Attempts to address concerns did not lead to repair, and the focus shifted toward protecting the therapist's personal boundaries rather than supporting stabilization or closure. I left feeling blamed for my distress and unsupported at the end of care. This experience was destabilizing and painful, particularly given the length of the relationship. I encourage others with complex mental health needs to discuss in advance how conflict, boundaries, and termination are handled.

I reached out to Coastal Counseling after reading the great reviews. It took days before hearing back from anyone and then after giving my information to the receptionist (?) they said they would reach out to the therapists to see who would want to take us on. Weeks go by and so I follow up and then the person asks me all the same questions again and then says the same exact thing...they'll reach out to the therapists. Another week goes by and then I get a text message asking if we could do an apt 2 hours before I told them my husband gets home from work. Which is not doable for us. Still waiting to hear back....guess I should look elsewhere. There services are probably great, if you can wait around long enough to actually get an appointment with someone.

I was at a crossroads in my life so to speak and Dr. Wendy, along with my fellow Renny's, helped me through it and along the way helped me realize that I was enough and deserved more and better. I highly recommend working with Dr. Wendy and if you are lucky enough to attend her Renaissance work shop I highly recommend it as well.

I'm the family scapegoat, purpose of family therapy - address elephant in the room. Why rules which applied to everyone else, did not apply to me. My (narcissist/golden child) sister insisted on meeting with her first, before we met together, the 3 of us. Unaware of what was said in that first meeting, was still hopeful Dr. Hill could help to bring awareness to my family about this toxic family dynamic, so that we could move on harmoniously, as a family. While family scapegoating abuse (FSA) is increasingly more common & gaining awareness, it's not fully understood by mainstream therapists. In this situation, counseling can do more harm than good. Especially for the person who's been systemically abused since childhood, not only by the mentally ill/narcissist parent who targeted her, but rest of the family who learned (consciously/subsconsciously) to treat her as the family trash can. That said, during our FIRST session, Dr. Hill said to me, "you DO know you are an alcoholic, right?" I was shocked. I am NOT an alcoholic. Not even CLOSE! And who the hell is SHE to tell ME I am an alcoholic? She didn't even KNOW me. I LITERALLY just met her. No words to describe how offensive this was. Even my sister agreed how bizarre and completely inappropriate this "diagnosis" was. It was just WRONG. I'll be filing a complaint with CA Board of Psychology. This person should NOT have a license. Talk about "doing more harm than good." FYI - not a wonder her therapist license was revoked (aka "voluntarily surrendered") for "unprofessional conduct" in 2007. So how is she still practicing? A loophole law, aka starting a "non-profit" as "ordained minister" several years later. Just exposing the obvious, so that others can make an informed decision. Proceed with caution. *IMPORTANT & RELEVANT- Maria M.'s review - posted only MINUTES after mine? Previously only 33 reviews. Ever posted. IMMEDIATELY after I post mine, Maria M. decides to post her review? What a strange "coincidence?" Again, encouraging everyone to decide for themselves what's going on here. But ... what are the odds?

I came to her when I was feeling hopeless in overcoming my 20+ year battle with anxiety. After trying years of talk therapy, and seeing little success, I made the decision to try hypnotherapy. Just a few weeks into working with Zhanna, I made more progress to overcome my anxiety than I did in the years of weekly psychotherapy sessions. Her style is extremely hands on and integrated as she gives you tools to help you stay accountable to your own healing. Most therapists I've worked with make you feel like another patient, and use a cookie cutter approach. But with Zhanna you feel your treatment is a truly unique experience and that she is just as invested in your healing and your progress as you are. I can't recommend Zhanna enough. She is intuitive, nurturing, compassionate and empathetic. Working with her has astronomically changed my life, how I see myself and my own potential. My only regret is not starting to work with her sooner! If you're ready to truly make a shift in your life, working with Zhanna is a no-brainer. It's challenging work, but her support and encouragement along the way makes it worthwhile. Make the investment in yourself and you will see your life shift radically.

I recently had my first reading, and was so blown away by the experience, which felt like a cross between a therapy session and a meeting with a medium. I've never before tapped into this dimension that surrounds us, and had no idea what to expect. Because of this experience, I've made some fundamental shifts in how I am managing my life journey. It was a powerful supplement to my years of therapy, bringing me a deeper level clarity. The best part is that she recorded the entire session, and I have listened to it several times, peeling back more layers of understanding. Dr. Kieffer is a gifted and skilled individual…read more Our daughter was born via induced labor two weeks early. At about two months old she started having problems with digestion, and was in obvious pain. Sometimes she would cry and then scream herself to sleep after eating. She was on breast milk and we tried different brands of formula and all sorts of combinations to try to ease her digestive problems. She would struggle and struggle to have a BM, her whole body tense and contracting, and when she did it was a small but non-productive explosion. She was born very content but her life was becoming a cycle of waking up hungry, eating, crying/screaming, and sleep. My wife and I were very concerned. We knew we had more than a "colicky" baby as out GP had told us. My wife committed herself to finding a solution and started researching the symptoms. It was a conversation with a friend of hers that brought up Osteopathy, as her friend's daughter had been relieved of acid reflux problems through Osteopathic treatment. My wife found Dr. Kieffer through an extensive search for DOs with specific abilities and familiarity with infants. Within minutes of sitting down with Dr. Kieffer I felt we were on the right path. Dr. Kieffer started out by asking about the pregnancy. She wanted to go back to learn what she could about our daughter's time in the womb. Obviously she wanted foundational information before determining a course of treatment, or if Osteopathic treatment was even an option. After a lengthy conversation she began examining our daughter. What happened next was awesome. Our tired, tense, fidgety infant "melted" in Dr. Kieffer's hands on the exam table as Dr. Kieffer worked her "magic". As she gently and slowly used her skilled and practiced hands to work with our daughter my confidence in our decision grew. Dr. Kieffer was soothing and comforting to our daughter and it was obvious our daughter was feeling relief immediately. That night after we got home from that very first visit our daughter had the best night of sleep she had since entering this world. So did we! We followed up with three more visits. Each time Dr. Kieffer used her skills, knowledge and ability to gently work with our daughter and each time we saw our daughter becoming a happier baby as a result. After the fourth visit Dr. Kieffer advised that our daughter seemed to be doing well and she didn't see a need for more treatments unless symptoms reappeared. We were prepared to go for treatment as long as it took. Obviously Dr. Keiffer isn't in this practice for the money, she genuinely wants to help people feel better. Now a little over four months old, our daughter is a very happy, healthy "normal" baby that sleeps like champ, has a healthy appetite, normal BMs, and is learning to laugh at silly faces and make a variety of funny noises. In my opinion Dr. Kieffer greatly improved our daughter's quality of life. As a parent I am very grateful for her skilled treatment of my daughter. If you or someone you know has a baby that is more than just a little colicky, or seems to be having trouble with digestion or sleep I very strongly recommend a consult with Dr. Kieffer.

(not hers, as she was not taking new patients at the time)-- instead, I went to see Dr. Kieffer, and I'm glad. Think holistic medicine, fully clothed treatments, and unbelievable results. I had suffered from allergies for almost my entire adult life. Two visits in, I ditched the inhalant, and I've been allergy-free since. Lower back pain? Gone. Now, I schedule a visit about once every six months for a check/tune-up, and I feel better than ever before. I'm a believer, and I think you will be too.
