so this time I opted for regular polish. The initial polish application was clumpy and inconsistent and had to be redone several times. Eventually, I accepted the final result, although it still wasn't what I would expect from a premium pedicure. The service overall was okay, and my technician was pleasant, but the experience simply did not match the price. It felt more comparable to a $60 pedicure with a significant premium added rather than a true $100 luxury service. With the cost of nail services continuing to increase, I'm willing to pay more for an excellent pedicure--but I also expect the quality, massage, products, and overall experience to reflect that price. Unfortunately, this one did not. I'm still on the hunt for a salon that offers a genuinely great pedicure where the experience matches the price.
