Julie has been an integral part of my journey. She's helped me see things from new perspectives that have helped me to grow, evolve, and approach life's challenges in a healthier way. I truly value how she balances empathy and understanding with thoughtful challenges that encourage personal development. Julie's warm, caring personality and sense of humor makes sessions feel approachable and enjoyable. I also appreciate how she shares her own experiences, as it encourages open conversation and gives me alternative ways to think about things. My time with Julie has made a meaningful difference, and I strongly recommend working with her. Thanks Julie! read more

Jennifer from Healing Hearts has been working with my teenage son. He is doing EMDR and is slowly making progress. He took to Jennifer immediately- she has very kind grounded energy and she also takes insurance. The office is peaceful and a well decorated space. Nolan wanted to see someone in person and needed a skilled practitioner so we have been very happy with her and Nolan likes to take his dog with him...she is also feeling better lol. We highly recommend this practice and Jennifer! read more

Jennifer has been an invaluable source of support for my child during a particularly challenging period of life. From the beginning, she created an environment where my child felt safe, respected, and genuinely heard. Her ability to build trust while maintaining professionalism has made a meaningful difference in my child's emotional well-being and personal growth. Jennifer approaches her work with compassion, patience, and insight. She helps young people develop practical coping skills, improve self-awareness, and navigate difficult emotions in a healthy and constructive way. My child consistently feels supported and understood, which has been instrumental in fostering resilience and confidence. As a parent, I have been impressed by Jennifer's professionalism, integrity, and dedication to the well-being of the children and families she serves. She communicates thoughtfully, demonstrates excellent judgment, and clearly cares deeply about helping her clients succeed. I am grateful for the positive impact Jennifer has had on my child's life and would confidently recommend her to any parent seeking a skilled, compassionate, and trustworthy therapist for their child or adolescent. We've worked with her for over 4 years. read more

Healing Hearts has been amazing to me. I got so lucky with the runaround usually when you have medi cal. We have the blue shield promise plan. I called my number on my card and this amazing guy told me about a website and I went there and found Healing Hearts under my insurance. I called and was able to text/email easily and make an appointment that same week! I was like what!? With medi cal an actual therapist you can speak to and so quickly and easily? It's amazing. Pretty soon they will be swarmed with medi cal patients however we need help to and Jazlynn has been so amazing! I began with Megan but not all of them are fully licensed so it depends what type of therapy you need. I needed someone with more trauma experience. And Jazlynn already gives me great ideas. I also have my son seeing Christina and she is amazing he actually goes in with her by himself after 4 sessions. I am proud of him I'm not really sure all the work they are doing with him as she doesn't explain a lot to me however when I ask specifically she will reply read more

See all

I see two therapists from this practice. One for family therapy with 3 other close family members, and another as my personal therapist. I adore both of my therapists more than words can describe. Both of these women are so different and still so amazing and helpful in ways I will be forever grateful for. As most people, I am very picky with therapists. I have had some bad experiences, some weird experiences, and some very... (to put it kindly and lightly) impartial experiences (throughout my therapy journey). So, when I see a new therapist I am upfront and let them know it'll take a few sessions for me to figure out the vibe and if I want to move forward. I'd like to specifically note as well that I am not religious in any way. I do typically shy away from therapists who have religious affiliations but Jennifer has been an exception for me personally. Of course I can't speak for everyone but I do have some religious specific trauma so normally I turn my nose up at therapists who state any religious affiliation on their site. When Jenn and I first met with my family I was very upfront about my feelings. Jenn has never made me feel any other way, than I already do, about religion. She respects me always and honestly- she just loves helping families overcome their issues. She's a great mediator for sure. Jennifer is my first family therapist and I am SO for her. She has helped me and my family communicate in ways I never expected we'd be capable of. She's so calming and has such a big heart. I have walked away from session, early, leaving everyone else there, speechlessly upset, and who calls within a few minutes? Jenn. She gave me enough time to let me breathe and think a bit- but then made sure I was ok and then asked if we could talk later to finish the session and confirm I still felt heard/understood/affirmed despite my initial walkout reaction. Megan is the fourth longterm therapist I've seen. My second favorite currently but I expect with time she'll bump up to number one- she's close but I'm standoffish Megan is a bright and shiny North Star. I will be forever grateful for the calming and steady presence she holds. Megan and I have the same medical condition and take similar medications. She has made me feel seen and heard in ways no other doctor who treats me for my condition has made me feel. The side effects from the meds we take and our overall condition can be overwhelming and Megan has given me so many tools to help combat certain feelings and daily obstacles that used to feel impossible to deal with. Therapy is hard, people are hard, emotions are hard. Obviously, I would recommend both of these therapists (as I already have)- but at the end of the day it's who you vibe with. With that being said, the therapist who owns the practice is great at hiring a diverse staff. She has an array of personalities at her practice and if you'd like to give healing hearts a try I would totally recommend it. read more

