He was so warm & extremely optimistic. This was my second consult- first with Randy Morris, who was a complete douche-canoe. So i was nervous I'd have a similar experience with Dr. Miller. He was the complete opposite. He really pushed IVF for us as it gave us the best chances. I was reluctant to jump right to IVF after not trying IUI, but I trusted him. And thanks to him, I now have a beautiful one month old baby girl! I'm so glad we trusted Dr. Miller and am incredibly grateful to him for giving us our miracle. My one complaint is there was a lot of miscommunication with his nurses not giving me some info, or they'd leave me a message after they closed for the day, and then I couldn't reach them for clarification without bothering their after hours line. But all that was worth it to be holding my sweet miracle now. This man works miracles!

I actually had an excellent experience with the doctors for ob/gyn for over 8 years, which was…read moreterminated by the office staff in an office I have never been to or had an appointment with who got in there via computer system, actual relationship unknown other than the office she works in is probably 20 minutes from where I live per Google Maps. Demanded cash under the table in large amounts for further appointments that evidently had included terminating my insurance at appt dates, only for Naperville at one point, and false statements about accepting my insurance that when I went to the insurance company finally they did remedy as well as make sure she no longer was able to withhold records and for cash only for that either. But that is the one criticism I have, which is that office staff are able to and there was nothing I could do about it or the disturbance she was conducting for a good two weeks. At one point she went on at length about how the patients must learn all of their computer systems per office, and its evidently become somewhat like that with and via office managers in general at least at that point. I would actually recommend not returning any manager calls or emails that start like this and instead going straight to the insurance company to get your records and terminate the disturbance. In the long run HRD can sue the companies about staff vs us, but on this basis, ending the disturbance and stranger danger bullying and worse, is all you can do. There is law separating us from them with annual training course training required by HRA, but beyond that, you are being dragged into a war only they benefit from unless forcibly terminated. Licensing almost always also does this, but its also a long drawn out nightmare potentially while they keep going, vs insurance company vs to enforce the law to be on their provider list as clout being waived, able to complain on your behalf if they feel they should. Its pretty much all you can do. Also per insurance co as the only people who will and can protect you from them. And having the same problem reaching anybody who would provide mandatory licensed instead of the office staff. You have a computer system database invasion of your regulated info access by a practitioner unsupervised stranger danger when they do this highly illegal thing to patients and customers. Almost always anonymous due to illegality known to the employee. In banking at one point in the 90s, people like this were "borrowing" savings account deposits as 'free loans' to invest and return that got caught when they couldn't put the money back. The federal court issued a ruling allowing supervisor arrest for not monitoring the employees in that kind of case and theft "under their noses". Here they would need to block employees from unlimited access to our information and supervise them to stop them, and set computer system alarms and triggers notifying practitioners, but so far I know of nobody coming down on practitioners or other entities when staff do this but at US Bank also banking industry. In an analagous in that misuse regard, we now have to go somewhere else also for that much safety from the persons involved, of unknown relationship or what provoked this. But you can get your records out of them which are actually in turns out are supposed to be available on demand for free from the electronic portal but you have to know that and locate them. It was very sad in some ways after that kind of a very positive experience with the doctors who made a real difference vs what it usually seems or can turn into causing nasty problems that shouldn't be there., for years and years, and the office in Naperville or Lutheran General a couple of times. But it seems to be a coming plague with office employees and the public with licensed regulated services that aren't per regulation when the staff can turn them into this with a danger to you if they successfully entrap you into more than terminating the anonymous office person and getting your records, etc. Appears to be computer system office management system created as a problem in general potentially anywhere you go that could happen any time. Always licensed services are immediately out the window when it does. There is so little on practical basis that you can do about it and your safety, with your medical services out the window entirely, that its important to know how to at least get your records so you can get timely care somewhere else if at all possible and the insurance company can address what is supposed to be 30 days notice required also for services with a covering physician and refills, if you can't do it fast enough to go somewhere else in time for any reason.

