I'd been struggling with…read moredepression and anxiety since I was 15, and now at 20 the consequences of these conditions were having a disastrous affect on my school performance. I went to this doctor because I needed help. I felt like an outsider looking in, trying but failing to be a Human Normal. I hated myself with fury and fire. And I didn't want to want to die, but I certainly longed for an eternal reprieve from the pain. So I went to a doctor. I was in school in Brooklyn but grew up in Texas, and as I was home for the holidays, I started seeing Dr. Alloju. I didn't know the far-reaching and indelible mark this would leave on my life, changing the course completely. I was a bright kid. I read constantly. A bit of a nerd. A writing major. I wanted to write plays and movies. But here's what happened instead: After talking to me for 45 minutes and barely listening, this woman diagnosed me as having Bipolar II Disorder. I wasn't that upset about it because I thought, well maybe she's right and maybe she can help me. Over the course of the next year, culminating in a near-death experience, I was put on these medications concurrently: Lamictal 400mg, Seroquel 350mg, Klonopin 2mg twice daily, and to cap it all off, Geodon 80mg. This is enough medication to sedate an obese elephant. I was 20 years old, 5'2 and 107 lbs. I had to drop out of college because I almost died from this demented drug cocktail. That was a long time ago and I'm still angry. I'm still angry that it took me 10 more years before I was properly diagnosed as ADHD and on the autism spectrum. I didn't need to be on those drugs. I just didn't. When I told her they weren't working, she'd just increase the dosages. Once, during a phone session, she said I sounded drunk and went a step further to label me as an alcoholic. I didn't really drink at the time; my words were slurred because of the sedating medication. The irony, of course, is that Dr. Alloju has multiple DUIs and was on some sort of probation while treating me. I only have flashbulb memories from an entire year of my life. Apparently I almost died from an overdose of these medications. It took many years to try and get my life back from this monster. This is all to say, this woman will destroy your mind, body, and spirit. And she almost ended my life. What she did to me was criminal. Not just malpractice, although it was also that, but it was a deeply immoral negligence and breach of trust. At least if she *had* killed me she might not be practicing to this day. Stay. Away.

Keri Davis was very welcoming and Mrs. Lemond was very patient when listening to my 10 year old son describe his issues. She asked him questions to get him to think and waited patiently as he responded. After listening to our concerns she recommended us to a GI doctor and got us started on the right path for him. He no longer complains of stomach issues. As a person with a degree in Dietetics I have some knowledge in the world of nutrition however, RDs have a much more extensive amount of experience and expertise, so I trust them and prefer to go to them when I have tough questions or serious medical issues. This place deserves so much worse than just a bad review.. I was GROSSLY misled by what I thought to be a trustworthy doctor. I went in for my first visit back in June and was told by Dr Brewer and his insurance nurse that if I would allow them to do an endoscopy they could tell insurance I had a hiatal hernia. With a diagnosis of hiatal hernia, they could utilize my insurance to cover the facility fees, bringing the total for a bypass to approximately $6500 out of pocket. So I agreed to undergo the endoscopy.. After the endoscopy I was somehow told they could not provide a total cost for the surgery up front, instead I was instructed that I must fulfill all of these costly pre-requisites before I could be given a price. By the time I had completed all of the requisites (beginning of September), the originally quoted price of $6500 jumped to over $10.5k! But the worst part was, I had bills coming in worth thousands on top of that quoted price just from the prerequisite procedures! The prerequisite procedures were elaborate and VERY invasive, they cost thousands of dollars and when I reminded them that I said from the very first visit that I couldn't afford $10,000+ they said I never mentioned anything like that, even denied quoting me $6500.. unfortunately they're very cunning and kept everything "off record" so I'm left with thousands of dollars in medical bills for a procedure I cannot afford! None of this sounds "normal" to anyone I tell.. I wonder if there is any sort of recourse I could seek to cover the thousands in bills I have for no reason whatsoever?