Dana has been fantastic with our daughter. She has a natural ability to build rapport and create a space where teens feel comfortable opening up. My daughter felt at ease with her very quickly, which isn't always easy to achieve. She also uses creative approaches like art and writing stories during sessions, which keeps my daughter engaged and helps her express what she's feeling without it being overwhelming. That creativity has made therapy feel much less intimidating. It's clear that Dana truly cares about her clients, and we've been very grateful for the support she's given our family. read more

This review is for Dana, as she is the only therapist I've worked with at Healing Hearts. I started working with Dana after a rough couple years (I'd previously tried a different therapist that was very stoic and not a good fit), and Dana has been so warm and welcoming! She's very attentive, explains healing options, and is always considerate of individual comfort levels. The weeks that I'm feeling good, we use that time to highlight the positives and expand that focus, which is just as impactful! She's the best combo of professionalism and expertise, while providing a safe space to open up for healing! read more

Healing Hearts has been a blessing to our family. More specifically, Jennifer Hill. We were in an urgent matter & needed counseling asap for our son who was experiencing heavy anxiety. Mrs. Hill was quick to respond & took the time to listen & advise our situation. Her skills & empathy have turned our son's anxiety around. He's learned how to navigate emotions & courage. It's apparent how much his confidence has grown & still growing. Not only has she helped our son, but she's given our family a voice & hope. Mrs. Hill is accessible, professional, & encouraging. She is truly someone who cares & is passionate about what she does. Healing Hearts, Jennifer will always be apart of our family & testimony. If you are looking for that missing piece or extra support, look no further, Healing Hearts is it. Can't express enough how much of an answered prayer they are. read more

The disconnection in my marriage was so bad that I was ready to give up, but decided to give it one last shot by trying some couples therapy, and thank god I did and found Jennifer! From our first session, she made us feel comfortable and understood. Her empathetic and insightful guidance helped us open up and address the root of our issues. She continues to equip us with effective communication techniques and conflict management tools, which have been invaluable in rebuilding our relationship. Thanks to Jennifer, we have reconnected on a deeper level and rediscovered the joy and love that initially brought us together. It doesn't happen overnight, but having a safe place to discuss our issues and knowing we will gain tools to solve them, gives us a lot of comfort within our marriage. Thank you Jennifer, we appreciate everything you've done to help us! read more

I have had an amazing experience with Healing Hearts Counseling. I started counseling to deal with grief and trauma from the loss of an important relationship, and the physical effects it was having on me. I was supported and encouraged, given practical help and tools that benefited me emotionally, mentally, and physically. I got to work with Dana, a very insightful and talented counselor, who is truly dedicated to helping her clients grow and thrive. She genuinely cared about me and what I was going through. I have never recommended another counselor before. She was the right fit for me and came into my life at just the right time. I will be forever grateful to her, especially, and the whole Healing Hearts Counseling team! Thank you for everything! read more