We were not assigned another doctor in the practice to fill in for questions. Our nurse was gruff and rude about this. Nurse Agnes and the woman at the front desk (Linda?) are unhelpful, rude and short. I dreaded working with Agnes or having to ask her any sort of question. She is impatient and cold. And with IVF you will have many many questions especially first timers. IVF and infertility is an extremely expensive, stressful and emotionally draining process. This clinic does nothing to make this process easier or more compassionate. If anything they make it 1,000% harder and 1,000% more confusing. Never once did Dr Sipe call us personally to deliver any results or news as our new clinic has. Never once did he do any of our IUI's himself. There is no personalized care here. Their online portal is a way for them to avoid you. Email is not the correct means of communication in this particular industry. Sometimes you need a live person. This clinic makes you feel more vulnerable and makes you feel like you are just dollar signs to them. I lost all trust in them and trust is essential in this industry. Their billing is not clear and we received one quote from Dr Sipe and a much higher estimate and invoice from billing. It feels unclear on purpose. I'm still receiving bills 7 months later. When you want your medical records released they are basically held hostage unless you push and stay on top of them and pay exorbitant fees or they say they have 30 days to release them. We were caught up on all bills from them and they still set up road blocks to not give me access to my information. Unacceptable and borderline unethical. I gladly paid the fees to get as far as possible from this practice as quickly as possible. This type of experience is not one that will help you get pregnant. Adding more stress will only make your timeline longer. Also, look up their SART data. www.sartonline.com. It's great compared to other practices in Chicago. I absolutely do not recommend FCI. If you want TLC, knowledgeable and compassionate nurses go to Advanced Fertility Centers of Chicago and see Dr Irani. He was a godsend. FCI was a terrible experience for us and I thank god we stopped working with them and found AFCC.

Care: Of all my options, they had the most compassionate and personal care, the staff and MD's were always very nice, attentive. They clearly laid out my options, which had the best chances, and made a personal plan for me. They were dissapointed for me when things didn't work. I always got a call from the doctor, not staff, with bad news, and frequently with good news too. I genuinely felt like Dr. Klipstien cared. Between the portal and phone calls she was easy to get a hold of. Medically they are right in step with the latest treatments/options. The stats are not great anywhere for inferitlity. The stats here are high average. I went to the RE with the best stats in illinois. He offered nothing different. All an RE can do is their best, and I felt like I got thier best every time we tried. Costs: They worked with my insurance, were up front about costs. Inferitlity treatment is expensive. Their charges are in line with the other RE's I went to. It would be amazing if you could only pay if it worked, but that is not how elective medical care works. They have to get money upfront, or people would never pay them. You don't go to your hairstylist and leave without paying. You can't have someone paint your house and own them thousands of dollars for months. Doctors have to charge money for thier services and they can't be your bank. All fertility clinics are like this. Apts: My only complaint was my home office (arlington heights) was not always open. They had some staffing issues during one of my cycles andI had to go to hoffman estates. I much prefered my smaller office, and it was closer to work. Otherwise I was happy with the early am apts, and it was always easy to move around apts. So- after 3 chicagoland RE's, 7 rounds of various treatments, I can say this is the one I'd reccomend in chicago. Smaller, more personal care, good communication and knowledge, nice electronic portal.

I am want to enjoy this journey that's why I am choosing to look for a different facility . I STRONGLY DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. All the 1 star review are true. They only call when you need to pay bills. No empathy or compassion whatsoever. I am glad I didnt start IVF -WITH THEM. It would have been total hell. Dr. Klipstein is a nice person overall , with very warm and calm personality BUT, every appointment we had was very quick and she doesn't seem to want to answer many questions which is little disappointing bc it is such an emotional experience for many woman. I am super disappointed and hope they change customer service personal especially Megan . She is the face of the practice people come up to her and she gives very awful vibes.

Having had a good experience previously with FCI (specifically Oakbrook Terrace, now Hinsdale), we decided to work with FCI Glenview due to being close to my work. Let's just say we were glad we made the switch and to one very close to home! From day one, working with AFCC was smooth and comforting. Insurance costs were discussed up-front, so we knew what was our responsibility. Each appointment was welcoming and generally convenient. On a side note, when I was at FCI, they opened their doors at 6:30 am for blood work and ultrasounds. The Crystal Lake location is open at 7:30 am...a little less convenient for those who need to go to work early but not a deal breaker. However, I only saw Dr. Irani during the initial appointment and worked mostly with his nurse, Ashley, for every blood draw and ultrasound. It looks like communication though with Dr. Irani and Ashley was solid because I can proudly say that I am 2 weeks pregnant from a successful IUI procedure (and after the 1st try!!).
