Tawny provided me with the best massage of my life! When I arrived, I had been experiencing shoulder spasms for a week, and was having trouble sleeping due to neck pain. Tawny was able to feel where my muscles had tightened, and systematically and thoroughly worked specific areas until I was functional again. She has a very calming voice and was extremely considerate of the temperature in the room, going so far as to turn the heater on the night before. Tawny was the highlight of a wonderful Idyllwild vacation. I can't wait to visit again. read more

I been fortunate to receive a professional massage every week, from various masseuses, in many countries around the world (one perk to traveling for business...) I had the fortune of receiving a massage from Tawny earlier this year (after a mountain bike race) and, I have to say, it was THE best massage I've ever received in my life. Her technique, her strength and, most importantly, her attention to detail was unsurpassed by any other massage I've received. She doesn't just provide a 'rub down' as so many other do...she's a therapist, diagnosing and fixing issues in your body. I can't wait to make the trip back up to Idyllwild not only to visit the beautiful mountains, but to utilize Tawny's services once again! read more

Tawny was very accommodating to us being 3 hours late due to road closures. however she did charge us more for the inconvenience. She made a special accommodation for us and got some roses to help make it special which was very nice of her. Unfortunately she charged us for an hour and a half massage when she only gave my bf and hour massage which is unethical. Overall good experience minus being overcharged and not encouraging my bf to relax instead of chatting. read more

3-19-12 My husband and I rented a cabin in Idyllwild for my birthday and a relaxing getaway. We went into town to try to find a masseuse, for a special treat. They were either closed or out of business. I Googled Idyllwild Massage and up came Healing Hands Massage Therapy, which is Tawny. I called her and she came over to our cabin. I just finished my birthday 1.5 hour massage and I have to say she was fantastic. She was tranquil and had amazingly strong hands. She stretched me in a few different ways than I have ever had and her mixture of massage techniques was amazing and perfect. I will definately use her again. If you are in Idyllwild you can not go wrong. Darcey read more

On Father's Day weekend, my husband got me a60 minute massage. Tawney was amazing. She asked questions and listened to me and my needs and focused on the areas I needed her to. I have chronic pain in my left shoulder from carrying my children, and after my massage with her--it was the first time in two years that I was pain free. She took the time to ask my needs and followed through with them as opposed to asking and doing what she always does. I am grateful to her for helping me and I only wished I lived in idlyllwild to visit with her more often. Thank you so much. read more

I've been to a whole lot of different massage therapists. Everything from Massage Envy to the Ritz Carlton and Burke. Tawny was, by far, the best massage experience I've ever had. She has a magnificently positive energy - such a loving person! And she really knows her stuff! I live in LA, and I'll definitely make the trek back to Idyllwild for another massage. I have never felt so much better after a massage. Thanks Tawny! read more

Tawny is the best massage therapist I have ever had and I have seen many over the years. She has a unique style to her massage and has a knack for knowing exactly where your body needs attention. I especially love her sound healing at the end. I always leave feeling fantastic and sad that I have to travel 2 hours from home to get to her. That's ok-it makes my trips to Idyllwild even better. read more

I recently visited Idyllwild for weekend get away with my girlfriend and got a 75 min massage from Tawny Brooke (Certified Massage Therapist). Holy cow - if you want a serious deep tissue message this is the gal for you. She's been in practice for 9 years - 6 in Idyllwild and I would definitely use her again. She was delightful and used a some great oils as well as some aromatherapy to ensure my relaxation. So if you really want to treat yourself to some relaxation when you're in Idyllwild look Tawny up. She has her own studio and also does house calls I believe. She came to the Inn I stayed at but I can not recommend staying there - see my review for Cedar Creek Inn. read more

My husband is a world-renowned Rolfer, so I get a ton of bodywork. i would have to put Tawney's massage way up at the top of my list. When she first walked into my cabin, I thought I had made a mistake. She is just a little slip of a thing. She looks 18 but she told me that she was 30 and the mother of 2 boys. I guess there is a fountain of youth somewhere in Idyllwild. Anyway, I lay on the table and from the second she touched me, I knew it was gonna be amazing. Not only did she work strong and deep, but she had a very creative style of massage that i haven't encountered before. I think she has developed a lot of her own strokes. You can tell a seasoned professional because it doesn't feel like they are following a format. If you have the time, go for the 70 minutes. She's worth it. read more

Tawny is a fantastic massage therapist and a wonderful person. My wife and I come up to IDY every 6 weeks or so, and always look forward to a massage from Tawny. During the session, she's great at figuring out where tension is built and goes after those spots vigorously. She draws from a variety of techniques. You would do well to have a massage from Tawny. read more

It was my bachelorette weekend and I decided I would skip Vegas and head to Idyllwild for a relaxing weekend with 7 of my lady friends. This trip was great and one of the major highlights was getting my FIRST MASSAGE EVER from Tawny. From the moment she walked into our cabin, I knew the experience was going to be great. She has a calm and soothing voice and she mixes different types of massages together in one session. I knew my massage was great and my friends who are more experienced massage-goers agreed. Tawny is awesome and I couldn't think of a better person to break my massage cherry! read more

Massage was sublime,. Prices reasonable. Tawny was awesome and I will use her again.

I had the wonderful experience of receiving a massage from Tawny today! It was one of the better massages that I have received in quite a while. Tawny is wonderful! My wife and I stayed in Idyllwild for several days after our crazy wedding weekend. Tawny was able to accommodate both of us last minute - she was very flexible. She had an intuitive touch and a warm, friendly demeanor - and she gave a great massage! We both left feeling rejuvenated. Thanks! read more

Tawny has developed her own routine which is a combined form therapeutic, relaxing and healing massage, all at the same time. It truly was a multi-sensory experience. She was flexible enough to set up on the deck. The birdsong, smell of the forest combined with her aromatics, and some sound healing she did at the end made for a wonderfully auditory experience, which helped me relax into her caring touch. She shared that she knew at an early age (before the end of high school) that massage was her life's calling. She is wonderfully intuitive, caring and nurturing. Exceptional experience. read more

I took my fiancé to get a full body massage today for our five year anniversary and we left with absolute satisfaction! Tawny is such a kindred spirit with an amazing talent. Daniel (my fiancé) has really bad back pain and she went above and beyond for him by giving him tips to alleviate the pain and explained her method of therapy along the way. You can't find this quality of a message anywhere but here in such a relaxing and inviting environment. It was a pleasure to have had this experience today. I would recommend giving Tawny a call, she knows what she's doing! read more

Because of multiple injuries, my back is really high maintenence. I need to do lots of stretching to keep it happy. The massage with Tawny felt amazing, I noticed feeling so much looser the next day. Tawny has great technique, but more importantly she really cares about her clients. You can tell that she loves her work and sees the higher purpose in it. Too bad I don't live in the area. I would she her regularly. read more

Finding a place to get a massage in Idyllwild was not an easy task. Once I found Tawny on Yelp she was nothing but accommodating and flexible while trying to set up an appt for myself and my friend. She has an in house studio and will also make house calls. She is sweet with a soothing voice but man those hands are strong. I would put her massage in my top 5 of massages and I am a massage junkie. She isn't one of those that just glide over your body blindly. Her hands feel where your pain is and she will work it out. Because Idyllwild is a small forest town while shopping in the village we mentioned we were going to see Tawny to the local custom leather shop owner and he proceeded to draw us a map of how to get to her home studio. He got the HWY number off by one but hey who needs to know the numbers when there is only 1 HWY and you've lived there for 20 years. Meeting Tawny really closed off our mini vacation experience in an awesome way. read more
