I found her to be a great and safe healer of mind, body and spirit! I came to see Dr. Jing because I was suffering from low back pain caused by arthritis and was getting married in 3 months. In a short period of time I was out of pain and had a much better quality of life. Plus I was an active participant at my wedding. I've been seeing chiropractors and acupuncturists for many years and they were all good practitioners, but Dr. Jing is clearly the best in my experience. I visited my doctor in early December when I became so uncomfortable because of the pain. I could not push open a heavy door or lift anything even just somewhat heavy. I couldn't reach behind me and the pain woke me as I slept. My doctor recommended PT and I met with a therapist in January, where I was given several exercises and directions to attempt to ease my pain. I found some relief but not enough. I was still taking Tylenol and Aleve in an effort to function and to sleep. In May, a gentleman where I volunteered told me acupuncture helped him greatly. Still skeptical , I mentioned this to a relative and she encouraged me to give it a try since her husband went to Frank Grill and found this treatment to be remarkably helpful. So I went , less than enthusiastically, but I found both Angela and Frank Grill, two very kind people, assured me that this could indeed work. The "happy ending" is this. After only two treatments, I was off the pain medication. After my next treatment , I found myself able to lift items up to 5 pounds but , most of all, I can sleep without pain. I am no longer that skeptic. One of my best decisions ever. (Oh, and the needle part? I hardly knew he was "poking at me" )

After 5 treatments the headaches are gone! I have to say, "It's amazing!" I highly recommend Frank. He's kind, considerate, down to earth and is wonderful about explaining the how's and why's of the practice of acupuncture. I plan to set up a maintenance program with him. Jim of Valley Acupuncture is a miracle worker!…read more Since the fall of 2013 I had been dealing with right shoulder and arm pain. The ortho doctor I saw several times for this problem first injected cortisone into the shoulder which, when I awoke the next day, caused the worst pain I had experienced since the onset of my problem. Subsequent visits with the ortho guy and a MRI outlined my only option to be surgery even though the ortho guy was uncertain exactly what would be found during surgery. Being that I had arthroscopic surgery on the left should several years ago with this ortho doctor and have never felt 100% healed, I opted to try an alternative method of treatment. Jim and Valley Acupuncture came recommended to me by my masseuse so I thought...why not? I saw Jim each week for several weeks and then bi-weekly for another few weeks from March to May of 2014. I am happy to say that while I am not completely and totally pain free, I am as close to it as I believe will be possible given my activities and my age (late 50's). Prior to seeing Jim, I woke many times during the night with tingling and a heaviness that caused severe pain in my right arm. Since being treated by Jim, my nights are free of pain and free of the heavy feeling that I experienced prior to my visit to Valley Acupuncture. Jim is professional and personable and truly cares about his patients and their well being. Valley Acupuncture will be my first stop when I need to see a health care professional for any and all arm, shoulder and back issues. I expect Jim is equally qualified to treat other maladies and will use him in the future as the valuable resource that he is.

When I first began working under Dr. Allison Rodgers' exceptional care at Fertility Centers of…read moreIllinois in May 2019, she suggested that I compliment my treatment by seeing an acupuncturist in Wheaton. She said, "I don't know what he does but it works. What do you have to lose?" That acupuncturist was Peter Harvey at Eastern Healing. Fast forward to September 2020, after multiple canceled FETs due to poor response and thin lining issues, Peter suggested to Dr. Rodgers that we try a natural, unmedicated cycle with herbs. Dr. Rodgers agreed. What did we have to lose? It was worth a shot. During my three year IVF journey, I prepped for several FETs (8 of which were canceled due poor results) and the one that actually worked was because of Peter's dedicated collaboration with Dr. Rodgers. The natural cycle coupled with herbs resulted in the thickest and best looking my uterine lining ever got over the three years. Because of this, I was able to proceed with my FET. Many thanks to Peter for being my advocate, for trying different approaches, never giving up and helping my husband and me realize our dreams of becoming parents. Our sweet boy was born earlier this year. We are eternally grateful.

NOTE: Please note that dates for positive reviews are from years past!…read more Just stay away. I would give zero stars if I could. If Peter ever was compassionate, that was before his current burnout. I contacted Peter to begin acupuncture during my third IVF cycle (for male factor). I ignored a few red flags during my early appointments and tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. I understood he wanted me to give him four months to work with me before my next cycle. However, after consulting two of the top REs in both Chicago and NY (Dr. Catenacci at AFCC Chicago and Dr. Irani at Cornell NY) I made the decision that I would move forward with a cycle in November. While I understood he would be disappointed, I expected him to be professional. I took the time to explain to Peter that in addition to the expert medical opinions I received encouraging me to move forward in November, there were a number of other factors (both personal and financial) that made this timing right for me. Instead, Peter became extremely enraged and aggressive. He informed me that if I moved forward with an IVF cycle in November, I would be unlikely to become pregnant. And accordingly to Peter, if I did, it would not result in a live birth. Then, he went on to share with me the story of a 43 y/o IVF patient of his he saw that day. He shared that he encouraged her to take time off before her next cycle, but she did not (as if 43 y/os have a ton of time..). She then became pregnant with twins. He said he then did not see her for 6 weeks. She then lost the twins at 10 weeks. He blamed her loss on her not keeping up with acupuncture. My reason for seeking acupuncture is in large part stress reduction. I don't need an acupuncturist scaring me to death. While I expect an opinion and advice, he was not professional or compassionate. I will be looking elsewhere.