My son was not open to therapy, after one session with Dana he changed his mind. This review is from my son.... Dana makes me feel very comfortable. I have been seeing a therapist with Healing Hearts for several months now. I'm so grateful for the supportive and nurturing presence Dana offers both via telehealth and in-person office visits. She has a way of cultivating a safe space to explore the often difficult challenges of addressing past trauma, while also peppering in light-hearted moments of humor and warmth. She is also certified in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), a therapy technique that has been shown to be very helpful to many people working on processing trauma. I highly suggest requesting a session with the most amazing therapy kitten, Oliver, for no extra charge. Seriously, Dana is amazing and I'm very thankful for having met her. I have been working with Cherrie at Healing Hearts for a few months now and I feel that I am making a lot of progress. She is intelligent, insightful and always respectful of my time. She makes me feel safe to be vulnerable and helps me to see my own successes that I sometimes overlook. Each week, I spend days thinking about what we have uncovered together and I look forward to our next opportunity to talk. The quality of the care Cherrie provides is the best I have had from any therapist. In the past, I have had unsatisfactory experiences in therapy, but now I see that I just wasn't working with the right person. I wish I had not spend so much time thinking that therapy is a risk and isn't safe... but today is a new day, and now I get to have a great new voice who calls me on my BS, encourages and supports me, and helps me to discover what works and what doesn't. read more

Jenn has been such a blessing to our family. We have two teens, a boy and a girl and we are a close family. We had some dynamics and areas we wanted to work on and tweak and of course you always need an outsider for those situations. Jenn was so amazing getting in there with each one of us and worked with us as a whole. We saw such a difference in just a few sessions with our time with Jenn. Her warmth and direct approach is exactly what our family needed. We're also dog lovers so love having her two dogs in the session with us was a bonus! read more

They're great at working with insurance! It's nice to be able to focus on healing rather than paper work. The therapists are passionate and form goals and methods of care with you, rather than for you. I worked with Hailey Jackson, and if her care is reflective of the practice, you can expect to feel respected, supported, and validated. I feel I was given the space and tools to reconnect with myself. I highly recommend their services to anyone, but especially younger generations struggling to cope with the world around them. read more

Jennifer is so sweet and a great therapist. I love her dogs Peanut and Levi. She is very professional

If you are looking for a professional environment for your mental health needs, this is not the place for you. I've been involved in multiple forms of therapy and with multiple therapists and Healing Hearts was by far the most unprofessional counseling experience I've ever had. To start, the office is occupied by what I believe are two chihuahuas that were disruptive and aggressive. (One bit my arm when I was there.) The fact a therapist brings aggressive dogs to their office, without considering that their clients might have fears or aversions to them, is incredibly concerning. Secondly, the counselor was in a dress that was so short, that when she adjusted her seat, I could see up it. Which made me very uncomfortable, especially because I was considering going to counseling with my partner so it is incredibly inappropriate attire for the situation. Luckily, it seemed she notice this, so she had the hem pulled around her knee when she was sitting. Thirdly, the counselor was up and walking around throughout the duration of my appointment. She got up to get water. She got up to get Advil. She got up to get another bottled drink. And another time she just got up and started going through her desk drawers. All of these things could have been done before I was called back for my appointment. But she decided that while I'm talking was the most prudent time to shuffle around and go through her desk. I've never seen such a lack of concern for a client. It was incredibly dismissive and did not make me feel that she was actually listening to me. Lastly, she was not able to recommend any informative literature when asked. She looked absolutely bewildered at the fact that I wanted to have something to read through and work on, in between appointments. I understand that there are many other counselors on the team at Healing Hearts and I only experienced one. However, when the head of the team displays this level of unprofessionalism it makes me wary of the others that work under her, if that's the standard she holds for herself. read more

Cherrie has been excellent to work with. She is intelligent, introspective, thoughtful and wise. Working with her has aided me to see blind spots I wasn't aware of. I've been seeing Cherrie since last February and I have nothing but amazing things to say about this process. I've been lucky enough to do a virtual session every week ( on a weekend morning which was perfect for my busy schedule) and now every two weeks after work and let me just say how amazing I feel after each session. She is professional, open, and really validates your feelings. From the first session, Cherrie made me feel comfortable enough to open up and really deal with things that were bothering me that I wanted to resolve. And being told I'm making progress helps me keep going and wanting to continue growing. The openness and feedback I receive is exactly what I was looking for in a therapist. I recommend everyone to find a therapist they feel this level of comfort with! read more
